The Orphanage.
When I was ten my parents went away for the weekend and I stayed at my friend Larrys house...Larry was a year older than me...We busted his moms chops,(Lucy,RIP,a real cool lady),for a couple of hours to take us to see the Exorcist...
I hung tough, but that was the most scared I've ever been at a movie in my entire life...
If you get a chance, check out Exorcist 3,a movie that didn't get much play but so much scarier than most of the stuff they put out today...:420thought:
Mine? id have to say the video of my birth, YUCK man.. Some shit parents shouldn't show they're kids.Quote:

I've been meaning to check out Session 9, and The Orphanage
... Also really wanna see Mirrors
The Shining and The Thing are classics, the remake of Red Dragon was pretty damn creepy, one that isnt mentioned a lot is 1 hour photo with robn williams, he actually does a good job and the movie really gets to you
I don't find blood and gore scary at all. When I think of scary movies, Poltergiest 2 comes to mind. I was probably only 10 or 11 when I first sawt this and the movie still sends chills up my spine. The old man is fd up.
More recently, I thought The Ring was really creepy. The colors and the camera effects gave it a really eerie feeling.
It's not the scariest movie ever but i saw the strangers and i liked it, worth a watch imo. The sound effects and tension are awesome.
I'm a huge HELLRAISER fan...though they might not be that scary they are really good films at least the first 2 of them, maybe even part 3... I stopped watching after 5 came out, lame as shit after part 3.....
IMHO most American films in the Horror genre concentrate too much on gore as the catalyst for fear...Since we are so desensitized to violence these days those images don't resonate fear in us like they used to...
If you want to be scared by a film look for Asian Horror, the Japanese and Korean's make some awesome horror, They have what I call the "Creep Factor" where they don't use as many gore tactics as American Film makers, they are far more creepier....
Here are a few flix I like:
HELLRAISER 1 & 2
PHANTASAM
OLD BOY-(KOREAN)
JU-ON-(JAPANESE)
MASTER'S OF HORROR - DREAMS IN A WITCH HOUSE
ROSEMARY'S BABY
sorry too stoned to remember any more
D:thumbsup:
a little off the question but theres a new horror movie coming out January 9th and it looks pretty good
The Unborn (2009)
The Shining, not much stuff scares me anymore but this did...when I was younger lots of other films did.
lol, when I watched the Shining my friend had seen it before and he mentioned the bit where the guy in a bear suit is giving someone head or something and cos it happens late in the film he was so scared it wasn't gonna happen and he'd look nuts :D
Oh yeh also Ed Gein was a weird ass film...
