Looking good, but your bottom leaves are showing some sort of deficiency or other issue. Post some pics focusing on those leaves.
My guess is heat stress near the lamps. (1st picture)
I have no experience with CFL grows, but do they usually look lime-green?
If that stuff on bottom is getting zero light, you might consider doing some trimming. CFLs don't penetrate very well, and if you have leaves in the dark, the plant is wasting energy. I usually trim that stuff off so the plant can use it's energy on new leaves and buds, instead of trying to preserve useless leaves.
Looks good but I agree that The bottom needs more light.
thanks.. the yellow leaves have been trimmed off.
i ordered a 400 w hps it says its scheduled to be here tommorow
will post new pics today
yay pics and more yellow leaves for me to trim tommorow
Plants only look lime-green because of the way the fluorescent light hits the plant,so they're still nice and MJ green.
nice plants
400w HPS got here yesterday so heres some pics
update.. the plant has been under the 400 w HPS for a week...
the camera is really bad quality so...
Your plant is going to love having that HPS! You should see some noticeable difference in bud production, and in much less time. Looking good, I hope you enjoy the harvest.
As for the yellow leaves; it's pretty common to see this during flowering, when the plant should be receiving much less Nitrogen, and more Phosphorus and Potassium. I will take off the leaves that have shriveled and died after turning yellow, but you should leave as many on the plant as is possible. You can trim some if they're getting in the way, just don't go overboard. Your plants will rely on most of the fan leaves to help produce healthy flower clusters.
If you can figure-out how to adjust the White Balance setting, it compensates for the yellowing of the HPS light. I don't know if all digital cameras give you the option, tho.Quote:
