Parents staying up too late.

This one is for all the kids out there who live with their anti-pot parents.

My parents stay up late, beyond midnight sometimes, and it sucks. I want to smoke a joint in the evening to relax after a hard days work (no I'm not a lazy pothead), but I can't do it if my parents are up, because I'll get sent to the rehab clinic. So I must wait until they are asleep.

Its terrible! Sometimes I resort to less smelly drugs like alcohol or pills so I can get high earlier, but all I really want is weed. Sweet, harmless, innocent weed.

PS: When I say harmless, I mean that weed harms you LESS than any other recreational drug. I'm sick of these bullshit ads that say "Think weed is harmless? Think again! It could change the way you THINK!"

Yeah i know what you mean. My parents stay up late all the time. Try going for a walk and then smoking. If you have a dog that would be better because it would you an excuse to go out for a walk.

yea i do it when my parents are home i made a way to get rid of the smell you take a water bottle and poke like 2 holes in the bottem don't make them to big like about the size of a cigret then put dryer cloth like bounce or whatever in the bottle like 6 sheets and blow you smoke through it and no smell
and open a couple of windoes

some shit i use to do:

][ reverse the battery in your fire alarm just in case
][ use some sort of fan near the window. its summer, fans arent sketchy to parents
][ use a bottlecap and put it over ur bowl when you are done hitting it to kill the extra smoke (sometimes stop it from burning and conserve weeD)
][ put some music on to kill little sounds like lighting your weed or you coughin. cough into a pillow, and if you have to cough, hold your hit in longer. it works for me, maybe it will for you
][ pop some eyedrops beforehand
][ if you wanna get up an move around, and ur parents are the type to come in and ask why u arent asleep, just say u could not sleep

I can blaze all day and not worry, but they'll both be home upstairs or something so I just use a homemade bong because it's quick and I can stash it if someone comes down or something.

Both my parents smoke ganj but they still don't want me to blaze cause I'm not 18 yet. They said once I'm 18 though I can blaze whenever I went wherever I want, and even said they'd smoke with me.

But I'm lucky because they go to bed early everynight, usually like 8:30-9:30 PM is when they go to bed so I get a good full night of blazing and chilling to myself.

Yeah hate when my parents stay up late =\ Shit sucks. They always know I'm downstairs on the computer, so it would be weird if I went upstairs early and just hung out haha

Oh well, college soon :)

My parents stay up late on the couch just chilling, and I have a small house so smoking with them awake anywhere is hard because they walk around. First off smoking a joint isn't ideal, it creates alot of smoke, hit the pipe or the bong instead. Try following these steps next time...
1. prepare everything in stages so if somebody walks in your not stuck there with everything sprawled out
2. think of a good place to stash it if you have to in a hurry
3. turn on some music not too loud, but enough to cover some noise
4. open a window or leave a window open
5. take long slow hit, cover the bowl with something and finish hitting it through so it doesn't leave smoke
6. go to window blow out smoke
7. take deep breath through nose, out through mouth out the window

There are all the steps I take when smoking in the house with my parents awake and moving around, even at night when its quiet.

Here's a trick someone taught me awhile back. Use a bowl and right before you're done with your hit, cover it with a matchbook or something to put it out and hold it there for a second. No smoke will go in the air. Also, take small enough hits so when you blow it out, little to no smoke should come out of your mouth. That's the beauty of smoking and conserving our wonderful little gift of mary jane. You want as little smoke to go in the air as possible, because it's not true that whatever smoke you blow out already has the THC gone. And any smoke that you see going up in the air is money. All your money is going up in smoke and you're wasting it. But if you really don't wanna have to worry about smoke, just take some E, it'll mellow you out alot more =P

Yeah I feel the same. I can smoke when my parents are still up but I like it when they have gone to bed and I can get high and just do whatever I want without people blagging me. They stay up drinking till like 1am sometimes and it pisses me off because they are hella annoying when drunk and if they try to talk to me when im high it kills my buzz cause of there stupid drunkeness.

haha i know how you feel too. Mine are usually in their room by midnight.

its always a risk though. cant wait for college to start.

turn on the shower rlly hot so thers a lot of steam then just open window and smoke out of it the smell will go away real quik cus of all the steam

^^ and turn on the exhaust fan

Or just Jamaican Hotbox it. Steam up the place with the tub and the faucets on hot, towel under the door, windows shut, exhaust fan off. and BURN. You get uber ripped.

and if you dont wanna do that, just beat off to pass the time by or something i guess, i usually have a less paranoid high when my parents are asleep rather than when they can walk into my room at any minute.

Unfortunately, I know that I can't smoke indoors. I used to, when my room was on the top floor and theirs was below me. Theoretically, that should improve the situation, because heat travels upwards and pot smoke is hot. However, they told me they could smell it.

I did everything; I used a pipe, I covered up the excess smoke, I blew the smoke into a doob tube filled with bounty sheets and I blew it into an exhaust fan out the window. They still smelled it.

I tried smoking in the shower, with the exhaust fan on. That smelled so bad it woke them up.

My parents know the smell of pot very well, unfortunately.

So far, what I have been doing, is that I tell them I'm going to bed early, then I sneak out my window, which is at ground level. I barely fit through it, and if they ever look at it they will notice I removed the screen, but other than that, it works great. It requires very strong biceps to climb out of that thing, but its nice, because then I can just walk down to the park and smoke a bowl.

If I wanna smoke and some1's around I go to the shower and hit the gravity bong, you turn the exhaust fan on (doesn't help much but does) and when you are done turn the hot water up till the room goes white from steam, then turn the cold water on and wait... If when the steam is gone you can still smell anything do the same again, no1 smells anything at my house anymore... ;):stoned:

I have the opposite problem, it is summer so my daughter is staying up way too late for me to get a good long session in.
