Well, I have never done that, so I don't know for sure.
My opinion is that nitrogen makes plants grow, unless you give them too much; Then that could cause such an imbalance/toxidity of sorts causing the plant to stop growing. I don't know.
what I prefer, is too flush them and go withfull strength solution for bloom which would include very little amounts of nitrogen. I am currently using a variation of the lucas formula...that has kept the height down, Imho. But the buds/topleaves are awesome, frosty to the tips.
Maybe Z or someone more knowlegable in horticulture, will chime in on this.

I read it...I haven't applied the theory yet...However, I have a couple friends trying to make thier own recipe for retail, and they use beer and whiskey and have related to me that all is 'good'.
If you watch the old gardener on sunday AM's..he is always adding alchohol to growing potion's
I learned something else that goes with this query...If you want to use powder nutrients, for hydro or make an applicable spray...Mix with at least 70% alchohol and then water to make a soluble batch for hydro or foliar feeding/spraying
I have more reading to do about this, but it is said that alchohol does allow the plant to fluorish. be careful, whenever mixing chemical's...THEY COULD BLOW UP!

Adding that flavor of some fine aged Kentucky Burbon to my buds would be a really nice touch. Maybe we could call those strains Turkey101, AAReserve, or whatever........LOL Hell, anything is possible, life is all about trial and error.

Well, how much alcohol should one use for one watering?

I used Harddon's bloom/taste/THC booster mix that included (among other stuff) 1 tspn. of Jack Daniels Whiskey per 2.5 gallons of water, applied for three consecutive feedings. That small of an amount of booze didn't stunt anything.
I'm not really sure I like the possible reasons they list for why the plants are stunted, though:
"Miller isn't sure why the alcohol stunts plant growth but he has three theories that he is exploring.
-Growth is caused when plant cells absorb water and expand. The alcohol could be injuring the plant roots, preventing the roots from absorbing the water as efficiently.
-When alcohol is mixed with the water, the plant has to use more of its growing energy to extract the water from the solution.
-The plant uses its growing energy to rid itself of the alcohol it has absorbed."

One thing I gotta give to 9ski'...He reads, extensively.
For those of you that don't remember Harddon; Mentored 9ski9 extensively, during his 1st trials...I have the other 2 secret ingredient's; He didn't list here...It's a trademark/copywrite thing...In case He can ever get it to market. I don't blame him. It's basically home-garden-mixology.
Mand, I don't think your plants, deserve a drink...All they do is lay around and wait to get fed! Right? LOL
good to hear from you, love.
