Theres this girl im thinkin about asking out except.......

.....she has a boyfriend, not that that means anything though. I mean it doesnt seem like they are serious. I talk to this girl on the phone, hung out with her a few times, and she has only mentioned that she has a boyfriend once but didnt really say anything about him except (my boyfriend was from afghanistan, and she was joking). It seems like we have a lot of fun when we are around eachother and always make eachother laugh. The only thing is, i dont wanna ask her out and have her say no because I work with this girl. It would probably tear me up inside knowing that im going to see her all of the time, and cant be anything but friends.

Has anyone else been in this situation? Id like some girls' advice on this also because i dont know what to do.

maybe u should try to ask her out and but let her know that there will be a few of u "hunging out" if u have other peeps around its more comfortable for u both if her feelings arent any more then friendship feelings , but watch how she acts with u if she likes u she will be tryin to find ways to show it to u( for some reason most gurls have a hard time tellin u stright out) so look for those flirty lil signs. If things go well, then u should just come stright out and ask her out just the two of u.

Good advice Ammie! Be careful though Teknodppr. It sounds like you like this girl a lot from your post. You may want to get some friend to help judge the situation for you. When you like a girl sometimes it is hard to tell what is just friendly stuff and what is actual flirting. Also just because a girl flirts doesn't mean she is looking for anything. I know plenty of girls with serious boyfriends that still flirt a lot. A lot of guys read girls wrong and get the wrong message from a girl. Just a word of caution really. Try not to get into this girl too much, I mean it would be great if you hooked up with her, but what if you don't? It's not the end of the world and there are cool, attractive women everywhere. Don't make it such a big deal about her and you won't be too upset if nothing happens. I'm not trying to be negative, just trying to give some helpful advice. Good luck though!

I know what its like to like a girl too much, and then find out she doesnt feel the same way you do. I found out the hard way. I guess you could say that im kinda a sensitive guy, i dont really like that idea too much because I tend to get hurt easy. So ive been trying to avoid a situation like that again. I'm not in love with her or anything, but she is really cool. Im actually kinda pissed off at myself because I wish i didnt feel like i do. I mean this has happened before a few times and it always ended with me feeling dpressed for like 2-3 weeks.

me and her were just friends, and she skated and we smoked alot together, she is perfect for me, im like in love with her, what you should do is tell her your feelings OR just plain ask her out, but you might get shut down with a no - just do what you think is right, it will all be good in the end

To the one with braces, I know how you feel. Don't date anyone with braces cuz those things suck when they hook with each other. Also, it feels really cool to bring your tongue across straight and perfect teeth... you'll see... and make sure your wisdoms get pulled cuz those things screw up everything.

Anyway, to give my input on the subject at hand, I'd say if you work with the girl, it might not be a good idea unless you don't see yourself working there in the near future... but if you're gonna do it no matter what, here's my advice:
Just do it. There's only one lifetime ahead of you and opportunities come and go. Don't let your insecurities get in the way of an awesome possibility that could be your reality if you go for it. Why live a life of "what if?"
As to what to say... it doesn't really matter, in my opinion. I got set up on a blind date with my husband now (unbeknownst to me it was a blind date) and all he said was "Do you have a boyfriend? Coooooool!" Take a deep breath before you do it cuz oxygen deprivation makes people sound and look stupid with the whole brainfart to fainting deal.

Yeah, it sucks being nervous like that. Like Nifty said, just ask her out. You will never know unless you do. Tell her the truth and that you have been too nervous to ask her out. Hopefully she'll be like "awww" and then pull your pants down right there.
