First CFL bagseed grow

Ok I snapped a few photos of my fav indica plant , in the process I broke a side branch off my "finicky bitch indica" plant she has so many branches though I couldnt even notice. Its ok though I decided to make a clone out of the branch I broke. I do like how that finicky plant smells though it actaully has the best smell out of all three of my plants , sorta like orange peels mixed with pine forest. So I wont mind making a clone of her ,lol. Hopefully It clones ok since the plants already in flower , but hey I wasnt about to just throw the branch away.

Been having all kinds of thoughts for the future of my grows , I am truly considering getting a 1000watt hps and a light rail down the road along with a 9 bucket dwc setup. Also on my list of things I want is a camera with a super good macro thats not too costly. But for now this 400watt hps is gonna work just fine.

Im working on my stealth veg cabinet and also gonna bite the bullet and buy a 6" vortex fan soon (dang they sure are expensive lol) and im building a carbon filter/cool tube. Ive got alot going on but once I get my setup "dialed in" my grows should come out even better.

Oh yea and my plants are now on day 12 of flowering!!!

Everything looks really gorgeous! We probably should get together a few weeks after our harvests and share our finished beauties, lol ha ha. I love the stage you are in right now. I personally am a flower lover and find this paticular stage very beautiful and photogenic....see my avatar...!

Edit: the cheapest I found a vortex was at maryland hydro. You don't have to pay sales tax there( I'm sure you found a slightly cheaper one at planlighting, but price it out, maryland is the better price after shipping and all) I got Vortex six inch 449 for my 800w...:jointsmile: B

That is a good price for a 6in vortex , bghydro is $10 more expensive. Do they ship fast/plainbox? I'll post a more few photos of my plants later tonight prolly.

Bree1978 hellooo stranger! I know they are flowering pretty well; even the sativa dom plant is flowering at a good rate. Im glad I took clones off these plants.

thats a nice grow man i would never have the patience to grow out a sativa, it kills me as it is.

tell me....how do you like this 400watt light? would you have rather gone to a 600 instead?

im trying to figure out what i want for my next light, i thinking of going the 600 route but tat worries me a tad so im thinking a 400, dammit.

invision thanks; I like the 400watt hps alot I got a great deal on it at htgsupply it was less then $150 (with the bulb+reflector) , but I can see myself upgrading to a couple 600watt or a 1000watt in the future (ill prolly get a dual 600watt for more even light distrabution, plus about 50k extra lumens over a 1000watt). I think a 600 is a good choice for lumen/wattage ratio , it all depends on how much penetration/yeild you want really. Im really happy with how my plants are doing under the 400watt hps. Also the bigger the light the more heat you got to deal with so it depends on what your looking for. But you prolly know all this already lol.

I have been working on my ventalation system as it is ghetto at the moment (but gets the job done for the most part) but I found a nice diy stanley blower mod that will solve my ventalation problems. Will prolly post pics when its completed. Its going to be a cooltube/blower/carbon filter with all diy parts. Going to walmart to pic up the blower tommorow. I was gonna get a $150 vortex , but a $40 stanley blower and $10 worth of parts to mod it seems like a great deal to me, and ive seen people cooling 1000watts+ with these diy blowers on forums (even running them though carbon filters) and still being able to keep things cool. So after I mine set up let you all know how its working.

Just a heads up, that blower will be super loud (unless you build a sound muffling box which I have seen on here). Personally I need to be stealth and that is why I chose the Vortex. Even with it being much quieter than a standard bathroom fan, I still built a sound muffling box.....

Bree hey I picked up the blower before I read your comment; the blower does make some noise but its not very loud at all. Once I get the ducting and carbon filter on it it should be pretty quiet. It puts out alot more air then I thought It would and for $40 bucks I couldnt beat the price. It will be able to cool the hps in the cooltube and filter air though the carbon filter no problems once I mod it to be able to work with ducting. (also if it ever breaks walmart with replace it lol ;walmart owns!)

Here is a pic of my blower for those who are curious. Ill post pics of it tomm after It is modded to work with ventalation ducting also.

Thanks bro I have been real busy and its been cool out here so I havent set up the fan yet but will in the next day or so. My plants are looking good and I swear my 2 indicas are smelling more and more like northern lights every day , there buds are starting to get a deep danky piney smell. I wonder if there is any nl in there lineage.

And tell us how loud it is please. I saw they have one at Wally's here in town and the price is definetly right at under 40 bucks. I can't spend 100+ bucks on an inline and I think I might smoke out the biggest PC fans I have if I add the 150watt HPS.

The sound isnt loud at all dizzy , it makes less noise then a box fan. Plus it has three speed settings and with a 150watt low/medium speed would probally work fine and low speed is really quiet.

trust me no ones fan is louder than mine, you walk in this room and your like..."dude what the fuck is that"?

one day i will have to do something about this and thankfully i dont let to many people in the house.

Hehe, back a few years ago I got into something called overclocking. You do this to a computer to make it run faster. (very undetailed explanation, I'm saving you all ;) ) Anyway, back in the "day" you either used water or high powered PC fans to cool the processor. I went the air route, In my PC case were (4) delta "Black Label" 60mm fans that spit out about 55-60db of high pitched motor and air noise each. You'd think the computer case was going to hover. And you could hear it when you walk in the front door of the house. Boy I mis those days... not.

Anyway, that fan you got sounds like a winner in my book, if this home made 120mm inline fan thing I'm making doesn't do well, I'm getting it.

Heres few random pictures of my girls at day 24 of flower first a couple of my fav indica , then a couple of my finicky girl , then a pic of the sativa. As u can see the heat stress my girl had from it being too warm thats why I had to upgrade the ventalation. Well she seems to be fine other then a few fan leaves that are gonna fall off. The heat didnt affect the finicky indica or the sativa just my fav girl but shes recovering so I dont think there will be much harm from it.
