Taking a break for as long as needed...

Ok, things aren't just going good in my life. Everything just seems like it's closing in and I really feel like I could just die any second. I've been smokin marijuana for the past 2 months or so everyday. I am now starting to feel like I'm losing my mind. My brain is operating in another way that I have never felt before. I almost feel perminantely fried. Just dumb and lost. The more I review in my mind the life that I am living now the more I can see my self fitting right in with the characters of Requiem for a Dream. I mean, it almost seems pointless to live anymore. Now I have realized where my mind was when I began this and now I see where it is now. I can't feel like this any longer.

My mom and dad told me all the time that my family is all I have, and it's true now, I finally see what they are saying. As much as I felt bad about everyone in my family in the past for the first time I really miss them and I don't want to lose them. My grandmother hasn't been doing well lately and I can only hope she gets better. If the worst happens I don't know what will take place. It just feels like everyone I know is slowly fading away and I really don't know what to do. I'm actually crying over here.

I plan on selling all the weed I have and I really want to just take the little bit of money I have and catching a bus and going some where to just release. I have finally come to the conclusion that a very bad period in your life and marijuana just does not mix. I hope you all can forgive me, I will still be hanging around here and keeping in touch but I have to stay out of touch with marijuana for as long as I have to until I can really CLEARLY and not just convincing my self that I am sane.

Cannabis is not an escape from any problems you may have in life.

And understanding that is an important step towards helping yourself

I'm sorry to hear about your bad times brother. Life is really strange, sometimes you're up and pulling ahead, and others you're down and falling behind. I can understand how you're feeling because i've felt that way too. I have been smoking everyday now for damn near 2 1/2 solid years and I definately know exactly what your talking about when you say that you're feeling lost and life is pointless.
Recently i tried cutting down to only smoking at night time. This helped me deal with life during the day and have something to look forward to at night (nothing like smokin a joint). This was a good way for me to not always be high and trying to deal with real life.
If you feel like quitting is a good idea then that is the best idea for you.
Remember at the end of the day, the only thing that makes the difference in you're life is if you're happy or not.

Thank you all, I'm trying to do the best that I can. I just feel so lost right now though. I'm still having faith that it will get better but I just can't at all how.

Man, I know how you feel about one thing. I've been smoking every day also for 2 months and I am so fried beyond belief. I can't even go out tonight because im just too burnt and tired. I'm going to smoke this last bowl and then cut down on the every day smoking.

Im my happy usual self when I only toke when I really have the time for it and nothing I should be doing. Weed is an escape for about twenty minutes tops then as you burnout you feel far shittier and stupider.

I took a 6 day break from smoking everyday for, let's just say a lengthy period. After those 6 days I really appreciated cannabis again and life a lot more. Exercise has also helped me quite a bit. You'd be suprised how much push ups and sit ups can help. Obviously my situation isn't as bad as yours, I don't even know what's wrong with you to be honest. Take all the time you need, no one will hold it against you. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger ;)

orangeman, i'm really sorry to hear that. sometimes it's really scary when it feels like your thoughts aren't your own.
And when smoking a J is something that can usually relax you and make you feel good changes to making you feel crazy, it's horrible.

Good luck with everything, feeling lost is one of the worst feelings someone can have. Call your Grandma and tell her you love her. Mine died this weekend and I wish I had called her one last time just to tell her that. I hope things work out for you man.

Well things have gotten a bit better. I think I was just doing too much. I need to slow down and just allow things to happen and stop thinking about so much negativity. I'm glad I recovered just a bit. I'm trying to stay sober until Friday. Wish me luck :p.

I feel the same way you do, i think im going to keep the weed i have left, and just stop for aa month. Most of my problems, are caused by ppl whom just want to fuck with me because i have no ability to take action. I think il quit for a month , and start again but only keep it to a limit of 2 times a week. I hope it can fix me.

dude, i got the same shi goin on here and the only way to deal with it iis moderation. just smoke a bowl here and there and maybe even a blunt or two on thee weekends. yourhead will be clearer. hang in thur.

Go into full detox, sleep in, wake up and go lift some weights, pushups, take a jog what have you, eat you're favorite food, go on a date. You'll be straight in a week I hate when I used to wake up needing to drink to get normal again uck nothing but bong smoking
