So because these bands are underground they are better? And to the person that mentioned ICP, well, they suck. I heard a song with them on it and made it terrible. Talking about stabbing people with chainsaws, talking about being as sick as Lou Gherig. Sounds like Eminem's early lyrics, except they're just trying to be goth rather than thug.
If you want some decent underground hiphop, listen to Atmosphere, Murs, Canibus, Aesop Rock, El-P, Aesop Rock, Jedi Mind Tricks, a few songs by the Unknown Prophets, Brother Ali aint bad, MF Doom, etc.
If you're into mainstream, but are tierd of the same damn bands (club music, etc), listen to Three6 Mafia, Lil Wyte, or Project Pat. Not completely mainstream, but same style for some part. VERY good music.
I don't really understand the whole wigger revolution. I go to highschool and yeah, I do see people trying to be black. Let them do what they want. They aren't just trying to be black because Eminem is, it's just their style. I haven't heard the term "wigger" since the seventh grade. Please grow up.
(P.S. I'm not Goth, I'm not a wigger, I'm not a prep, or any of that. I'm my own style, yet a conformist. I love rap, underground hip hop, classic rock, and any music that I like. Bob Dylan is my hero. :) )

I've listened to a bit of DJ Shadow (don't really remember his musics), and Lyrics Born aint that bad from what I've heard. That's about it from them. I'm not really so much into underground hip hop any more, I've just been listening to a mix of Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Three Six Mafia, Project Pat, Lil Wyte, some ZZ Top, just kind of lax music. Haven't really been listening to too much hip hop other than Aesop Rock and El-P for now.
If anyones into techno or any of that kind of music, check out The Faint. They're a good band, not sure what to call them though. It's like techno... or trance... or electronic, or something, but with lyrics! I used to listen to them all the time. Check out their album Danse Macabre.

I like a few KMK songs and a few ICP songs, but i hate eminem with a passion... Other than that, i dont wanna hurt anybody's feelings or anything, but i do not think of rap as music. I hate how its one continuos drum line throughout the entire fuckin song, and frankly i think it's talentless bullshit. but don't get me wrong here, i like freestylers, i think that's one of the coolest things if you can come up with that shit on the spot... that's talent.
But... this is my opinion...
Personally i like rock, my favorites are TOOL, Metallica, Nirvana, Tom Petty, Sublime... I beleive that TOOL's music is almost perfect, songs that are so complex and well composed. I have great respect for all the great drummers, guitarists and singers out there because i play guitar and drums and sing, and i know how much of a pain in the ass it is to learn to play that well... even though i suck... lol...

KMK are very good. I saw them in concert in 98 and bought thier CD then. But to many of my friends stole it from me and I hate buying a CD for the fourth time so I just stopped listening to them. Do they still make songs like Bong token alcholic and dog's life. If so I will most likely get back into them. Some where I say some body talk about the rapper canibus. Just in case you didn't know he joined the army and is know over in Iraq. So I don't think we will be hearing much new music from him. I love Sublime. My wife loves Sublime. We love them so much we got married on the same day Bradley got married on and we named our dog lou. When I have a boy I plan on nameing him Bradley.

While I have noticed the majority of stoners do listen to punk rock/hard rock much more than they do Rap and Hip-Hop. I however, listen to Eminem and am a huge fan of his (Unlike the majority of people here). What basis do you have to call him a homophobe? Especially since you haven't listened to any of his fucking songs. ICP isn't that great.... KMK... I don't think is good at all... shit in my books the only band comparing up to Eminem's greatness is TOOL.

ICP sucks. Period. I listened to a few more songs. They're worse than Eminem's older music. I've noticed alot of people mentioning Tool, and I'm not really into that band, but I heard the song Aenema, and I did like it alot. However, I don't really think they would be considered one of the best bands of all time. To me, I'd say Bob Dylan is the greatest artist of all time. :cool:
And please, neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever say wigger ever again.
