Pet Cemetery, The Shining, or The Thing
Stephen King's IT... totally fucked my head up when i was 6 or 7... watched it on T.V. on accident...
Being older it doesn't bother me anymore though.
As far as Blair Witch and all this other crap, that's not scary..
i'm sorry.
The other older movie's mentioned are also good choices.
Also i have reason to believe you are more scared when your actually at the Movies.. renting it on dvd and watching it in your house makes it less scary. But still can be scary.
Differn't things scare differn't people.
I would think the majority of the people would be scared the most of something that can actually happen to them.
I am currently writing a movie and will be directing it in the next year or two that exactly goes in that direction... It can happen to anyone. Very original work.
To comment, i do personally think 28 Days Later was done very well. Danny Boyle did a very good job on that film. All the older "classics" as good aswell.
But i am still awaiting that one move that really does it... and i am sure most of the world is also... It will come though, just be patient. I am still working on it
No, way Cheezburger girl's old thread. .....Kool......
Scaryest movie I seen lately was that new paris hilton movie. I got drug into a movie on a date, when i saw paris I was like oh shit grabed my date and said "we gotta go". She said why its supposed to be scary. I said "Im scared shitless thats why were going to see Rambo again".
i'd say 1408 made me jump a few times and Mr.Brooks is not terribly scary but very excellent movie i loved it best i seen in a while
Scariest movie ever would have to be a ...real one...
Cannibal Holocaust
Cannibal Holocaust - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Its a documentary filmed in the amazon rainforest.
It has footage of women being raped by huge sharp rocks... and real animal slaughters and shit
its so fucked up
I've tried to watch it two different times and have never watched more than 10 minutes of it.
"the director, Deodato, was arrested on obscenity charges. He was later accused of making a snuff film because rumors claimed some actors were killed on camera. Although Deodato was later cleared, the film was banned in Italy, the UK, Australia, and several other countries due to graphic gore, sexual violence, and because six animals were killed on camera."
I'd say stuff like
The Shining
The Strangers
Movies like The Descent and 28 Days Later gave me a good fright
Since I was a small child, I've never understood how other humans can experience fear or fright from watching a movie.
If I had to pick one movie that indicates great concern for our well-being in real life, the movie I choose is the documentary Jesus Camp.
The Grudge gave me the shudders.
