time to stop being a stoner...

I'm not saying its bad to smoke weed, but it definately is not good to be stoned 24/7.

I think i was just smoking weed way to much. Like at least 4 times a day. morning, lunch, afternoon, before shower. that was just the basics. there was always a couple extra sesions. I could honestly say i was stoned for a majority of the past year. its had its side effects. horrible short term memory lol. lack of motivation. whaetevr im not here to critizice cannibis.

im trying to stop being so dependant on it. im gonna TRYY and limit my self to smoking on weekends only. any advice to copee? lol

Locks. Lock your bong/papers/w/e in the closet. Put your weed in something, lock THAT, then put THAT in the closet. Each lock is one more oppurtunity for you to realize that you're being a lazy bum and that you're trying to quit. Trust me on this one.
Write it on your hand. Schedule some time for when you DO want to smoke, and look forward to that day.
A big prob is boredom. Find things you like to do. Books, sex, drinking, meditating, excersize, WHATEVER< just keep yourself busy. If you're like me, the first two weeks will be a boring dreary hell. Just get your mind off it.

I was like that for a while. But that was because I was bored and didn't have much to do. I still buy, but its more of a treat now rather than a habit.

Keep yourself busy. If your too busy doing something it will stop you from thinking of getting high, but if you're at home, bored as hell, nothin' on TV, all you're gonna think about it gettin' high.

start playing World of Warcraft. That shit will suck up your entire life!!!

Dont smoke before the shower, thats shit will kill you.

if im tryin to limit my smoking i put my grass in 6 or 7 bags and tie them really tight. by the time i get them all untied its actually smoke-thirty

im so good at functioning high. enough experience, all school year from the teachers and pricipals, every day at home wit my parents. almost every activity i do i do stoned.

its not a good thing tho, i feel addicted and its taking a lot of $$.

well then just use the money for other things that you want/need it for and buy with whatever you have left or in other words MAKE A BUDGET YOU LAZY BUM!

but yeah some reason i feel like at least doing something mentally intriguing when high and a lot of times physical stuff is fun

Oh yeah definately.

sort of know where you are coming from in the same position myself. Will never completely give up though will always toke up now and then.

I definitely agree it is not good to be stoned all day like that. I can't imagine how high your tolerance must be and how much you must need to smoke to keep a buzz going. If you're high that often, do you even really feel it anymore? I limit my smoking to late evening (10 PM) only. Sometimes daily, othertimes I go a few days without it. Sunday is the only exception.

Anyway, my advice if you want to slow down: Get rid of all of your weed. It's very easy to take your mind off it if it isn't there. If you only want to smoke on the weekends, just buy a few grams every friday, and smoke it all by Sunday. I'd also go a few weeks without smoking at all to drop your tolerance a little bit.

heres what to do, instead of only smokin enough to get you sorta high and having 1 bag last a week, wait till the weekend, buy a bag and smoke it all by sunday night. dont buy during the week, simple as that.

youll get higher than youve been, your tolerance will be lower, and you wont be high 24/7

my tolerance is pretty high right now man. A good .5 will get me high but its not as high as i used to be able to get.
