If only they would have delivered it to me, no one would have ever heard about it...
This pisses me off if mail comes to your house and your name is not on it. Dont fuckin open it its not your fuckin business what its contents are. If this guy just called fed ex and said u delivered this to the wrong place maybe he wouldve gotten it.
HOly Shit!
I am guessing that the person that recieved the package could smell it, it was 200lbs! If not and they just opened it and then found it....then fuck'em.
I always wonder just how much cannabis is shipped within the U.S. via Fedex, airborne xpress, ups, ect....
I know that I had heard in Montana some dispencaries were shipping to patients because of the limited number of clinics, and vast rural expanses. Seems like a good idea to me, until you get caught. I wonder how these companies handle that in MMJ states. I am guessing they probably want nothing to do with it since they operate nationally, and have to have consistent policies. Who knows though, if they don't know then maybe it's ok.
If it's not yours dont touch.. what a kick to the dick for everyone..Quote:

Too bad the 4th amendment stuff doesn't hold up here... evidence obtained through wrongful search and seizure can't be used. The package was wrongfully (and possibly illegally) opened, so there should be no penalty for the intended recipient and no warrants to intercept any more of his mail.
If this was a Customs issue I'd totally understand that the dude would be royally screwed, but nah it was all fudged by that moron that just had to see what was in the box... such dishonesty... very sad.
Good to know more of how the law really works.... against us.
This story of the wrong delivery is very fishy. One report said that it was four boxes, containg a total of 200 lbs. When FEDEX workers deliver that many heavy boxes, they don't make stupid mistakes like that. Wouldnt the guy who signed for them, if he did sign, have noticed that they weren't for him right on the spot? It does not say in the article that any of the boxes were ever opened by the wrong recipient.
Well now this is interesting cause I work for FedEx Ground, and I just happen to handle all the damaged packages in my terminal. If these people were trying to exchange 50 pound boxes of weed then they must have been packaged well, and the asshole who got em by mistake should have to have some kind of punishment for opening them illegaly.
Man would it be great to find something like that here. If I got a damaged package full of weed and I was the only one who noticed I'd get it packaged up and sent on to it's rightfull owner (minus a few choice nugs of course.)
Great now I'm gonna be wishin every package at work had weed in it. . . Wait, I already do that. :D
just out of curiosity since we are on the topic, does fed ex instruct their employees to be on the look out for drugs?
Also as to what herbalConfusion said, i have always heard NEVER use the postal service, because that would make something like that a federal offense...
What do you folks think?
My sister has worked at U.S.P.S. 35 years--it is big time federal issue! don't know the specific's, sure someone else does. Never use U.S.P.S.!
The U.S.P.S. has special stations for the dogs to sniff and take care of packages; plus lots of federal guards--and those guys don't mess around. The walk with weapons. I couldn't imagine working in an environment that the security (your Gov't employer) has guards with guns, to take you out and not save and protect me! Ick:hippy
It really pisses me off when people open and snoop ( even without opening): If it ain't yours it ain't yours-leave it alone or tell the owner to remove it, immediately)-better yet, return it.
Talking of Fed Ex, I heard to ship to a P.o Box with no return address?
How well could you wrap anything to not be detected?
Bet by the stuff this seiz arrived at the Station it was a few nugs short!!! lol:hippy:
sounds like mission impossible

UPS
what brown can do for you has a whole new meaning
A PO box sounds scary to me. Because someone would have to go there and actually pick it up...not sure really how PO boxes work as i have not used one, but wouldn't one need to show an ID to set one up, and do they have them at places other than the USPS?
Here's a made up scenario. Person <A> sends an overnight package using phoney names to person <B>. It is sent "signed for" so the receiver<B> does not need to sign for it, and it will be left on a doorstep. The receiver then takes it inside and just leaves it there. DOES NOT OPEN IT BECAUSE IT DOES NOT HAVE HIS NAME ON IT. Wait a few days, if someone storms your house let them know that you were on your way to returning the UNOPENED package to the UPS or fedex store. They would probably arrest you, but it may stand up in court. Whadya all think?
It would seem the problem would be waiting and not tearing right into it:)
It all seems like risky business and i cannot believe that someone had the cajones to send 200 lbs!
thats fucked up..the dude that was supposed to get it got arrested for possession with intent to distribute...how?!? he never got it...and the "wrong sendee" gets nothing for opening someone elses mail? although it doesnt say someone opened it....shitty situation any way you look at it...someone down here (FL) lost all that nug...no money....
whiskeytango
Nah they pay before they ship it thats how it goes unless your shipping it to someone within your distribution chain.Quote:

I know alot about this stuff ;) you have something called plausible deniability. They have to show proof you initiated the package in motion without doing that they have nothing on you. Thats why you always get letters from customs when they catch your seeds or drugs etc. Google plausible deniability its used as a defense for govt officials as well as civilians. Probably one of the easier ways to defend yourself. Everyone uses it even the churches.Quote:

thanks for sharing you knowledge Confusion. I wonder what they may define "initiating" it? Something as simple as a phone call to the state it was sent from? Or something concrete.
To be honest i do not know. I would think they have to link you to the person who sent the package. In our government your right a phone call to a pay phone or tracfone would in the same state would probably be enough.Quote:
