Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
Here are the advantages and disadvantages of toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag:
Toking 24/7
Advantages:
â?¢ Simply being stoned all the time.
Disadvantages:
â?¢ Simply being stoned all the time.
â?¢ Takes longer to clean your system when looking for work.
â?¢ Effects are not as potent when you're stoned 24/7.
â?¢ An oz of Cannabis disappears within a week.
â?¢ Your bank savings disappears within a week.
â?¢ Higher risk of getting caught.
â?¢ Losing the true meaning of enjoying with moderation.
â?¢ Pure withdrawal once you run out - even if it's for a few days.
â?¢ Everyone sees you as a pot-head.
The occasional drag
Advantages:
â?¢ Effects are always potent and thoroughly enjoyable.
â?¢ Takes a few days to clean your system when looking for work.
â?¢ An oz of Cannabis last months.
â?¢ Your bank savings grows.
â?¢ Less risk of getting caught - unless you're dumb enough to smoke outside the confines of your home.
â?¢ Others don't look at you as some pot-head.
â?¢ Little to no withdrawal when you run out. You're more patient when looking for more.
â?¢ Always have enough for friends when they visit.
â?¢ Your girlfriend is more likely to try it since she doesn't see you as an addicted pot-head.
â?¢ Less people would expect you to be a toker which brings less attention from the wrong crowd.
Disadvantages:
â?¢ Damn good question..
----
Take it from me everyone, I've had my years of experience. For a time, I've been toking 24/7 and, after a while, it just wasn't fun anymore. An 8th would last me one hour and I wouldn't feel the enjoyment of being toked. It became a necessity and it lost it's true meaning (not to mention I was cash poor all the time).
The occasional toke is fine. Imagine you have a shit load of work to do. Projects the entire week, keeping you on your feet. Now imagine completing these projects and finally going home to enjoy a good movie and toke for the weekend. How much better is that compared to toking day in and day out? First of all, you'll be panicked all the time. Second of all, I seriously doubt your project will get done and even if it did, it wouldn't be as good as if you were sober the entire time. Third of all, you're more likely to get caught and/or lose your job since, through suspicion, you'll be asked to take a drug test.
Remember, toking isn't a bad thing. But it's just as bad as being an alcoholic if you do it 24/7. Enjoy your cannabis, don't rely on it.
That's my two cents on the issue. Take it from me, you'll thank me when you notice how much more potent it is when you take the occasional drag versus smoking it as much as people smoke cigarettes

p.s. Rolling is not a bad thing :rastasmoke: . Rolling 7 a day is :wtf:

Disadvantages:
â?¢ Simply being stond all the time. It can't be both, so it's only an advantageâ?¢ Takes longer to clean your system when looking for work. Get a job that doesn't require drug tests, be your own boss, write books, create music, paint..
â?¢ Effects are not as potent when you're stoned 24/7. Sure they are, if you're smoking piffâ?¢ An oz of Cannabis disappears within a week. Not necessarily, smoke bongs or pipes. if i smoked a gram a day that would be 28 days...
â?¢ Your bank savings disappears within a week. No it wouldn't, since i have a job why does it matter, the money replenishes. Grow your own...â?¢ Higher risk of getting caught. how so? only if you smoke in public
â?¢ Losing the true meaning of enjoying with moderation. you can enjoy it with moderation and with excess...â?¢ Pure withdrawal once you run out - even if it's for a few days. Not true, no pysical withdrawl symptoms no matter ow much you smoke, will power all it takes.â?¢ Everyone sees you as a pot-head. Not every one sees you as a pothead, why should i care what judgemental people think?
I smoke ganja spiritualy every day if i have it, as much as i can. Does that make me a 'bad' person? Does that make me any worse then someone who tokes once in a while? That would depend on your definition of worse. As long as i don't think cannabis is effecting my life in a negative way then i shall continue to smoke and praise Jah.

do what is right for u...some ppl dont like to smoke everyday and thats ok, some ppl love to smoke everyday, what ever makes you happy is what you should do, forget all the pros and cons as far as im concerned, the most important fact is what makes you happy
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
I agree with both above users on each.... I think what it really boils down to is self-willpower.

You have made some good points but since I started really smoking and now just doing it with friends, I make sure I smoke every night before I go to bed. I can feel that my tolerance is going up, but I don't feel it's worth it to take a day or two off at this time. And if you're always careful, you don't have to worry about getting caught, although I try to be pretty careful and somehow still end up coming close to getting sniped a lot.
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
Well, as they say, to each his own. One thing about cannabis that's true is that everyone's experience is different. Some may be cool with it 24/7 other's may not. The above statement is really for those interested working in the corporate world which is quite different from the world of music, art, self-employment, etc...

I could smoke dank constantly, as I have plenty, and I'm retired. But I really only smoke like one bowl a day, shared with the woman. I just don't *like* being wasted constantly. When it's a constant state of existence, you can't compare it to being sober, so it quickly becomes kinda lame, at least for me. Also, I'm a bookworm and read a ton, and reading when stoned is almost impossible for me -- I end up rereading and rereading the same paragraph or page.
There have been times in my life when I was stoned 24/7. The eight months I spent in Grenada during/after the invasion, I was stoned constantly. I probably averaged at least a dozen joints a day, if not more. But there wasn't a whole lot to do once we booted the Cubans back to Cuba. My military job was keeping Radio Free Grenada running. Since problems were rare, the bulk of my job was filling a generator with fuel once a day and listening to reggae music 17 hours a day, and laying on the beach whenever I wasn't on duty. That's a very conducive environment for being stoned 24/7, obviously. Not to mention, it cost only $120 U.S. for a *pound*, so there was basically an endless supply.

i understand what you are saying Dude, but i'm not going to "take it from you" because everyone has a different way of smoking. some people like smoking in the outdoors, some people will only smoke indoors, as some people say they get much higher off of a bowl or bong where as some people swear by joints/blunts. it all depends on what kind of person you are. i smoke a few times every day simply because i love to smoke. it helps pass the time, it's an awesome thing to do with my buddies, or i can use smoking just to meet new people. on the other hand, i have friends who will pack 1 bowl and just smoke off of that one bowl throughout the whole day.

Impossible. There is no such thing as too much herb. It's impossible. Nope, impossible. There's no way.
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
Marijauna despite it's less harmful compared to other drugs such as heroin or cocaine is still an easy drug to use, specifically for this very reason.
Some people are more sensetive to cannabis than others but everyone is human and we all have limits where we're just high too much or too often. It's not logical to say smoke in moderation and then smoke 24/7. That's not moderate for anybody. The truth is our bodies are a lot more similar than you might think.
When you smoke alot of weed, toxins build up in your body just like if you eat too much food or drink too much alchohol. Smoking weed can cause paranoia and increases your heart rate. And the truth of the matter, is that despite that in some instances weed can help you calm down to think better or help you to release youer creativity for some people, that's defenitely not for everyone.
Above that all other reasons why to smoke in moderation, life is simply better sober. If I had a choice of being high for the rest of my life and being sober, I would defenitely choose sobriety. Weed can do a lot of things for you if you're stressed or can't sleep or need to relax, or are having trouble making a breakthrough in some artor concept, but after that's all done and weed has done it's purpose it's time to get back to living without being numbed down in any way or thoughts suppressed. I want to feel life at it's fullest and that's best done sober where my feelings are not suppressed by any drugs and I am free to experience the fullness of the interaction with the rest of the world.
I usually just buy a 20 bag and then break off a little piece a day or maybe two pieces and try to make it last a week to ten days. If my tolerance starts going up then I just stop smoking for a few days or a week and then come back, or else radically reduce my consumption. I also try to alternate and drink beer instead of weed so that helps too.

It's as simple as this. Smoke if it's not gonna cause any negativity.
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
I like to just smoke a couple times a week.It just seems to make it that much more special of an experience.
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
Honestly, although all our bodies are similar, we all do act differently when it comes to toking. But one thing everyone should admit, it's always more potent when one waits a bit.

Advantages:
â?¢ Effects are always potent and thoroughly enjoyable.
- Always? So youd not smoke for a week, then smoke mids and enjoy it? Eff that.
â?¢ Takes a few days to clean your system when looking for work.
- Wtf are you talking about? You smoke, and your dirty for about 3-4 weeks, so stop.
â?¢ An oz of Cannabis last months.
-Umm, maybe for you bro, but with the occassional toke I couldnt see it lasting more than 2 weeks, MAYBE 3. Month(s)? LOL...N00b
â?¢ Your bank savings grows.
-Oh suddenly, you're a banker? Maybe we smoke errday cause we get insane deals.
â?¢ Less risk of getting caught - unless you're dumb enough to smoke outside the confines of your home.
- Say I smoke a whole oz in my room. Safe. Say I smoke one joint in the park once a month (MORE RISK). Point shattered.
â?¢ Others don't look at you as some pot-head.
-Others will look at you in whatever way they want too. Stop.
â?¢ Little to no withdrawal when you run out. You're more patient when looking for more.
- WRONG AGAIN. If you have withdrawals, you have withdrawals it doesnt matter if you smoke all day or if you hardly smoke. Its a craving.
â?¢ Always have enough for friends when they visit.
- Always? And who the hell wants to smoke everyone down all the time, because it feels good to keep your tolerance down? lol LOSER.
â?¢ Your girlfriend is more likely to try it since she doesn't see you as an addicted pot-head.
- You know you dont even have a girlfriend.
â?¢ Less people would expect you to be a toker which brings less attention from the wrong crowd.
- Once again, if people know you smoke they know you smoke. They dont talk about you saying "Oh yeah hes mad cool, but hes only an occassional smoker."
LOL bro, I smoke all day everyday and the advantages are that its prime, the disavantages are that YOU ARE JEALOUS. haha.
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
i smoke ritually and habitually, without weed everyday, multiple times a day, i'd go straight loco........
Toking 24/7 vs the occasional drag.
I see nothing wrong with being stoned 24/7. If you have any goals or anything to do then it might cause problems. as I said..I see nothing WRONG with it.
HOWEVER...
I think of it this way.
Imagine your locked in a room...nothing but bread and water to eat and drink...
This is the same for 2 weeks. Then all of a sudden...the door flies open and a line of cooks and bakers and chefs bring in cakes and spaghetti and chicken and ham and vegetable and steak and loads of juicy wonderful things to eat. Cakes and cookies and wine and milk and beer and pepsi and loads of delicious sweets all yours for the taking.
Your gonna hurt yourself on some food right? Like...your about to TEAR INTO some food.
So you murder all you can handle and lay back down in contentment.
NOW...
Imagine how much you would enjoy that...and then for the next two weeks you face nothing but bread and water again...
Now...scenario two is...
You have all that food and drinks and everything 24/7. It would began to not be so special anymore would it? It wouldn't be such a big deal because it would simply lose it's luster.
This is the way I look at smoking. I like to quit for about...4-7 days...then just blaze my brains out and enjoy it so much....It also keeps your tolerance moderately low this way and you get soooo high! Now I am not saying that everynow and then I don't like to smoke as much as possible whenever I can...
I am saying there needs to be a balance between the two because I for one do NOT want my sweet herb losing it's attractiveness to me...because that is how and why most people go on to doing harder drugs...
such as cocaine and meth...
>.<:(

I disagree, St33ner, an ounce really can last months. Me and the woman smoke a bowl each evening, nothing huge, and an ounce really does last a couple of months. It's not that I don't have enough, or that I'm jealous. I've got a few ounces in the fridge, a bottle of oil made from 3 ounces of Jock Horror buds, 1.5 pounds of Jock Horror and AK-48 two weeks from harvest, a half pound of AK-48 about 5 weeks from harvest, and a pile of NYC Diesel and Hindu Kush seedlings I'm prepping for the next crops. I have *plenty*. I enjoy my evening bowl greatly, but I don't really care to be stoned every day, all the time. Been there, done that.
Here's a pile of jars from a previous harvest, and a drying screen full of Jock Horror, and a bottle of my oil. That's what I see, on average, once a month. But just because I have that much doesn't mean I want to be stoned all the time. I'm very happy with myself straight too. I'm also an avid reader, and reading while stoned doesn't work for me; I just end up rereading the same page over and over and over.

I work in the corporate world, and have no problems smoking.
I, up until recently, smoked two bowls before work, two bowls at lunch, and then a bowl every hour or so once I am home from work until I go to bed. On the weekends I smoke all day long, and I have none of the con's you listed there. Hell, half of the cons you mentioned are a problem with people who smoke a bowl a day too, depending on the situation.
The truth is, just because its true for you, doesnt mean its true for anyone else. And your tone makes it seem very preachy instead of just what you figured out works in your life.
Oh, and btw, an ounce lasts me an entire month no problem smoking all day long. Sounds like you just have a problem with tolerance or something, might want to look into that.

Ive just closed the deal on two major contracts for my company, that they had been working on for the past 8 months. I came in, and in under a month, got all the paperwork, and peoplework done, and everything ironed out that was needed for the clients to sign the contracts. The stoner. The one who according to you wouldnt get things done as well being high.
Now, I love to consider myself beyond awesome, but I sincerely doubt that I am some guy who could convince a woman to take off her clothes in under a minute every time, which is what I would have to be for what I did while high to be "not as good as if I was sober".
When I got hired on with my company, I was informed that they have regular piss tests that are performed on new employees for the first 6 months. I havent had a piss test yet, since the pre-employment one I took, because they dont even suspect that I smoke.
And I dont think I have ever been panicked all the time, from smoking pot all the time. In fact, Id say I have been less panicked from doing so.
PS: I really am beyond awesome, and if any ladies would like to test this theory that sober I can get your clothes off in under a minute, I am down. :p
PPS: But in all seriouslierness, I am that awesome.

Well, I would be lying if I said I wasn't jealous :stoned: . With my IBD and self-employed status I could damn well invest some serious one-bowl-time with that lot.

If i didn't WANT to smoke then i wouldn't because i DON'T need it. I smoke in honour of the head creator and to fulfil my preference utilitarian philosophy.
