Literally within seconds of us pulling in there, two cop cars swing in behind us and hitsus with the spotlight. T is in the back seat, and with incredible presence of mind, stashes all incriminating evidence out of sight. Both me and S have our doors open because we were about to check under the hood so the cops saunter up and start speaking to both of us, just wondering how things are going basically, one of them is shining his light into the car and looking around but not going inside or asking to. We're kinda wary but basically being respectful and after a couple minutes and some running of our info they tell us we're free to leave.
Turns out the county buildings had had some computers stolen the night before, but since we obviously didn't have any of those they told us to just move on and have a pleasant night.
We get back into the car thinking we're scott free when the car won't start. Another aspect of S's car that we had forgotten about. So we all pile out to push start the damn thing, completely baked, while these cops are just staring at us. S, also sucks with a clutch, or at least, he does when he's high. So, we fail.
Finally, almost out of pity, or maybe just to speed things up, the cops pull alongside, roll down the window and offer to push us with their cruiser. T and I just stand back and watch this cop send S's car flying across the parkinglot, S pops it and the car finally starts. We say thank you, wish them a safe night, and get the hell out of there.
Which just goes to show that if you keep your head straight, and are decently respectful, cops aren't the worst people.
