mmm mmm, lookin good! both of yas :D
[QUOTE=Weedhound;
The second one is the church. This plant has struggled quite a bit....first due to the ph issues which seemed to hit it MUCH harder than the CC and then it also did not do as well under the new light for quite a while. Seemed MUCH more sensitive to the mh light than the cc but I have no idea how much of that was (or is) ph related.....if at all.
Both the Church I did were in soil Sis. none in hydro , mine were / are way uglier than that ? Fussy ? Light feeders ? - Who knows ? Don't feel obligated by any means but I'd be real interested if the plant looks the same as my 2 dirt Church plants in the end . It's suposed to be "SuperSkunk x Swiss Sativa x Northernlights" . It's a pretty plant even when mistreated -> pics .

Those buds are going to thicken up like crazy, I can't wait to see a week before harvest
Hope the weather isn't going to get in the way of your trip Mark. Been hearing about some icy messes your way.
Thanks for the great comments everyone. It's always fun to make improvements in the system and see the benefits.
I must say I AM surprised at how dense and large these buds have the potential to get....quickly. I've had 2 times in the last week that the lighting has been screwed up due to power outages so I'm going to spray with Reverse today. This is the first time I've used it this way (I've already done the first 2 sprays) but have heard good results from folks who use it later so figured I'd give it a try. After the seeds appeared in my Master Kush......despite the fact that that turned out to be a GREAT thing....I'd like to make sure that doesn't happen here. ;)
I've smoked lots of Master Kush last few years, a commercial grower friend usually does some ... first time I've seen it, though, ... was pretty potent, but gave me BAD munchies ... because of the body-stone and munchies, I just assumed it was indica-dominant, but wasn't sure ...
Actually Reaper thats what you get for paying attention. You also have a good eye...you're right that that plant is more sativa than MK usually is....it's actually a sour northern lights x nevilles haze. Your mistake was to assume my thread title was correct......ITS NOT!! :D That's because I suck...AND I need to start a new grow log.....:(
Speaking of.....what do you think of the buzz from the MK Reaper? Good, bad, none? I'd love to get folks who've tried it opinions.
Weather's supposed to be fine here, high 50's to 60 or so..Not sure about denver or detroit though...Hopefully it wont be too bad there..flight delays suck ass..they fuck everything up..when it's all on a minute by minute schedule any delay is no good..can't wait to get up there though :)Quote:

the potency of my friend's Master Kush was pretty good, the best I had available at that time (2-3 years ago, my guess) ... evidently, its a big yielder, I think thats why he chose it, anyway ... I see references to 'MK' all the time, never realized it meant Master Kush :D ... P.S., I can route Markass, if he'd like (retired trucker) ...Quote:

reaper, I've got worded instructions, but I'd feel a lot better having all of the roads in each state printed with my route through them to give me a visual sense too..thanks a lot though bro :thumbsup:Quote:

Weedy- I'm thru most days- I just don't always log in unless I have something to say...
( Board hates TOR- it wants to associate a login w/ an IP address, unless you let it set a cookie, and I don't let anybody set cookies, as anybody can read them- so every time my IP changes, which is a whole lot, I have to log in again, or I have to exit thru a static IP... )
But if I can be helpful, just let me know- seems like you've had this under control
Wow WH...the plants look really nice:thumbsup:
I can't wait to see that Power Plant flowering...
I'm afraid you have a bit of a wait Zeb....it just popped its skin today. In fact both seeds did and will probably go into the setup tomorrow.
So I spent Thursday flushing the system with the SNL x NH's I emptied everything out of the res, put in some Florakleen and ran it for 24 hours. Got about 200 ppm back.....starting with about 50. I honestly thought there would be more because the taller plant ESPECIALLY is starting to get some fairly serious k def spots going on. :( The other plant has the problem to a much lesser degree and (so far....) it doesn't seem to be anything to worry about in that plant. And while it may be my imagination but these fert buildup problems seems MUCH more prevelant in the sativa mixes I've grown vs the indica dominant ones and these days I AM being seduced  more and more by the sativa varieties so I would love to solve the issue once and for all. What I need is the perfect medium and I just can't find it.
I'm figuring there is at least three more weeks to go so I'm hoping this flush will hold them until the last week or so.
I also turned the cotton candy and church to 12/12 as well/first Reverse dose. The church has bounced back VERY nicely which I'm attributing to a more stable ph these days and is looking much better. :)
WH- I've been reading both of these logs for about two hours (smoking on some MK that a friend harvested a few weeks ago ironicly) and I have got to say those are some nice plants there brotha Did you get the clone thing worked out? Or am I just that out of the loop and I missed it somewhere?
We all want to see some pics of the new plants too, that Power Plant sounds prettttty tantalizing. Will they be getting their own log?
WH, can you snap a couple of pics of the K def and post them up? I wanna see what it looks like on your plants. I need to learn this aspect of growing much better since it kicked my butt last grow.
I'll try and grab a couple photos today MVP....if unable I'll definitely get them up by tomorrow. It's a very interesting pattern on the leaves and having seen it I'm now able to recognize it easily.....especially in it's earlier stages.
Hi Gixxer, thanks for stopping by the log. What ended up happening with my MK plant is that instead of clones she made me some seeds from the strain I wanted to save which was even BETTER for me. Stinky calls it "backing up the genetics onto seed form" and that's pretty much it......little databases of the genetics waiting to pop so I can enjoy the MK again since I REALLY like that strain. :D
What do you think of the MK Gixxer?
Ok...starting with a couple photos of a leaf up close.....front and back. I didn't shrink these MVP so you can look closely at them.
This leaf is from the largest plant which is also more sativa-ish imo. The problem seems to have halted (so far......) after the flushing the other day.
Keep in mind that I actually flushed them twice in the last week so I ended up getting out a total of about 400ppm extra ferts altogether.
A couple close pics of the leaves still on the plant. One photo shows a fair amount of affected leaves (second photo) while the first shows a section of the plant barely having any symptoms at all. Think I introduced those backwards...:stoned: The pattern seems to follow where the oscillating fan blows but even not using the fan (due to cooler weather) doesn't actually stop the issue so I'm not quite sure what role the fan plays there although I'm positive it plays a role somewhere.
If you look at the third photo....as a whole the plant seems quite healthy and grows as if it's as happy as a clam.
I didn't get a photo of the entire plant but it seems MUCH less affected by everything than the other one. Several sections of this plant show that pattern of leaves.....again on the leaves most often hit by the fan. However, this plant with it's much more indica characteristics generally seems extremely healthy and you have to look fairly close to even find some leaves with the def pattern on them. If you just glance at the plant you really don't notice it at all so it doesn't worry me on this girl as much as the other.
That looks exactly like the early stages of the nute def I experienced before it took over my MKs and the other girls. I know that the CalMag was necessary too (CA def), so I am learning here!Quote:

Thank you for all the nice comments, Jay, Smokens and Smokey and thanks for stopping by the log. :)
Merry Christmas EVERYONE!!! :madnoel: :areindeer: :madnoel:
Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to Weedhound and her pack.
Shov
yah she looks real nice.
Hy Weedhound...
i love your plants, they look really good 'n healthy and awesome buds...
Will the PowerPlant get her own log???
Merry Christmas to you !!!!
Even though it's Christmas Day and I should have more important things to be doing.....but I don't. :D
I JUST DISCOVERED that after flushing my SNL x NH's the ph has stabilized in my system to just about no shift to 0.2in 24 hours I have NEVER had my plants stay that stable this late in flower.....they're growing like monsters!
This next grow (the CC and Church) I will start a new log and am going to flush these puppies regularly and see what....if any....difference regular flushing of the system makes.
Weedhound looking very nice there!!!
I am a soil grower though. Maybe someday in the future I will go to the darkside as Stinky puts it.
Again nice work and Merry Chrismas!
The darkside ROCKS Jerry. :D
Well since my flushing I can honestly say two things.....the ph has become much more stable and AGAIN the k def seems to have stopped. I assume the key here is *regular* flushing of the system in order to keep things in top shape.
We also had a "planned power outage" yesterday that lasted for several hours while PGE worked on something. Now, may I say that I had a LOT of warning that this was going to happen......and PLENTY of time to get things in order so I have NO real excuse for blowing it and AGAIN having ANOTHER light screw up. BUT I DID. :wtf: I'm just 7 weeks in today so am wondering whether or not to spray some Reverse.....this will be time number four. I'll have to think about it.
you crack me up! :S2:Quote:

I think once you have them reversed, it would be really difficult, even for you, to get hermied.
nice stuff, Weedie
You know Rock I never even thought about that stuff until my last grow when my MK's popped out a few seeds....(14 good ones to be exact....i already threw one into some water and it cracked ;)) and now all of a sudden I am completely paranoid about it with visions of seeds rolling out of the room in piles....:D i'm used to up to two light screw ups with my normal use of Reverse and usually don't get more light f' ups than that....this grow I've had tons. They're close enough to finish that I don't think it will hurt even if a few nanners do pop up but the noid in me.....
Thanks. :)Quote:
