Do you think these girls are ready to be put under a 1000 watt MH bulb?
I am afraid they will get cooked.
I appreciate your help and I promise to help otheres as I learn more.

sure, but it all depends on how close you put them... maybe a waste of light right now though
Putting those two small plants under a 1000 watter is overkill at this point. You can do it if you keep the light far enough away, but a lot of wasted energy. I would keep them under flourescents till they get to be at least 12 inches tall.
sure w/ the light far enuf away from em along with about a dozen more just like em .

Will this work?
I would love to leave them under flourescents more, but I don't want to waste too much time. And, I don't want to pay that much on electricity.
Could I go from flourescents to the flowering stage under the big lights. Say maybe 2 or 3 more weeks?
It does seem like a waste of light.
Thank you so much for responding to my post.
I will be around.

Sure, though one of the fluor experts will help more with the best wattage. A 250W metal halide would be perfect for one month of veg. 1000W for flowering just two girls is overkill too, you'd do excellently with a 400W HPS lamp.
If you're going to use 1000W for flowering, you might as well have ten plants since the electricity bill is going to be the same either way.

HI RAH..
nice posse you got!
YES.... start at 24 inches and every day move the light closer.. watch leaves carefully and make sure you have a fan!!
and turn the fan on too
and if you are going to be using HID you will need bigger pots that can hold more SOIL/MOisture for your plants (at least 1-3 gallons)..
a 1000watt HID can dry your shit out faster than your ladies poon after she finds out that you done did her SISTER....

Hi,
I just got a new shipment of seeds and can plant more.
Does this make sense: I am wondering if I should top the two plants I have to slow them down, and wait for some new seeds to catch-up. Then I could flower them at the same time. Then I would not waist so much electricity.
Thanks for the help so far.

Makes sense, not a strange thought at all. Though They probably want to reach 4-6 nodes first.
I agree
:)
Hi everyone,
It has been abjout 22 days since I took the first pics posted here. I really do appreciate your feedback. This is still my first grow and today I am planning to transplant them into a four gallon pot and put them under my 1000 MH light.
Do you think they are ready now?
My newly planted seeds seem too small to put under the intense light so I am going to waste light and try to get something to smoke.
Another question: Is it better to heat with a heating pad, or should I try to heat the room. The room is in my garage and subject to low temps in the 30's. The room is about 5'X4' and 9' high.
I included a couple pics of my florescent set up for seedlings, just for the heck of it.
I hope someone is still around to read this.
I do appreciate your comments.

Hey RAH
yes you can put them under a 1000 watt MH... just make sure you have a fan blowing the heat up and away from your plants..
start with the light at about 30 inches and move it 1-4 inches closer everyday until it is as close as possible withot burning your plants
interesting rig you have
i would like to see a bigger picture of that contraption
I put my under an HID prior to you (developement wise) and had no problems at all. I did put the lamp real high up at first as others have said, and slowly brought it down. Just check on them a few times daily. Of course, I did waste a bunch of power, and you would be too with just two ladies under there - good luck!
