one of my newest band favorites: FISCHERSPOONER
they are raunchy house electronica. great while high or when u feel like shakin' things up.. a good song by them?: sweetness OR emerge (you might recognize 'emerge' i think it was on a car commercial)

my all-time favorite:G. LOVE AND SPECIAL SAUCE
genre:'hip-hop broken down into its blues-funk roots' rock. a few good songs: cold beverage, kiss and tell, slipped away

and one of the first singers/songwriters that I ever bought an album by: SEAL
genre: contemporary house R&B. great songs: get it together, lips like sugar,walk on by
