First CFL bagseed grow
Hello everyone, I am starting a grow log. First since I have been reading these forums for a while (but not posting) I have to give everyone props, there is alot of knowledge in these forums. I been smoking since the early 90's , and have done a few outdoor grows with success back in the 90's.
This is my first indoor grow and first grow in around 8 years, So im a little rusty but am learning alot quickly.
The seeds im using are bagseed for my first grow (I didnt want to kill good beans), but its good quality bagseed. I plan on ordering some better beans (Mandala's Hashberry, Female Seeds ICE and Joey weeds Sugar Blossom or Cinderella 99) for future grows.
I sprouted 4 seeds and they cracked January 1st , even at the first set of true leaves I could tell 3 were Indica dominant , 1 was Sativa Dominant. They are growing under two 6500k 26 watt CFL's. The setup is a little ghetto but it is serving its purpose. Ventalation is provided by a playstation 2 fan. The soil is
walmarts expert gardener with extra perlite added.
Here they are about 7 days old.r00tdoctor Reviewed by r00tdoctor on . First CFL bagseed grow Hello everyone, I am starting a grow log. First CFL bagseed grow
After they got around month old there seemed to be a problem the plants seemed to stop growing and were very light green to yellow with some browning, at first I thought the ph could be off but it was fine, I had been giving them half doses of some old ass peters fertilizer (Later I found out 5 year old peter's fertilizer!).I was about to give up on them and throw them away...
Well I had a brain storm an realised the fertilizer was the problem. So i picked up some expert gardener all-purpose 28-8-16 fert at walmart. Within 3 days the plants were showing much improvement after a week they were starting to look healthy and new growth was happening in places leaves fell off at.
About 37 days old
(pics of them at after 1 week of good fert)

First CFL bagseed grow
Now after around 22 days of good fert (2 feedings of half strenght fert/1 day water) The plants are starting to look really healthy again. (exept one but ill explain more about that later)It is amazing how well the plants responded once I gave them good fertilizer. And how badly they responded to bad fertilizer.About a week ago I transplanted them out of those tiny cups into 1 liter containers. The plants were really root bound but the roots were all nice and white so at least I know the roots were healthy. ( I will plant them into 2-3 gallon containers when I flower them in another grow chamber )
About 52 days old taken yesterday.

The 3 plants plants are all showing female preflowers ,two Indica dominant and the sativa dominant.
The one I call the 'finicky indica bitch' is having problems ever since she was small her leaves get brown spots on them and even after the fert change it still is hapenning even though shes alot healthier now. Also her leaves are curling under and slightly curling around the edges.
The other Indica dominant thats female is growing like a champ and I plan on taking cuttings from her for clones before I flower. Those two both smell alot! like a mixture of skunk, fruit and pine trees lol!
The other Indica dominant plant im not sure but I think it is a male
But hey 3 out of 4 plants female aint that bad after all , lol...
So far I have stressed these plants out quite a bit , so ill be glad if they produce any buds whatever.
For flowering I plan on give each plant 2 squre feet in 2-3 gallon pots, with two 26watt 6500k CFL's, and six 26 watt 2700k CFL's per plant for a total of 208watts of CFL per plant.
Any help/advice would be appreciated , expecially about the 'finicky bitch' plant who keeps getting brown spots on her leaves , shes not yellowing just keeps getting patches of brown spots on her leaves. Here is a pic of her see halfway down the plant the large brown spot on her leaves, she gets those quite often. They start off as a small patch of small brow dots then grow until eventually the leaf dies. Sorry for the photo quality my camera takes crap pictures up close.

Thanks Mrs. Greenjeans, I wasnt sure if I would even get a female or even a living plant with the stress I gave them early on. I use a jewler's magnifer to see the preflowers so im sure the 3 are definetly girls with lil white haires commin out the preflowers. I been reading your grow thread its making me laugh, especially when you said "I glanced over at lily and there was her little pube". lol...

LOL! I'm so goofy sometimes. Well, most of the time actually.
I had a finicky plant that turned out to be male. I still don't know what his problem was, only that the other plants never exhibited the same symptoms. Have you checked for mites?

I havent seen any mites, I did have a problem with fungus nats for a while but i cured that by letting the soil dry out more and putting a venus fly trap and pitcher plant in the box lol... I dont want to just trash the finicky plant, because she is a female but I wont be making any clones of her.

Right now there in a cramped 1 ft length by 1 ft width x 2 sq ft high box with two 26 watt 6500k CFL's.
Soon (within the next week or so) they will be given a bigger space and more light 1.5 ft length by 1.5 ft width x 3.5 sq ft height, and three 26 watt 2700k and two 6500k Cfl's per plant per plant ( 130 watts of CFL's per plant) Ill probally raise the ratio to six 26 watt 2700k , two 26 watt 6500k CFl ( 208 watts per plant) During mid flower.
Thanks ive had to will these plants back into health, sing to them , baby them lol. They were looking real bad so bad I didnt take any pictures of them during there near death , lol. The indica Dominant you see in the right hand side of all my day 52 pics is my favorite, And she already smells great, shes a female and I'll be making clones of her before I flower her.
The indica in the left hand side of the day 52 pics I think is a male but im hesitant to chop him/her down before I know for sure.
The other indica Outside the box in the day 52 pics is a female but is my trouble plant, no matter what I do for her she dosent like it, lol.
