World opinion is against the U.S. escalation in Iraq. The American people are against it. The Congress is against it. The Iraqi people are against it.
The Iraqi government is against it.
Can a single 'man" force a nation to fight a war it does not want to fight, expand a war it does not want to expand ? If he can, is that nation any longer a democracy in any meaningful sense ?
Didnt Saddam think he could do what he wanted too regardless of world opinion? And wasnt it the USA who said......"the world has spoken?" before we invavded, set up a puppet government, and occupied a foreign nation?
It seems as though bush has taken the same path as hitler, saddam and others, in the sense that t(he)y thought t(he)y could do what they wanted without concern for the rest of the worlds opinion or permission.

Very sad and pretty true. The real problem is that about half of the country was behind the idea of the war. You know why? Bush was preying on peoples fear of terrorists and made people feel like the war would prevent another 9/11. Now people are realizing that he was full of it, and no one seems to be happy with the administration at the moment. I hope it's one of those history lessons that we can learn from now and not 30 years from now in a history book.
-
is it democracy when.....
Now, they are realizing bush was lying?
I could have told you he was lying from the start..
When will people learn, I have no patience for this.

I think the creepiest thing about bush is bohemian grove and skull and bones shit makes you wonder lol

Once again alot of blah, blah, blah with NO supporting facts.
The Iraqi people and government would like us out sooner than later but also realize that at this point, it would result in complete meltdown of the country. Congress realizes this also.........If you would have watched the state of the union speach both sides stood and applauded when it was stated that this war MUST be won.
So you consider 12 million people out of 18 milliion going out to vote, risking their lives in the process a puppet government? UNREAL!
By the way daima.......this is political and I think you just may be intelligent enough to have figured that out. In the future when you decide to post this type of agenda in the lounge it will be deleted. There is a reason why we have 40 different forums with over 70 different sub-forums.

Bush: 'I'm the decision-maker' in Iraq troops
Bush is supposed to be a puppet for and by the people. When he chooses to not listen to the majority, he destroys the true sense of democracy. The man needs to stop cherry picking what laws, national and/or international, he wants to follow. Bush and Amadidajad(sp) have both shown they will not listen to there own governments.
What will it take to get this man to listen to us if congress keeps passing laws without teeth? Riots like they had recently in France?

an agenda?
lmao
yeah, what an aweful agenda to have , eh, peace? lmao
80% of iraqis dont want us there (fox news, cnn, msnbc, bbc, iraqi news, report)
the usa congress now opposes it.
many republican now oppose it
the world opposes it.
How did this become "my agenda"?
does p4b feel cornered so he lashes out with threats of censorship because of a pretty basic question he doesnt like?
I will tell you this...
for a person who has to hide smoking a plant from a government he has a crush on, you seem silly in your remarks and suggestions.
What is it in my post that outrages you to the point you threaten to ease it?
you keep that up and the only people you will find in the forum are those who are willing to kiss your ass, and that doesnt look like many.
Now go inflate your gw blow up doll and release some of that stress.
whisper in its ear, i love you". That should make you both feel special.;)

Did I sound like I was debating politics? I was doing my job in here moderating....this issue has been covered in the past and political posts belong in here for a couple reasons. Number one.....like I stated, we have over 40 forums and over 70 sub-forums for a reason. Number two, there is "special" rules that apply in this forum concerning personal attacks that aren't allowed in other forums. If you can't live with the rules it WILL be dealt with.
I debate politics, NOT moderating. If you don't like what you see, choose option "B".
Also, throw another insult regarding this and you'll find out just how much I can censor. THIS IS NOT UP FOR DEBATE!!!

OT sorry, but..
While I understand the personal attacks part of the rules. Diama's comments really didn't seem any worse then what Bong30 has been doing in almost all his replies. Can I not say that "Dumb lib" is a personal insult? And you yourself have said "If you can't take the heat, get out of the politics forum."

P4B is pure entertainment! I love him cause he demonstrates what we are up against as patriots.
I do agree, don't let things get personal. I would still smoke up with P4B after I school him. :)

THIS is the reason why politics stays here. There was a vote in here a while back asking members if they wanted to have the same guidelines as the other forums. The polls stated no, that due to the nature of politics that we/politics should have a bit more slack. OTHER FORUMS such as the lounge does not hold to this flaming rule and MOST of the comments in here would result in a 7 day vacation.
Like it or not........thats how it is. Now if someone in here would like to open a new poll asking is we SHOULD follow the same guidelines I'd be more than happy to go along with the result. I really don't think that MOST of the posters in politics would enjoy going by the same guidelines.
ALSO, it has been very well stated that when ANY mod is in this forum debating politics their ass is up for grabs like anyone elses. If we are in here MODERATING it is a completely different story.

and now, back to the topic......
Bush's crusade has not worked out well for him. He thought the overthrow of the Saddam would be easy and that he would be a hero of the world.
Reality is......he fucked up huge.
He has lied and bamboozled the American people and the world for that matter.
His war on Terror has been a joke. The strategies for fighting this war have been wrong from the beginning and now he is in the middle of a shit sandwich with no easy way out.
George Bush has created more terrorists than Osama Bin Laden ever did.

seems to me that a good monitor would of seen that one of their precious members made a mistake and put a post where it might not should of been and politely moved it where it should be and not threaten the post with censorship because you have a different political view of person who made mistake.
You seem to think its fine and dany to insult people just as long as your passive agressive with it, just because they feel different than you do.
I guess that im guilty of being more direct.
I had also noticed that in a post a while back that this person gets in trouble with the law and your suggestion was for him to "just cooperate with them(the cops)" after the person was pulled over, which was your right to your own opinion. I would never want to deny you of your opinion, or your feelings. They are yours. No one else can tell you how you feel.
But..........it seems to me that a person who is a monitor in a cannabis chat room would be advocating that if any of their members, or friends of their members ever get caught that you should NEVER coooperate with them, and that you shoule NEVER give up your rights.
If i were your boss and this was my chat room, i'd be asking you just who's side you are really on? and then i would question your ability to monitor this cannabis chat room in a fashion that represents the freedom we all seek to enjoy, and not just those you apporve of.
I do hope that you have a very nice day. My letter is out of concern, not out to cause your harm.

Unbelievably scary. It's bad enough when you have an intelligent person in control, Bush is terrifying. BTW Did you guys watch the Devil incarnate during the speech, Cheney was staring at the Camera with a "fuck you" look that pretty much says it all. They could have shitcan'd the speech and just let Cheney stare at the Camera for a half hour, that was one scary son-of-a-bitch. You knew he was saying, fuck all you assholes, we're doing it my way!
