If you can, go to an Agway dealer instead and get the composted cow manure with humus and mix it 30-50% with perlite.

The manure/humus is only $2.50 for 40lbs and pH buffered beautifully.

The perlite is I think $17 for a bag the size of ME. lol it's HUGE. You can get smaller ones too obviously.

I use this soil from seed to harvest. You can add different things at different life stages too if you like, but you don't have to. For example you can add a little bone meal if you are potting into flower.

I strongly recommend adding some extra perlite to promix too. It is very helpful.

    Agway - Farm Products

Type in your zip code in the top right corner to find a dealer. I just tried mine and got 3 locations within about a half hour of my house, including one a mile away.

But yeah they will have something like it, the most important part is the composted HUMUS because that is what does the bulk of the pH buffering.

test the pH- it may be quite low.
Also, peat holds quite a bit of water and I have found it a difficult medium to work with effectively.
But some peeps love their pro-mix!! Note that it is already limed before packaging.

get some liquid indicator. MOST problems a grower will face require knowledge of the pH to properly fix... might as well start off on the right foot... although AAARGH the whole point of that agway shit is to avoid all that mucking about!!!!!
