This pisses me off if mail comes to your house and your name is not on it. Dont fuckin open it its not your fuckin business what its contents are. If this guy just called fed ex and said u delivered this to the wrong place maybe he wouldve gotten it.

I am guessing that the person that recieved the package could smell it, it was 200lbs! If not and they just opened it and then found it....then fuck'em.
I always wonder just how much cannabis is shipped within the U.S. via Fedex, airborne xpress, ups, ect....
I know that I had heard in Montana some dispencaries were shipping to patients because of the limited number of clinics, and vast rural expanses. Seems like a good idea to me, until you get caught. I wonder how these companies handle that in MMJ states. I am guessing they probably want nothing to do with it since they operate nationally, and have to have consistent policies. Who knows though, if they don't know then maybe it's ok.

Eh i doubt smell was the problem. If smell was got this package caught then it would have been caught in a facility. Rely on the Government for your parcels and you will be a o k.

Dang! Wouldn't it be a federal offense to open someone else's Fedex package? Seems like it should be. That person should go to jail instead. Or does that law only apply to US Postal service?

Too bad the 4th amendment stuff doesn't hold up here... evidence obtained through wrongful search and seizure can't be used. The package was wrongfully (and possibly illegally) opened, so there should be no penalty for the intended recipient and no warrants to intercept any more of his mail.

If this was a Customs issue I'd totally understand that the dude would be royally screwed, but nah it was all fudged by that moron that just had to see what was in the box... such dishonesty... very sad.

Good to know more of how the law really works.... against us.

This story of the wrong delivery is very fishy. One report said that it was four boxes, containg a total of 200 lbs. When FEDEX workers deliver that many heavy boxes, they don't make stupid mistakes like that. Wouldnt the guy who signed for them, if he did sign, have noticed that they weren't for him right on the spot? It does not say in the article that any of the boxes were ever opened by the wrong recipient.

Well now this is interesting cause I work for FedEx Ground, and I just happen to handle all the damaged packages in my terminal. If these people were trying to exchange 50 pound boxes of weed then they must have been packaged well, and the asshole who got em by mistake should have to have some kind of punishment for opening them illegaly.

Man would it be great to find something like that here. If I got a damaged package full of weed and I was the only one who noticed I'd get it packaged up and sent on to it's rightfull owner (minus a few choice nugs of course.)

just out of curiosity since we are on the topic, does fed ex instruct their employees to be on the look out for drugs?

Also as to what herbalConfusion said, i have always heard NEVER use the postal service, because that would make something like that a federal offense...
