Gov't Mule is constantly playing on my computer. Download "Soulshine" acoustic version that's a good song, but there are so many more.
^^
you really said ace of base??
^
it's better by the allman bro's in my oponion... i'm old school and like Bro's better than Mule... same peopleish... but come on allman brothers are government mule... that's like recomending Ram by Paul and nothing from the Beatles...
you really want good music download Leadbelly, John Lee Hooker, Sonny Terry, Ma Rainey and Billie Holliday
top choice - stormy monday - Allman Brothers copied Bobby Bland who copied T Bone Walker... all three are great...
Soulshine is a great ass song as well
Well if you like Industrial/EBM..
* God Module

Matt Costa's gonna be there as well, first time for him... I've seen Jack before, but Roo last year killed it... too many yuppie girls screaming the whole time... it's like the beatles when you can't hear what they are playing... I almost punched a bitch out cause she wouldn't shut the fuck up...
Any one else gonna be going to Bonnaroo??
Kweller and the Roots... it's gonna be good... Clearchannel did buy it out so there are some shits playing... but hell, i'll be tripping balls and wont care... last years I managed a 17 hour trip... started at 3 in the morning and ended it right after the allman bros... I'm so pissed they aren't going to be there... unless they signed up and I didn't see it on the list... That's why I fucking hate clearchannel... oh well... hope to see some of you guys/gals there...
nahh, I thought about bonn, but it's nothing what it used to be.
I mean, MTV will be there this year.
Not cool.
I'm heading to wakarusa instead.
It's a day longer at 4 days, better line-up (headliners inclue Gov't Mule, Yonder Mountain, The Flaming Lips, Keller, STS9, Hot Buttered Rum, Les Claypool...)
Metal Bands
Epic:
Leaves Eyes - Solemn Sea, Elegy
Nightwish - Nemo, Ghost Love Score
Gothenburg: (A city in Sweden from which the music originated, and a style of it's own)
Dark Tranquillity - Cathode Ray Sunshine, Therin
In Flames - Cloud Connected, The Queiet Place, My Sweet Shadow, Bullet Ride.... too many really, awsome music.
Old School:
Motorhead - No Voices In The Sky, Overkill (AMAZING solo's)
Iron Maiden - Blood Brothers, No More Lies, The Clansman: Live (the album version, sung by their temporary vocalist Blaze Baily, is ruined by his awful vocals).
Black Metal:
Cradle of Filth - Abstinth With Faust, Nimphetamine (fix)
Dimmu Borgir - Progenies of the Great Apocalypse, Blood Hunger Doctrine
Death Metal:
(epic death metal actually) Amon Amarth - Thousand Years of Opression, And Soon The World Will Cease To Be, Across The Rainbow Bridge
Slayer - Entire "God Hates Us All" album (slayer is normally thrash, but this is more death metal).
Thrash Metal:
Slayer - Raining Blood, Angel Of Death, Divine Intervention
Megadeth - Into The Lungs Of Hell, Countdown to Extinction
Melodic/Orchestral/Power Metal:
Rammstein - Mein Herz Brennt (The entire "mutter" album is brilliant)
Industrial Metal:
Rammstein - Engel
There's my suggestions.
If you are into any kind of electronic music, i suggest you check out the website http://www.thedjlist.com/
Great site
right now im listening to Paul Van Dyk, politics of dancing
So many bands ive never heard of
Thrash Metal....WTF :D

I knew it was going to be shitty, but didn't realize MTV was gonna be there...Quote:

Amos Lee was great there as well... it was a small crowd and everyone just laid back and smoked....Mule, Allman and Truck's band were great... That's the band I'm pissed to see not playing at roo... I was kinda happy other people were going to be at roo, but I didn't think Clearchannel has fucked it up that bad this quick, I thought there'd be atleast one more good year out of it... I'm going on thursday so i'll be there for four days.... but this will probably be me last year for it... FUCKING HATE MTV AND CLEARCHANNEL... THEY HAVE SINGLE HANDEDLY KILLED MUSIC!!!
Waka is in Lawrence, Kansas. It's a sweet camp ground with multiple stages. And I just read today that MOE and UMPHREY'S MCGEE will open the pre-party the day before the festival starts! There are soo many good bands here. Tix are only $119 for basic access...that's a steal for 4 days for tripping good fun.Quote:

different weekends... maybe try to hit both of them... we already planned roo, started months ago... but man that's a better line up... I might have to stop by there first and then make my way over to Tenn. Thanks a lot for the info...
I'll let you know if i'm heading that way, I'll be bringing mushrooms if I do go... the best part about fl.... they grow wild and are legal...
Have you been before?? June is a hard month to plan camping... It's either way too hot or way too wet... I'm thinking about getting a bus to go in... I've seen old school busses going for a few grand and wouldn't mind living in one of those for a week or two...
Thanks again...
No problem man, glad to spread the word.Quote:

Yah those buses are nice, but lol, no one around here has one or can afford one, so I believe we have a couple large 3-room tents that should get the job done. I also read that when driving, you can only have 3 to a car since its all designated parking, which kinda sucks.
But yah, let me know if you're gonna be there. I know I will be on the search for some acid as soon as I arrive at the camp.
arre you saying you have never heard of thrash metal??Quote:

Acoustic psychedelic rock at it's finest, especially this album, which calling it a masterpiece is underrating it. A complex concept album about Anne Frank in many perspectives of time, you will realize why Jeff Magnum (brainchild of NMH) has never surfaced again to make music. You have to listen to the entire album once to get completely enthralled in it.
The Artic Monkeys rock!!!
lamb of god-as the palaces burn. what turned me on to these guys is the blistering guitar work. not sloppy or incoherent (sp), just BALLS OUT raging guitar. Evry album is just INSAINE, you just have to get by the vocals. I like death metal, but his vocals are a bit hard to listen to at first, they grow on you.
Testament-first strike still deadly. this album is a reunion of the old 80's thrash masters. alex scholnic (sp) IS GOD! they redo old favorites, and the sound is just incredible.
the almand brother's band-an oldie but a goodie. these guys just rock, any album you get will be good. Real nice bluesy rock great for chilling out after a long day.
