Did I get ripped???

So I have this friend I've known for along time and he recently started dealing. His prices are a bit high, but then agian I live in a rich white suburb of chicago where prices are high and weed is not as common as most places. The last 1/4 I got from his was good shit, and I think it measured up, looked like a good solid 1/4, scaled it on HIS scale and it weighed out.

This time however, I wanted to buy a half oz. of this nice bud he has, red hairs and all. High mids probably, fairly dank shit. The prices was 150 dollars (expensive I know, but thats a good price for a good half arround here).

My problem however is that it looks REALLY fucking small for a half. If you lined the bottom of a normal ziplock bag about an inch high, and about half an inch deep, thats how big it is. few seeds, few stems, but it seems really compact, hard as shit nugs (a bit old but still GREAT smoking), and sticky as shit.

I measured it on his scale, and its says 14.4 grams, but I honestly am not sure if he messed with the calibration of his scale or not to make stuff weigh in more, or if he somehow did something to the weed to make it weigh more. Below is a picture of the weed, I wanna know if it looks like good weed, if it looks like 14g's, and if 150 is even to much for where I live.

for a high standard of living area (chicago) you got a normal hook up deal i'd say....not friend-prices though

dosn't look like he skimped me at all? I've NEVER seen bud that compact before, looks really small, but if you say so, thanks

it looks more like a 1/4 than a half O to me

Never heard of The Dam, I'm in a northwest suburb called Northbrook, still in Cook County. But seriously guys, is it possible for a bag of weed that size to weigh in at 14g's?

So, yeah, the price is about right for the area.
Have you thought about cruising down to Evanston beach? Hop on Sheridan Rd or Greenbay rd and head south. You won't get lost. :)

Even if its tight compact bud it still only looks like 9-10 grams to me. The price is a little high for mids.

i have gotten quarters that will fit in 2 dub sacks, and yes i weighed it. It was bomb shit. Lets not forget a gram is a weight not a size.

dude not to sound like a know it all...but i could get that mutch for $20-$25...unless thats kb...maby the pics just messed up but it looks like shwag...witch only cost $25 a half here in atx...but if its kb thats good prices...

Since you have so much spare cash, why not cruise down to a general store or something and buy your own scale? Even though people are saying you got ripped, give your friend the benefit of the doubt and weigh it yourself.

Thanks guys. I found out his scale was good becuase I weighed a nickle on it and it said 5g's (which is EXACTLY what nickle weighs if you look it up www.wikipedia.com is amazing!) It isn't schwag, the resolution of my webcam just blows, i smoked some and its pretty good. I think the person who said "Lets not forget a gram is a weight not a size," said it the best. Thanks for all the input guys. I think I am going to drive up to a headshop now that I have my license and buy a scale of my own just to make sure, and for the future not buy anything that looks like less than it is even if it weighs up

Just one more thing though. Does anyone know if there is any way to make weed weigh more without messing with the scale (cuz that was fine) I heard you can smear a bit of honey on it or something. Merry tokin all, peace:rasta:

theres plenty of ways to make something werigh more.

water being one of those, one time i got a qp of mush and i sold it to this kid but i wanted to quaarter for myself to i watered a little in the baggy, let it absorb, and boom, 7 grams.

and pretty sure evryone an there mother knows a nickle weighs 5 grams....

We get reaaaaaly compressed brick weed out here in Missouri a lot too. Some of it is pretty dank, but none of it is worth 150 a half. I have seen ounces compressed down to smaller than a pack of cigarettes, so that could easily be a half.

yup, thats what the compressed is all about, i got some kid a 2lb brick once and it wasnt even that bag...

Hey dude, for that quality of weed, it should not even be close to $150. I am thinking somewhere around $60. But you know what, if you want bud, you got the cash, fuck it. Smoke that shit and be happy. Honestly, I cant stand that weed. It drags me down and gives me a headache. I guess I have been real spoiled only smoking the chronic.

ok, there is a chance that it could be a full half yes, and of course a gram is a weight, and size has little outcome on the weight (atleast in this instance), but this supposed half looks very gimped, even for compressed as fuck weed, i was making an 'educated guess' when i said he got ripped off, and i still stand behind what i said, i just wanted to address the fact that i could be wrong...

Exactly what i said man it doesnt even look like that bad of a size for a half. And i get hooked up fat cause i go through a fat 18gs a week.

yea i guess so. But out here, in Cali, I usually get my weed for free from my good friends. But out here off people that aren't my good friends I can get a half Ounce (of some high quality shit) for 100$ instead of 150$...

overall you it was a pretty good deal. Especially for you're class and area. :rasta:
