Help help heeeelp HEEEEEELP! drooping with Procyon 100!!!

Ok. We are experiencing abnormal plant drooping.

Our setup:
* grow area: 2' x 6' x 2' (w x h x d)
* plants are of unknown strain (regs).
* DWC. 2 buckets. 5 gal.
* we run one airstone in each bucket using a split connection to a rena air 300 air pump.
* we are using tap water. no ro water available.
lucas formula using nh microgro and bloom nutes
* no algae in sight.
* 5.9-6.1 ph.
* unknown tds/ec (we don't have the meter yet).
* unknown temperature (not hot at all. my guess is 79 on avg.)
* using a procyon 100 LED grow light hung 2 ft above plant tops (plants average 6 inches in height. 18/6 cycle.
* we're running small computer fan as exhaust blowing air out through a carbon filter attached to the grow box.
* grow box is inside bedroom closet with lots of air circulation.
* no intake fan.

we know it looks bad. we need help, not a lecture.. we appreciate any advice.. thanks so much all. spread the love.

not a light issue, unless its the distance...i have kept mine 12-18 in away from the tops of the plants. I am a dirty guy, so I dont know if any of your hydro issues are wrong..But i know a few things about growing with that light:jointsmile:
At 18in away from the tops of the plants, them being 6in tall, i would say you have good light for 2' x 3' in your closet. are the buckets pushed together? and you need air to change, not just circulate.

All right we made some changes. we added another computer fan as an intake fan. that has helped. the plants are now exploding with new growth. they aren't drooping.

I was right about the avg temperature. it's about 78 in the box.

we want to figure out how to lower the temperature of our water. it's usually around 74-76 degrees. we want to lower it to prevent pythium.. our buckets are black. should we cover the outside with white contact paper or mylar or something to reflect the light? i think the buckets being black might heat up the reservoir a little too much.

ph is steady around 5.8. still, we have no idea what the strain is. :-/

ec is unknown.. we have not purchased a meter. we are adding just ph-corrected water to the solution when we top it off.

Hey there sassy, it's the light... pics taken under agricultural LEDs look purple.

great to see your doing so well now:thumbsup: plants look just fine, our leaves looked yellow under the LEDs when they were actually bright green

any chance youll make a grow log? many have been interested to see a hydro set up under a procyon, also 1 procyon by itself. at the very least maybe take pics along the way and post a results thread. the more information we can get together the better:D

Just apply a little Liquid Light at half strength and your plants will not be droopy any more.

Sorry to temp hijack but you use Penatrator in combination with the Liquid Light right? Is 1/2 strenght the norm? Thanks.

I don't know of anyone who is taking my advice to use the stuff at half strength. I don't get it myself, since that's all I've ever used. Half strength does some pretty amazing stuff, and I've always been too afraid to try it at a stronger concentration. I keep seeing reports of people freaking out because it does some weird thing at full strength, which seems to be the norm. Fine. Told ya so, and yes be sure to use Penetrator as well. It makes all the difference in the world.
