Mental help needed.

(Heads up) This is gonna be a long thread.. so If you don't wan't to read some fucked up shit thats going in my life I suggest you go back now.

Well first before I get started I'd like to share a few things with you, so that you can understand me some what, and be in my shoes mentaly...

I'm 16 male, I live In Virginia I live with my grandma In a trailer we don't have much, I find myself without money and friends all I have thats worth telling is my computer, I love to high, I don't care what I have to do to reach it, It helps me get by without all the stress I embrace mentally, I was introduced to weed from a close friend, that dosen't chill with me anymore, I used to go out and get high with alot people, but now I have no one. No one comes around, It's like they don't think I exsist anymore.

I'm so addicted to getting high, but I have no money therefore, no high for me, so about the first of august(the mouth currently) I stole 3 loratab blue 10's from my grandma's pill bottle, she noticed and I was accused so I called a my friend that introduced me to weed, and told him I have so pills and asked If he wanted to do them with me.. He said sure so later that nigh we smoked like 2 bowl packs and did the pills. The next morning my grandma called my mom and she arranged a drug test for me today.. a piss test, so I know I failed it.. She said If theres anything In my drug test that I'm going to rehad and counciling, I told her that there is nothing you can do to make me go.. so she left back to her house.. shes called the cops on me before and has threatened to send me to Juvi, so it's hard to tell what shes going to do..

I know that I'm not straight in my head.. along with not having many friends and the fact that my father is serving 7 years in prison for drugs.. and past charges.. we live off welfere.. and schools starting up soon so I get picked on for not wearing the best of clothing and not having a car of anything.. I guess I'm depressed also.. but I don't wan't help, and I've told myself and everyone around me my mom family.. that I wan't change.. through boot camp or rehab or even Juvi.

I just want to live my life, I'm tired of all the walls trying to force me into living the way your suppose to, me and god knows theres no other way for me to live. I want to live the thug life, selling drugs doing them and living the bad side of life.

The stress of life has made me this way, theres nothing that can change that, the government caused this when they took my father away and left him a stanger to me everyday, now that hes not here we struggle to survive so I say the government hurt thereself when they did that, they may off removed one threat to there life, but they also caused another.. I'm gonna live the life crime and drugs. and no one can change that, my mom asked me will I ever change, I said yea but it's clear that I'll always be the same until my dieing days..

So many thoughts are going throught my head and so much emotion stress, you guys here at on the boards are all the support I can get at the moment.. what do you suggest I do.. and advice support at all will be appreciated.

well im sorry man, for all your bad luck, it sounds like the outsiders (for those who know the book) anyways, do what i did. go to winn-dixie and get a job (i did at 14) work hard and run like hell......i hope this helps

ps. dont sell drugs to "survive" , i went to jail at 16 for that also

If your that addictied go to rehab. If I ever need weed to fell normal or to get by I would admit myself.

After your out try getting on yuor feet and staying clean for a while.

Well you are old enough to get a job, you should try to find one that doesn't require a car.

your gonna have to get a standard job if you go down a bad route or a good route cause you need some money to start off with, so i say get a job asap.
then maybe meet some people that are more down to earth in school than the ones that rip you about clothing and just keep in mind how stupid they actually are for doing that, societies real retards. maybe get some weed seed of people you meet in school? take it from there good luck

I started working at 15 now im 16 got my car and am going to college. Start small and work your way up find what your good at and exploit it.

Instead of worrying about finding some weed, I'd try to find some friends. And I'm not being mean or sarcastic, I'm being entirely serious. I know what it feels like to be alone, believe me. A lot of people do. But it's good for the soul to have a mate or someone to talk to and enjoy life with and to help you through.

We all have our problems but turning to weed doesn't solve them, and it sounds like you got a lot of problems bud. I'd focus more on working those out before creating more through the "drug life."

as far as a car,yeah i get made fun of for riding a bike everywhere but i alos am probably in better shape than them/waste less money on gas/"save the planet"
clothes have two reasons, warmth, decency. don't break those and you are wearing the right clothes.
there are people anywhere who will be the way you don't want them to be, try instead to be around more and more people who are the way you want to be

I've been through what your going through and I'm sure many other people have too. Personally, I think you need to stop smoking reefer for a while. A long break is a good thing. The first few days will be boring as shit but eventually you won't even think of weed. If you need it so badly to resort to crime and stealing pills than its not working for you right now. Adolesence is a piece of cake for some but for others like me and you its a living hell. But you have to ask yourself one question: Where do you want to be ten years down the road?

i totally agree with this. i've been through plenty of crap in my adolescence, but i've managed to get through it with the help of my friends, and some ganja on the side.but i recently lost my job so i decided to quit smoking till i get a new job. if you have to resort to stealing, i say its time to go to rehab.

My grandma *did* put me in juvie, and she never got custody back. I was deemed 'incorrigible'. In other words, I didn't obey my grandma, just pretty much did what I wanted. I remember one night I told her I'd be back at 3 AM or so. She said she hadn't approved that, and I replied, "I wasn't *asking*." I was a little prick.

So I went into juvie at 16, and from there to a foster family (who were really quite nice). They threatened to keep me in the juvenile court system until I turned 21 (which they can do, btw). I countered by proposing that I join the Army, which they found acceptable, and I joined the Army at 17 (although I was close to 18).

Don't be such a whiny pussy. Blaming your life on the fact that your father isn't around, that's just BS. Be a man, take responsibility for your own life. My father left when I was 5 (not prison, just bailed on us), my mother died when I was 12 and almost took me with her. I went to 18 different schools by the age of 12, at least. We were poor, foodstamps, welfare, shitty clothes, bad food and often no food, all that jazz. So what? Life is about overcoming obstacles, or being crushed by them. If you don't want to be crushed by them, you better start making a plan to overcome them. Here's a tip: smoking pot won't help you overcome the obstacles life has thrown at you. Get your shit together, *then* smoke pot.

I asked for help, I'm not being a little bitch. I never cried throught any of this, I just explained my life style, and wanted other opinions to see what I should do.

Guys chill. There's a lot of bs on the internet, but when I read this kid's story I honestly felt bad for him. I've had a rough life, I'm sure most of us have at one point. Jamstigator not everyone can just up and overcome their "obstacles" in life. That is extremely ignorant to say the least. Some people need a little more help than others. It really irks me when I hear people say "oh, well they should have gone to college and bettered themselves, the only reason for their failures is themselves." Now I know a college degree isn't everything, but that's what I hear a lot and was just using it as an example. That's a complete load of ignorant bs. Some people in life who deserve lots don't get much, and those who don't deserve anything get everything. C'est la vie.

I don't know why more people don't do this! Its a simple and very effective way to deal with your problems, especially ones like these!

If you don't have enough money to go to therapy (because it can be expensive) then go to rehab.. its good for you.

OK, a little reality check...

You have a problem. If you are addicted to being high and will do whatever to achieve that high, you have a problem and need to seriously get some help.

Along those lines, you are 16; be sure that in fact your grandmother can have you legally committed to a rehab and/or to a juvenile facility w/o your input. Unless you are legally emancipated, whoever has legal guardian status over you can essentially 'sign you away'. They can ask them to keep you till you're 18. Then on yout 18th birthday, you get $20, some ill-fitting clothes, and a bus ticket to somewhere.

Next, you think you want to live the 'thug' life. If you're stressed now, what do you think your life is going to be like afterwards? Are you prepared for people to be friendly towards you only because you can get them something? Are you ready to watch over your shoulder every day? Are you willing to risk getting busted, getting a felony, and fucking your life over? Have you ever been shot? Stabbed? Stabbed with an ice pick? Slashed with a box cutter? Had someone sick 2 pitbulls on you? SHot someone? Do you like not having a steady source of reliable income? Have you ever attempted to outrun the cops? Have you ever been in jail? You really need to think about because, Sonny Boy, I don't think you really understand what you'd be getting into? You feel like no one think you exist now? What happens when you catch 2 in the back of the head by a crackhead that dumps your body in the woods? You really won't exist then...

Look man, nothing you're going through is new. I've been through shit that'll make your head spin. But with that comes learning. You still have alot of learning to do. If you seriously want to better your situation, you need to seek help for the drug problem, stay focused in school. and volunteer your time. If you do that, I guarantee good things will come your way....in time. Greatness doesn't happen overnight, it must be achieved.

okay Im looking for a job.. and Im going to lay off weed for awhile, save up my money and buy a car, but I do like to get high down the line when I have a steady income for my age I'll buy some here and there.
