Some friends and I recently met this American tourist who we showed around a bit. She was great fun so we all decided to go to a pub early one afternoon. We'd been sitting there for most of the day drinking and generally having a laugh, As we stood up to leave the american girl announced, quite loudly "OH MY GAWD, My fanny is all numb" This was greeted with silence from our group and sniggering from the next table. The poor girl was mistified untill someone explained to her that in Ireland (and the uk), "FANNY" means VAGINA. She was really cute when she blushed+
