I think it's a little strange that you're deciding between these two. If you want bag use and whip, it's either the Extreme or the herbalAire IMO. If you don't care about bag use, why consider the $300 Extreme? As for the Vapor Bros, it's overrated IMO. The Vaporwarez Vaporcannon has the same performance with a better price and 5 yrs. warranty against 2 for the VB. The standard Vaporcannon is only $120 from several sellers and you can get a scale and grinder for free. For hands free use in the $150 range, I think the best buy is the Da Buddha, which has the Silver Surfer technology and reliability at a cheaper price.
I had the V-Tower, which is the whip only version of the Extreme. While it's more satisfying than the herbalAire for whip use, the Extreme comes up short for whip satisfaction vs. the standard whip only units like the above mentioned vapes, because the Extreme's air flow is through wider openings, making for less vapor rich hits. Some people like the wider air flow though. To each his own.
You need to decide whether you want bag fill capability, whip use, or both, and narrow your choice from there.

What's the warranty on a vapir one? How much testing did they do on the vapor contents? Can you carry a whip around the house like my Volcano bags? How do you get more vapor/air ratio? Plus I've gotten particles in my mouth from whips but they're still alright.:hippy::stoned:
vap one has a bag, too. i'm really not all that impressed with the Volcano from all that I've read. I guess it has the added bonus of being able to go on the internet and tell everyone you have one :thumbsup: but beyond that I really don't see much value in them over other bag vaps.

The only downside is portability and that's the reason cheaper portable ones have a good place in the market . Efficiency is a downside, and by efficiency, I mean a vaporizer that will help conserve your bud while still getting you high. Example. I use a vape strictly for personal use. I only take 1 to 3 hits a night of super dank high-end medical grade bud. Filling up a bag would be a waste for me. There are vapes, like the Purple Days that is SUPER efficient due to two reasons. Another big downside for a lot of people with any bag filler is taste. With bags you get total blandness-the good taste at the start of the bowl is blended with the bad at the end. Some prefer that. I got tired of it. Got tired of the diluted taste as well. Direct draw provides a much higher vapor to air ratio for vapor rich hits.
Can't beat the Extreme for versatility. It would be my choice among those three no doubt.Quote:

There are strengths and weaknesses to various vape designs, and one model can't be THE BEST in all areas. Lots of people don't like bags. That eliminates the 'cano right off the bat. Others want direct draw and bag fill. Doesn't satisfy that requirement either. More and more, people who do a lot of looking around at what experienced users of multiple models are using, are finding that the Volcano is not always the popular choice. I can point you to a 'cano owner on another forum who's vape of choice is now the Purple Days. Let's just say there's lots of competition these days from vape makers who are providing different types/styles of quality vapes, and leave it at that. At least that's where I'll leave it. I'm sure you'd like to have the last word though. ;)
Everything you stated is your own opinion . I HAVE looked around the net and I could find people to back my view too. Proof via customer reviews means nothing compared to actual published studies. Ok, FourTwenty, truce. But being that you are an avid Volcano user, I have a question, and it's not a loaded question. I would really like your input on this.
With whip based vapes, you loose some THC due to condensation that builds up in the whip and in the wand, but you can recover it through an ISO wash.
But what about bags? I would think that condensation would build up there too, but how in the hell could you retrieve it? And if condensation does not build up in the bags, please explain why it wouldn't when it does in whips and wands.
Well I never attempted to get residue from a whip. As with all vaporizers, I just use the 4 USES method of 1. Vape and get high but don't vape it to max potential , keep lower temps . 2. Grind and revape everthing from step 1 to get high all over again, Perfect for when you're low or out of your main stash. 3 Collect all kif from the grinder to make hash. 4 Finally make cannabutter with the 2x vaped buds. If I could extract the bag residue , i'm sure I wouldn't get much, especially if I've been vaping at lower temps . You're right that residue DOES build up but it depends how often you vape, temp, and how well you keep every other part clean. I change bags about once every 3 months so 4 a year but I use 2 sets so 8 bags total. . It is nice to get a fresh clean bag instead of a constantly washed glass whip but the whips are easier to maintain than replacing a bag on an Easy Valve. I always have to be careful taking apart /putting back on.Quote:
