    My Hashberry/Mango grow

Time for a new adventure. Here is some basic information about what I am using/plan.

    1) 400w switchable (MH/HPS) lamp.
    2) Strains are Hashberry and Mango.
    3) Soil grow (pro-mix/ocean forrest).
    4) Planned SOG (sea of green - ie: many small clones).
    5) Space is a 4' x 4' x 6' closet.
    6) Walls are covered in myler (for reflectivness)
    7) Floor is plywood painted white (also reflectivness)
    8) One tower fan and one small table fan for air circulation and temperature control.
    9) One small fan blowing on ballast for lamp (help w/ longevity).
    10) All food used will be Fox Farm (see the website) except for some blackstrap mollasses.
    11) Water source is tap water (modified CAREFULLY w/ test kit and pH lowered w/ pH down).
    12) Containers are Solo plastic cups/2 gal plastic pots (good drainage is important so only type with many holes).
    13) Light cycle will be 20/4 veg and 12/12 flower.

I think that is enough for now

A few pics of how I germinated and planted my seeds. It is important not to drench the paper towels. Damp is good enough. Keep them in dark, but not so covered they get no air. Anyplace room temp will do, heat is not neccesary, although warmth is said to help them a little. When i plant them they got taproot down. Then just brush a little soil back over them. Make sure soil is pretty wet. The less you have to water them the untill they sprout the better.

I intend on using the MH for veg, but at the moment the HPS is finishing my last blueberry mom this week. Then I will switch to the MH bulb.

slayer34ny, looks like you're off and running! Just be sure to be careful with those babies when you're all Gumby'd up on your Belladonna! I'm sure you will have a great run with them, same as you did your BB and BD.

As an aside, how do you like your 400w MH/HPS conversion setup? I was looking at an all inclusive grow tent from HTGSupply (mainly because I'm lazy and like things extremely simple), and it had such a lamp. I'm looking into an indoor setup, and want to make sure I do it 1/2 way right the first go 'round.

Be good out there, and I wish you much success on this grow! Those sound like some sweet strains - I had ordered Papaya awhile back, but alas it was nabbed by Customs; so, I'm especially interested in following your Mango.

Yep. I have had real good luck with this lamp and ballast. One thing I would reccomend is to pay for the bulb upgrade. The cheap bulbs that came w/ the kit blew 3-4 times. Both the MH and the HPS. thankfully HTGsupply sent me the upgrade bulbs(agromax) at no extra charge. They did replace the bad bulbs each time though. So if you are looking at buying from them I say go for it. I am very happy overall.

Ive got sprouters. All 6 seeds planted have sprouted up. Only 1 mango is lagging behind a little.

Kinda worthless pics, but here are a few snaps anyway. See you soon.

slayer, I'm looking forward to an update, my friend, and I hope all of your lil' sprouts have become some nice strong lil' ladies. Hashberry and Mango sounds like some sort of fruit salad, or maybe that's just what they'll do to your mind, eh - make it a bowl of fruit salad.

Sorry its been awhile w/ no updates. A long story short, my fn computer blew up. After about $400 on a new dual core (w/ 8800gt PCIe Vid) I am now up and running again. Really put a cramp on my online poker winnings for the week. Yes, I am a poker GOD.

Here are a few updated pics of my babies. All working on stage 3 of growth. Looking mighty healthy. I got to say this should be a grerat yielding grow. I think I am now comfortable w/ my skills. BTW the blueberry and belladonna from my last grow is about half gone (9 oz), The buds are SOOOOOOOOO good. I have been real high for about 2 weeks straight, non-stop. LOL

As for the mango's....As far as I know I think they did come from KC Brains. I ordered the first set in January from Weed-seeds.net. I was dissappointed in the fact that not ONE of the mango's sprouted. I was told at the time that KC supplied the mango's. As I am a good customer they sent NEW mango seeds w/ my last order. If they came from KC I am not sure. I am assuming that they did. The good news is ALL the mango's I started sprouted and are doing quite well. I am pretty surprised.

All the plants are doing very well, and yes the sprouts did have healthy looking parts. They are fatter than most of the others I have started.

I am transplanting tonight into 1 gallon bucket w/ pro-mix. Pictures to come soon

OK...so I transplanted my babies into 1 gallon pots to give em' more room to grow. Also to start a feeding schedule. (Fox Farms nutes)

I use the plastic cups for ease of removal. Being careful, I knock off all old soil (this is easier when its dry) after cutting the cups open w/ scissors. I fill the new pots about half way and make a lil room in the middle for the plants and her roots. I leave room from the top of the pot (about 3") so i can fill it as the plant grows. This helps to stablize your main stalk, hence no worries of helping the plant stay upright. Also I feel it makes LSTing (tying) easier as well

I am planning on sexing these in another 10 days or so. After that it will be off to a 3-4 gallon pot for the females. FYI...the best pots are the cheapest ones. Go to a garden dept or store and get cheap, thin platic ones. They will have nice drain holes in the bottom and will be very cheap. .30 to 1.00 each, depending on size. ANYTHING with a resevoir or any kind of cup at bottom will rot your roots. Drainage is VERY important. If you have to, stones can be used at bottom. But I like tap root room, so I do not use them.

Some snaps for ya below. More to come soon.
