I was telling my friend that he's not a normal high because he runs around jumping up and down and gigling with his hands all over the place for 10 straight minutes (basically until I tell him to calm the fuck down). He tells me "Yeah, that's normal"
So I come to ask. Is that fucking normal? I think it's fucking pathetic and childish and is not how people typically act when high.
Your friend might just be hyper. Just tell him to calm down and stop acting like an idiot.

Yes, beginner. And annoying when high too. Not for any other reasons but this. Otherwise he's just fine.
Just give him a little time I guess...a lot of things take getting use to...especially drugs/substances LOL.

There is no normal way to act when you're high. Everyone reacts a bit differently. Truth be told, I actually get really energized after a few fat bong rips .I just get this strange rush of energy for about...2 minutes. Then I sit down, put on some music, and chill the fuck out. But for 2 or 3 minutes I feel quite energized. Which is sort of strange, since I'm generally smoking pretty Indica-dominant herbs.
Anyway, this still happens to me, even after smoking heavily every day for the past 8 or 9 months. Your friend being a beginner, well, he probably just has a more serious energetic reaction. Also, since he's a new smoker, he might not know exactly what to expect when stoned, and he might be tricking himself into thinking he's all crazy and hyper.
Sounds like he's just having some fun to me. Nothing wrong with that, right? I mean he's not trying to be annoying. Isn't pot supposed to make you crazy?

I was like that, I grew out of it. For me it took a few months, but I've seen it go away in newbs after a week or so.... it all depends. Everyone is different, everyone reacts differently to cannabis. Eventually though, we all just mellow out. Then we wish those "super-fucked highs" would come back.
I know people now like that, and to tell you the truth, I just avoid blazing with them tell they can handle it better.
I was like that as a first timer, I would fucking trip out (not literally) and start singing and just talking bullshit and laughing at anything... shit happens, I wish I could do it again except it's annoying when you're in a mellow mood.. When I get to smoke again (been clean 110 days, have 120 days or so left) I will probably go nuts again like my first time and I can't wait

Uh, if he's a newbie and you're smoking some high quality stuff, this could very well be normal. Especially with a high concentration of THC with lower amounts of CBN. I'd just try and talk it over with them when they're sober, explain what they're doing and that they need to learn to remain somewhat calmer (I still let myself get talkative when stoned). Unless they're retarded they'll figure it out.
