Better to come late than not at all.
GreenLady, I have read these boards. You couldn't even hold a candle for morons to run by. You are fine. MidgetMary is where it's at!

slap my ass and call me suzie. I would never have suspected!
*schmack!*
dammit suzie!
this is pretty cool to see on here. i did something similar to this but in a 1oz. plastic cup so i could drain.had a 1ft tall bean plant in it with about 6 bean pods. Good luck everyone.
Foxy, can you guide me through root trimming?
NEver done it. But from what I understand, don't prune off much at one time... good luck... go ask around the bonsai forums over at gardenweb.
Thx hun!
Right on Chrissy.:hippy:
Damn, if I could get any of these beans to pop I'd join in. But it's all old badseed my buddy found in the back of a drawer so who knows how long they've been sitting there. I can't get any of them to germ.
Any time babeQuote:

I'm gonna use some bagseed that I am just finishing up my first test grow of, 3 of the 4 plants I have are lookin' happy and dense, with one plant with these strange airy buds, but whatever...
I'm thinking about using a tall skinny shot glass to give the taproot more room to grow vertically. It's still 1.5 oz but it looks bigger (I've done the taste test).
HT, using the same one. As long as the actual size is the same, you're golden.
Sweetness. Just put 2 beans in their germination chamber (papertowel & ziploc) and we'll check on em in the morning.
Here's the kids. I neglected to water them for a bit so they don't look terribly wonderful, but they're looking much better than they did two days ago.
My method so far - I started them on the windowsill as ungerminated seeds. After they sprouted, I tossed them in with my other plant which is on 12/12 right now. But the other plant has become far too large (even for itself), and I had to put em back on the window sill. Our days are pretty much 12/12 right now anyway, so I think they'll be fine. if they make it to flower at all, I'd be shocked!
I want to join the competition. Just waiting to get some seeds :D
Just planted one sprouted bagseed in a tall skinny shot glass, taped it up with aluminum tape, under the canopy of some plants in 12/12 for another 3 weeks, so after that who knows...I'm not rolling 750w for a bonzai plant, but I could put it in a window.
Ok just got some bagseed today im going to have to join in on this but i dont know if i have a shot glass!!!! !
How much bud do you expect to get out if this? (if any)
They might get a couple of grams of each! :)
here's an update on mine, I haven't been watering them religiously like I should, but no matter, they're not dead yet. lol
I'll be in soon too.
I already trimmed her roots once, now I need to do it again. She's a rooty ho. I kinda neglected her a bit, as I did all my plants. Didn't seem to do her much harm though. A bit of yellowing, but I think that's because I need to trim the roots. SupahDupah Thrive is where it's at.
whoa......lol.....:DQuote:

good luck i seen on anouther forum the end pics of a grow like this the guy not only grew in a 1oz pot but had a few other sized pots 16oz he didn't keep track of yeild thou but for the pot sizes the plant's look to have a good yeild for the amount of root space
well guys, being that my op is down and out, i feel i can restart my competition grow. i'll be germing a bean in a shot glass. no clones, my moms are all dead...
so, i'm starting over, pix when i'm done planting, pix when it sprouts.
Hey Primus. Yeah, it was hard. I used a plastic butter knife, and ended up actually just tearing some roots. Then I plopped some more dirt in. She doesn't seem any the worse for wear though.Quote:

Yeah, I kinda just have it off to the side. I have an eye on it but I am not stressing it. It was going though a little heat stress where I first had it, but now it's good. . .
Im excited to see the outcome
How many peeps are still in this?
Mine is having a tuff time. . .
but look I got one in a glass too.
lol did everyone just quit or something?
heh, looks that way :(
