Take it from me everyone, I've had my years of experience. For a time, I've been toking 24/7 and, after a while, it just wasn't fun anymore. An 8th would last me one hour and I wouldn't feel the enjoyment of being toked. It became a necessity and it lost it's true meaning (not to mention I was cash poor all the time).
The occasional toke is fine. Imagine you have a shit load of work to do. Projects the entire week, keeping you on your feet. Now imagine completing these projects and finally going home to enjoy a good movie and toke for the weekend. How much better is that compared to toking day in and day out? First of all, you'll be panicked all the time. Second of all, I seriously doubt your project will get done and even if it did, it wouldn't be as good as if you were sober the entire time. Third of all, you're more likely to get caught and/or lose your job since, through suspicion, you'll be asked to take a drug test.
Remember, toking isn't a bad thing. But it's just as bad as being an alcoholic if you do it 24/7. Enjoy your cannabis, don't rely on it.
That's my two cents on the issue. Take it from me, you'll thank me when you notice how much more potent it is when you take the occasional drag versus smoking it as much as people smoke cigarettes

I agree with both above users on each.... I think what it really boils down to is self-willpower.
I smoke/eat/inhale/digest weed/hash/kief/butter whenever I want, because I don\'t think what I do is wrong, and neither should anyone else when they partake of the bud.

You have made some good points but since I started really smoking and now just doing it with friends, I make sure I smoke every night before I go to bed. I can feel that my tolerance is going up, but I don't feel it's worth it to take a day or two off at this time. And if you're always careful, you don't have to worry about getting caught, although I try to be pretty careful and somehow still end up coming close to getting sniped a lot.

Well, as they say, to each his own. One thing about cannabis that's true is that everyone's experience is different. Some may be cool with it 24/7 other's may not. The above statement is really for those interested working in the corporate world which is quite different from the world of music, art, self-employment, etc...

I could smoke dank constantly, as I have plenty, and I'm retired. But I really only smoke like one bowl a day, shared with the woman. I just don't *like* being wasted constantly. When it's a constant state of existence, you can't compare it to being sober, so it quickly becomes kinda lame, at least for me. Also, I'm a bookworm and read a ton, and reading when stoned is almost impossible for me -- I end up rereading and rereading the same paragraph or page.
There have been times in my life when I was stoned 24/7. The eight months I spent in Grenada during/after the invasion, I was stoned constantly. I probably averaged at least a dozen joints a day, if not more. But there wasn't a whole lot to do once we booted the Cubans back to Cuba. My military job was keeping Radio Free Grenada running. Since problems were rare, the bulk of my job was filling a generator with fuel once a day and listening to reggae music 17 hours a day, and laying on the beach whenever I wasn't on duty. That's a very conducive environment for being stoned 24/7, obviously. Not to mention, it cost only $120 U.S. for a *pound*, so there was basically an endless supply.

i understand what you are saying Dude, but i'm not going to "take it from you" because everyone has a different way of smoking. some people like smoking in the outdoors, some people will only smoke indoors, as some people say they get much higher off of a bowl or bong where as some people swear by joints/blunts. it all depends on what kind of person you are. i smoke a few times every day simply because i love to smoke. it helps pass the time, it's an awesome thing to do with my buddies, or i can use smoking just to meet new people. on the other hand, i have friends who will pack 1 bowl and just smoke off of that one bowl throughout the whole day.

Marijauna despite it's less harmful compared to other drugs such as heroin or cocaine is still an easy drug to use, specifically for this very reason.
Some people are more sensetive to cannabis than others but everyone is human and we all have limits where we're just high too much or too often. It's not logical to say smoke in moderation and then smoke 24/7. That's not moderate for anybody. The truth is our bodies are a lot more similar than you might think.
When you smoke alot of weed, toxins build up in your body just like if you eat too much food or drink too much alchohol. Smoking weed can cause paranoia and increases your heart rate. And the truth of the matter, is that despite that in some instances weed can help you calm down to think better or help you to release youer creativity for some people, that's defenitely not for everyone.
Above that all other reasons why to smoke in moderation, life is simply better sober. If I had a choice of being high for the rest of my life and being sober, I would defenitely choose sobriety. Weed can do a lot of things for you if you're stressed or can't sleep or need to relax, or are having trouble making a breakthrough in some artor concept, but after that's all done and weed has done it's purpose it's time to get back to living without being numbed down in any way or thoughts suppressed. I want to feel life at it's fullest and that's best done sober where my feelings are not suppressed by any drugs and I am free to experience the fullness of the interaction with the rest of the world.
I usually just buy a 20 bag and then break off a little piece a day or maybe two pieces and try to make it last a week to ten days. If my tolerance starts going up then I just stop smoking for a few days or a week and then come back, or else radically reduce my consumption. I also try to alternate and drink beer instead of weed so that helps too.And God said... I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. ..And to every beast of the earth.. I have given every green herb for meat... \" Genesis 1:29-30

bears seed, and green.
When God\'s law and man\'s law contradict, God\'s law prevails.Man is judging God\'s law.Thank God for cannabis.
