Theres this girl im thinkin about asking out except.......

.....she has a boyfriend, not that that means anything though. I mean it doesnt seem like they are serious. I talk to this girl on the phone, hung out with her a few times, and she has only mentioned that she has a boyfriend once but didnt really say anything about him except (my boyfriend was from afghanistan, and she was joking). It seems like we have a lot of fun when we are around eachother and always make eachother laugh. The only thing is, i dont wanna ask her out and have her say no because I work with this girl. It would probably tear me up inside knowing that im going to see her all of the time, and cant be anything but friends.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Id like some girls' advice on this also because i dont know what to do.

maybe u should try to ask her out and but let her know that there will be a few of u "hunging out" if u have other peeps around its more comfortable for u both if her feelings arent any more then friendship feelings , but watch how she acts with u if she likes u she will be tryin to find ways to show it to u( for some reason most gurls have a hard time tellin u stright out) so look for those flirty lil signs. If things go well, then u should just come stright out and ask her out just the two of u.

Good advice Ammie! Be careful though Teknodppr. It sounds like you like this girl a lot from your post. You may want to get some friend to help judge the situation for you. When you like a girl sometimes it is hard to tell what is just friendly stuff and what is actual flirting. Also just because a girl flirts doesn't mean she is looking for anything. I know plenty of girls with serious boyfriends that still flirt a lot. A lot of guys read girls wrong and get the wrong message from a girl. Just a word of caution really. Try not to get into this girl too much, I mean it would be great if you hooked up with her, but what if you don't? It's not the end of the world and there are cool, attractive women everywhere. Don't make it such a big deal about her and you won't be too upset if nothing happens. I'm not trying to be negative, just trying to give some helpful advice. Good luck though! :)

I know what its like to like a girl too much, and then find out she doesnt feel the same way you do. I found out the hard way. I guess you could say that im kinda a sensitive guy, i dont really like that idea too much because I tend to get hurt easy. So ive been trying to avoid a situation like that again. I'm not in love with her or anything, but she is really cool. Im actually kinda pissed off at myself because I wish i didnt feel like i do. I mean this has happened before a few times and it always ended with me feeling dpressed for like 2-3 weeks.

To the one with braces, I know how you feel. Don't date anyone with braces cuz those things suck when they hook with each other. Also, it feels really cool to bring your tongue across straight and perfect teeth... you'll see... and make sure your wisdoms get pulled cuz those things screw up everything.

Anyway, to give my input on the subject at hand, I'd say if you work with the girl, it might not be a good idea unless you don't see yourself working there in the near future... but if you're gonna do it no matter what, here's my advice:
Just do it. There's only one lifetime ahead of you and opportunities come and go. Don't let your insecurities get in the way of an awesome possibility that could be your reality if you go for it. Why live a life of "what if?"
As to what to say... it doesn't really matter, in my opinion. I got set up on a blind date with my husband now (unbeknownst to me it was a blind date) and all he said was "Do you have a boyfriend? Coooooool!" Take a deep breath before you do it cuz oxygen deprivation makes people sound and look stupid with the whole brainfart to fainting deal.

Yeah, it sucks being nervous like that. Like Nifty said, just ask her out. You will never know unless you do. Tell her the truth and that you have been too nervous to ask her out. Hopefully she'll be like "awww" and then pull your pants down right there. ;)

I am goin to homecoming with this girl that i like a lot. She broke up with her boyfriend of 6 months cuz he was goin to college. She still loves him but wants to get over him, and she also likes me. But she doesnt want to have a relationship right now. Now on saturday she wanted to kiss, but i told her i couldnt do it cuz last time we kissed i liked her soooooo much and everything was awesome but she didnt want a relationship. She just wants me to like her but not go out. I think thats gay, and i refuse to kiss her everytime shes feeling lonely, becuz that hurts me a lot. So i dont know what i should do. when i talked to her, she said she liked me a lot and wanted to be with me but if we went out, everyone would hate her and stuff and she couldnt deal with that. You know what, im so high and i just figured out a perfect solution to see if she is interested or not.
Heres how it goes:
The next time we hang out, ill have us come to my house and watch a movie or somethin. Then during the movie, ill do something small like rest my hand on her leg, or put my arm around her and see what she does. If she doesnt want to be anything but friends, then she won't want me to do that and will more than likely say something. Everytime i have tried this with a girl, they usually let me know they like it by making a move torward me, or of course slapping me in the face. lol
How do you think it sounds?

Didnt read everyones post. It is sooooo easy to tell if a girl likes you. You know if she likes you or not. You just gotta make the move.

There's only a couple of life lessons that I've actually grasped a hold on in my life. One from this situation. I was dating a girl for about 6 months. The most amazing click I've ever experianced. My emotions are pretty much dulled to the furthest extent by this point. I didn't experiance "love" for years previous. We talked about being married and such. So I asked her. She even said yes. (lemme know if you wanna know the way I asked her) The way home that night in the car she tells me that she's been with this one guy for over a year and is still seeing him. But she would be willing to break it off so we could go through with it. After 3 months, she didn't break up with him. When I made the ultimadum she chose him. Crushed. I have 2 emotions now. Happy and angry. Be careful dude. Chicks with guys are not predictable no matter how you feel. If she does accept going out with you... do you really want a girl that would see someone else while you are with her. Or even that would cheat on you. You seem intelligent. Good people love people's brains the most.

As far as opening up the lines for a possible relationship (if I'm totally off my rocker about my previous paragraph). The most natural why of going about things usually leads to the most positive outcomes. Become good friends. Have friend dates. Speak to her on a over the top honest level. Respect her one step about the level you handle yourself. If she doesn't respond. Move on. But stay her friend. Never burn bridges. Good luck!

My advice: GO FOR IT. And if you're worried about getting tore up inside about it, the answer is not to pass up the opportunity. The answer is to tell yourself there are three billion more fish in the sea, and get over being easily hurt. Almost everyone is going to hurt/get hurt a few times in their lives.

Can't be too sensitive in a relationship anyway: there are some things you just have to come to terms with. Maybe a turn-down would help you in getting some more armor on your heart. It'll help you in the long run. :cool:

I agree with you Scarlett. This girl is on the rebound and that in and of itself is dangerous territory. (makes me wonder about her relationship with her daddy but that's another story) MRB041, be her friend, you can't have too many of those and some of my best friends have been women. Even if you never see her again she will never completely forget the guy who DIDN'T take advantage of her when she was down. Don't let her use you (very probably without realizing she is doing it) to kill her pain until her BF comes home for the holidays.
In the long run you will have a lot more respect for yourself in particular and women in general.
