So the first lot of ww's are nearing the end of their lives, only a couple of days before the chop, while i'm pretty happy with the grow I know I've made a few mistakes and can improve, I've got a few ideas where i've gone wrong but thought it would be interesting to ask all you guys an girls for your views, can you spot anything i've done wrong or you'd do differently? Any areas you think I should look at improving? Can you see any problems from the pics?
All comments are appreciated, i'll share my views with you in a few days, thanks!

This was a great grow, nice work mate....i can't wait to see the end product...
You used BioBizz nutes rite?? What you think about it, is it good, where there any problems?? I'm asking because i use BioCanna and it would be good to know which is better. Next year i think i gonna try to grow whit BioBizz nutes. Canna is good too, but maybe Bizz is better....
your grow looks amazin hudson, your gonna be pink-eyed for a long time with those sugared up buds!! im well interested in the dwc bubbler the growth on that clone is unbelievable, ive heard the dwc pots are alot of work i.e. constanly topping up the water/nutes,has this been the case with your dwc and are they pretty straightforward to use ?
p.s. you will be glad when you chop your buds to give some space to the bubblin beast lol
Cheers zeb, yeah i can't wait either, but funnily enough the smallest of the tops just happened to break  while i was moving pots around the flower room so i'll be able to have a preview of the bigger ones to come :DQuote:

Thanks reefer, yeah i'm gonna have a very relaxed couple of months with my stash :S5:Quote:

Couple pics of the bud that unfortunately broke off ;) It's in my drying box now. :D
still lookin good but there is one thing i work do differently.............................. move the plants to my house!!!!!!! hahahahaha lol very good job and dont go breakin any more nugs off:thumbsup:

Yo hudson wat up!!!! plants looking beautiful man. Send me some.
Ok everyone, i've chopped the smaller of the two widows  Gonna harvest the other in a couple more days so i got more of a couch lock. Took me quite a while to trim it, it was sooo sticky by the end my fingers were literally sticking together as tho i'd got glue o them :D
You can see in the pic this one's got 3 decent sized cola's there is another smaller one hiding behind one of the big ones believe it or not, but I allowed the others to grow above it so it didn't receive a lot of light.
I like how one of the buds is bending the stem over in the pic, looks like it's coz it's soo heavy, but in all honesty i think the stems are a bit weak coz they stretched too much being too tightly packed at the start of flower. :wtf:
Don't worry for all you pervs there's some close up action too :pimp:
Some more pics, another of a cola and one of the smaller buds below.
Oh and btw I had them in dark for 36 hours prior to cutting.
Dude, you already got me figured out! There is no doubt from these pictures of where this strains name came, eh? Trichome City, bro! I am very rarely left speechless, but....Quote:

hey man how tall are they or where they before u harvested them? looking to growing some soon and that could really help me with my grow box. thanks!
nice looking grow there man. my WW's are just about to poke through the rockwool so its still gonna me a while for mine but im anxiously awaiting a smoke, smell, effects report
hi hudson hows it goin, hopefully you can give us some updates and pics on that awesome oxypot you got on the go
Any tuturial instructions along with your pix's are so appreciated. Your pix pretty much tell the story alone, you are doing such a fantastic job. The plants lookd very good to me! Even though I am not experienced with these, from my vege gardens in the past, is my comparison and they are easy compared to this.
Know these are so much harder to grow and so much more effort than other grows! Lots of little details a tomato doesn't need!
so, all your comments, instructions and pix are going here with a golden imprint! Thanks a lot!:hippy:
Yeah i'm happy with the frostiness :D Thanks king :thumbsup:Quote:

To correct the problem with the temps being too high i only attach the drying box to the exhaust when lights are off, temps are 70F, 22c with RH at 40% when lights come on i move the drying box next door where it just sits with the lid up to allow more airflow. The air flow's been decreased in a couple of ways, inside the box where the exhaust blows in i've stuck in some card with a few holes cut out so the air gets diffused ( i think thats the right word lol) instead of blowing through in one big stream and I cut a hole in the lid so not all the air circulates through the buds buts escapes through the top.Quote:

I was gonna get a speed controller for the rvk but when i looked into getting a decent one that was gonna cost me the same as the new fan $70 so i figure the new fan is the better option for now since i can't do without a fan while my RVK is getting repaired/replaced. Oh anyway what i was saying is that the lower speed the TT exhausts at provides less airflow for the drying box so should slow the process a bit more too lol
I'm aiming for them to be dry in around 8-10 days then i can cure them in kilner jars for as long as the last till I get round to smoking them :smokebong:
Hey Tex, they're around two and a half feet, i LST'd them early on and that helped keep the height managable even tho i got quite a bit more strech than i should coz i had them packed in too tight early on. No probs! ;)Quote:

Hey orion thanks for the compliment, your grow will pass quicker than you think, don't seem long since mine first went in the soil ;) I'll have to have a look around at some smoke reports i've not really done one before  but there's still abit of time for it to cure before i can do a proper one.Quote:

It was getting too big in the tent and I had to find a way of getting it under control if i wanted to get anything else in the tent apart from just the oxy pot :what: so i decided i had to go with scrog, so i've built a screen out of some bits of timer and string, it measures 20"x12" and is 14" tall with 2.75"x2.25" holes. It was simple enough to build with the help of a jigsaw to cut the wood and a drill to make holes for the string and predrill where i was screwing it together (i split the first bit of wood i tried screwing and had to wait till the following day to go out and get the right sized drill ) But when i had all the right bits i'd say it only took an hour!
The hard part was getting the screen onto the lady, imagine trying to squeeze J-Lo's ass into Keira Knightley's jeans and you might understand my problem. (Or you might get side tracked and just dream about ass for the next 10 mins like i've just done :D) Anyway it took me over an hour to get the screen on but there were some casualties, i think i broke about 4 tops in the process :sadcrying but it couldn't be helped, thing was crazy  Reckon i've got about 14 of the 24 holes filled with shoots at the moment after about 2 weeks of 12/12, I know i probably won't fill any more gaps and i'm not utilizing the screen as effeciently as i should but my main reason for doing this was to keep it under control and i think it'll do that also i've learnt the importance of an even canopy and it should sort that problem for me too.
Glad you're enjoying the grow pain, i've tried giving as much info as i can without going over the top, although i do tend to ramble on at times :D Thanks for the kind words but i feel like i should have a disclaimer at this point lolQuote:

Here's a pic of the simple scrog screen i knocked up.
I've got some lithium batteries for the camera and they last ages so that's why i'm posting so many pics :D
Hmmmm.....:stoned:
Appreciate the pix of the scrog. Read all morning and didn't quite figure that to be what was being described, makes a great deal of sense now!
Hudson those plants are great, i've really enjoyed watching this grow those widows are frosty! How many g's dry do u think you'll have?

No problem, i'll try to get some pics up of the screen in place over the oxypot plant later, they've had a couple of days to adapt now and i've been able to make a couple of adjustments to get it looking something like i think a scrog should look lolQuote:

BTW there's probably loads of different ways of making scrog screens, i've seen them suspended from ceilings etc.
Hey Giro, been a while since i've seen you, hope you're well mate? I've really enjoyed this grow too, been some worries along the way and i lost a plant early to overwatering :i feel stupid: but now i'm within a couple of days of the finishing line overall i'm happy with how the grow's gone.Quote:

Hi Hudson
I read through your whole thread here and I have to congratulate you on a job well done man, beautiful plants.
I started my own grow of 5 WW a while back and started to log it also here now, only had a grow log on another forum before but your thread and the great respons and information it has produced made me also start up one here.
We have a similar setup, I also grow in a tent from seeds but in Coco.
I am hoping for as nice plants as yours. :)
Cheers m8
Waiting with quiet anticipation. Almost feel like I'm having a baby here and it is yours! I am so enjoyin this thread and a couple others that have so much info. The books I bought, doesn't even come close to this info!
I know, it is easier to search this forum. so, am getting ink in printer and trying to find CD to hook it up ASAP, or go buy another one, dummie friendly! Thanks so much!
Puffster, put a signature for your gro, would love to look it up! :) All is appreciated, as you can see, by ALL! pr:hippy:
I cant put signature yet, need more posts for that to activate in my control panel. Post post post. :D
Anyway, here is a link welcome to drop by:
http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...ized-coco.html
I have an excel file in there that give day by day information about everything in my grow as well as pictures ofc.
Just hope it turns out as well as Hudsons here :D
Puffzter
Hey thanks guys, it's good to know you've enjoyed the thread
You'll be glad you started a log here puffzter, I think it's a real friendly place, there's quite a few real knowledgable growers who are only to willing to help out with any problems and loads of people the same as us with lots to learn.
Thanks Cann.com :thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:
Here's a few pics of the scrog on the oxypot widow after a couple of days to recover, an upskirt showing the branching and a pic of the clone i put into flower after a weeks veg, she's looking pretty good, she'll of been in there 28 days tomorrow, soon passes when you're busy :D
phuckin nora hudson the upskirt of that clone with only a weeks veg tells me she sure takes her vitamins lol, superb m8,luvvin it
Yeah glad I found this place.
Man, I have to say your flower room looks insane!
You should be really prowd of that accomplishment right there and if I make it half as good through my grow I'll be happy. :D
Had an episode last night but I think it is under control again now.
Puffzter
Hey reef, lol sorry to disappoint you but the clone in the bubbler had 2 weeks veg, the one that got vegged for a week is the small one in dirt ;)Quote:

Ok quick update, plant i cut the other day has had 4 days drying, reckon it's got 2 days left, still a little quicker than i'd like, but should be ok? I've just weighed it at a little over 2 oz's, it does seem pretty dry so i'm hoping it won't loose that much more??
Flushed the other widow, that'll be getting cut in 2-3 days :D
The small clone in flower's had it's bloom nutes upped to 3ml per litre.
The scrogged widow in the bubbler is still stretching, i'm fighting with it to keep the canopy level, so far i'm winning ;) I've had to crush a couple of stems to slow growth on some shoots and i'm cutting more leaves almost daily from under the screen as i pull the stems down further and above the screen's not much better, some budsites are getting shaded by fan leaves, which for the most part i've tried to tuck away but a couple i've had to cut, it seems to be handling it well and looks healthy but i am worried about prunning so much??
Hey just a little update, the widow i cut is almost dry after 6 days, think i'll be weighing it later. The other is in its 36 hours of dark now and will be getting the chop tomorrow :D
Moved a few things around in there as i was taking a plant out, the light was pretty much as high as it could go and the bubbler was raised so the canopy was level. Since i lowered things, temps have gone down by a few degrees F ;) Started me thinking about other things i can do to improve the enviroment a little. Hmmmm
Few pics of the flower room yesterday before i took the mature widow out, a close up of a young scrog bud and one of the clone that had only a weeks veg. Let me know what you think about the scrog (or anything) as this is my first attempt so i'd appreciate any advice and comments.
verry nice bro.
that scrog looks real good looking.
Beautiful m8. Just beautiful.
Seems my problems are solved now also so my widows are hopefully on their way to that state as well. :P
May I ask how many plants that is in your bud chamber?
And what is the space again.
I will have 5 WW's on 1*1m (about 3foot4 square) here so just trying to figure out how cramped it will become. hehe
Again, good job.
Puffzter
Cheers hydro, just hoping i've judged the height right and I don't have to train them much more :stoned:Quote:

Take it easy :rastasmoke:
Damn!
Then I have to FEW in there, hehe.
But I will add more when I have new clones so I can harvest every month or so. Maybe some new seeds so I can get two strains growing. Hmmm. :)
Thanks for info and sorry for asking that stupid question
Puffzter
How many you've got in your tent depends on how you're gonna grow them, one person could get 50+ plants in a 1x1m tent using SOG, but another might only have one in there if they're growing trees in dwc.Quote:

A guy who i worked with used to say "there's no such thing as stupid questions only stupid answers" think you proved him wrong lol Only joking mate, i put it down to you burning a fatty, that's gonna be my excuse the next time i do or say something stupid :D
Hehe, yeah u see a lot of that here. :)
Well I am not Gonna sog or scrog them this time around since I really don't think that is a good idea with multiple plants from seeds. It should be clones.
Ill just let them grow as they please more or less I think and take actions when needed. I will make clones and build up a selection of one or two strains more as well I think while in process.
Your grow log is very very interesting for me since we grow the same strain in similar conditions. Thanks for keeping us so informed about your grow.
Puffzter
Yeah thats a good point about sog or scrog from seed, sogs outta the question coz you've not got enough plants tho you could do a screen for each plant for scrog and raise the short ones to keep the canopy even (there's a couple of grows like that on here i think) but it's more work than i'd like to do ;)Quote:

Good luck with the cloning, when the time comes you might wanna check out this thread
http://boards.cannabis.com/hydroponi...o-results.html
Really simple and cheap to make, no worrying about rooting cubes drying out, great success rate, it's fast too, my clones root in 5-7 days. Defo worth $30 and an hour to cut some holes in a tuppaware box ;)
Thanks :)
I looked into cloning techniques quite a lot actually so I think that part will be ok. Thing is I just dont want a designated mom this time around as I only have 5 plants so I will take a clone or two from all and then use the clone from my best performer during flower as my future mom. I think that makes sence. At the same time I will raise some new plants from seeds as well to get two strains going.
That's the plan that is beginning to form in my head anyway. We'll see how it turns out IRL.
