If you can, go to an Agway dealer instead and get the composted cow manure with humus and mix it 30-50% with perlite.
The manure/humus is only $2.50 for 40lbs and pH buffered beautifully.
The perlite is I think $17 for a bag the size of ME. lol it's HUGE. You can get smaller ones too obviously.
I use this soil from seed to harvest. You can add different things at different life stages too if you like, but you don't have to. For example you can add a little bone meal if you are potting into flower.
pro-mix home depot
I strongly recommend adding some extra perlite to promix too. It is very helpful.
Agway dealer??? can i go to like a landscaping place that sell multch and shit will they have that ??
Agway - Farm Products
Type in your zip code in the top right corner to find a dealer. I just tried mine and got 3 locations within about a half hour of my house, including one a mile away.
But yeah they will have something like it, the most important part is the composted HUMUS because that is what does the bulk of the pH buffering.
im using peat humus rightnow though i hear the peat is not so good...why is that...thanks btw
test the pH- it may be quite low.
Also, peat holds quite a bit of water and I have found it a difficult medium to work with effectively.
But some peeps love their pro-mix!! Note that it is already limed before packaging.
i dont have a soil ph tester only water
get some liquid indicator. MOST problems a grower will face require knowledge of the pH to properly fix... might as well start off on the right foot... although AAARGH the whole point of that agway shit is to avoid all that mucking about!!!!!
do you mean you add NO nutrients? is this outside?Quote:

no no you add your regular liquid fertilizer, but you can also add organic soil amendments, which are optional indoors.
i currently use the micro from the GH 3 part in my soil grow, but as for the others, honestly i don't see why not, and if one of the experts can chime in on this it owuld be good... there's no reason that I am aware of not to use the GH stuff.
really so i can use it in soil what measurments the same as in hydro or what??
i just said i didnt know man...
i thought u said you use it my bad
would miracle-grow soil be any good? i know its good soil for other plants but would weed benefit from this type of soil/feed?
I am on my first grow and I am using mg potting mix. you will get it to grow but I don't know how much better it does then others. I can tell you this much it dose not have any pertilite in it at all. I just got some. I have been reading over post and the faqs and it all says to use that .... But I stoped at my local home depot today and I seen that have a composted cow manure with humus organic there with pertilite bags too. I am going to get that when I start my next grow.
miracle gro soil- ive seen people use it, but you are going to have a really hard time gauging your fert regimen singe it is preferted and you are virtually guaranteed to end up with burns or lockouts somewhere along the line.
