Time for a new adventure. Here is some basic information about what I am using/plan.
1) 400w switchable (MH/HPS) lamp.
2) Strains are Hashberry and Mango.
3) Soil grow (pro-mix/ocean forrest).
4) Planned SOG (sea of green - ie: many small clones).
5) Space is a 4' x 4' x 6' closet.
6) Walls are covered in myler (for reflectivness)
7) Floor is plywood painted white (also reflectivness)
8) One tower fan and one small table fan for air circulation and temperature control.
9) One small fan blowing on ballast for lamp (help w/ longevity).
10) All food used will be Fox Farm (see the website) except for some blackstrap mollasses.
11) Water source is tap water (modified CAREFULLY w/ test kit and pH lowered w/ pH down).
12) Containers are Solo plastic cups/2 gal plastic pots (good drainage is important so only type with many holes).
13) Light cycle will be 20/4 veg and 12/12 flower.
I think that is enough for now ;)
A few pics of how I germinated and planted my seeds. It is important not to drench the paper towels. Damp is good enough. Keep them in dark, but not so covered they get no air. Anyplace room temp will do, heat is not neccesary, although warmth is said to help them a little. When i plant them they got taproot down. Then just brush a little soil back over them. Make sure soil is pretty wet. The less you have to water them the untill they sprout the better.
I intend on using the MH for veg, but at the moment the HPS is finishing my last blueberry mom this week. Then I will switch to the MH bulb.
