Exactly, THC dont kill brain cells, altohugh everyone seems to like to think it does... Its only kills the glioma cell which isnt used by the brain and is the only cell to form cancer...Quote:

I was out of there before I knew it -- ahead of my class -- and acquired what I set my mind to. Keywords -- "Set My Mind To."
Sure, I was still smoking pot and occasionally popping a cubensis cap in my mouth for some trippage, but I didn't let it interfere with my education.
It's a GED, yeah, but it's better than absolutely nothing. It's better than not having tried to begin with.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is only you can decide what you want -- if you want to smoke weed, smoke it; if you don't, then you don't have to. It just seems like you're trying to find a scapegoat for your problems. A learning curve is something few people share.
Oh, and there's evidence that the psychoactive cannabinoids in cannabis kills brain cancers caused by glioma. Cannabinoids induce apoptosis [ programmed cell death ] of glioma cells, and inhibit the growth of glioma in the event they attempt to return.
Glioma, one of the most malignant and deadly forms of cancer known to our species.
Cannabis, a potential cure?
This raises questions to the potentials of other psychoactive substances that the Christian Bible claims God sees as good and worthy, but the prohibiter's see as a curse.
I don't know if you're a God fearing teenager, but I'll quote 1 Timothy 4:1-5 taken from the KJV.
1: 'Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;'
2: 'Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;'
3: 'Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.'
4: 'For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:'
5: 'For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.'
It clearly states that God has a problem with any prohibition of anything he created.
That includes cannabis as well countless other plant derived substances. They ARE gifts from the heavens.
So, my friend, your parents are wrong. As is the entirety of the body that prohibits anything meant to be good, but instead is overshadowed by greed. Don't let that break you down, because you still have a choice.
Make the right one, but don't let it interfere with your studies.
Dude if you know what your problem is then fix it. You know you arnt doing good in school thats your fault not pot. Start trying harder and ask for helpQuote:

From reading this post I can already tell that you are suffering from something i went through as well. It's called assisted apathy (i just made that up but i know you may not believe me about what im about to tell ya, but its how it went for me so all i can do is offer advice.)Quote:

maybe you should quit, if you think thats really what you need. but let me tell you that what your parents told you is absolutely false, THC is a chemical, it behaves like a chemical, to say that it actually latches onto your brain cells and can alter and control your brain is COMPLETE and utter science fiction mumbo jumbo, i will bet my parents lives on it.
there are actually specific receptors in your brain dubbed CB1 and CB2. They recieve endocannabinoids that are produced in your body naturally, but they are also activated by THC as well as the other psychoactive chemicals in marijuana: CBD and CBN.
the high feeling you get is simply because you introduced a new chemical into your brain, its like putting a filter lens on a camera to add effects, but it does it to your brain instead, so all your senses are now coming through a filter that changes them. One thing this filter does is make music MUCH more enjoyable as im sure you know, it also actives hunger in unique way, making it a treatment for bulimic, anorexic and cancer patients. But the fact that it changes your perception of reality makes it a pleasurable activity because there are certain pleasure centers in the brain that react to, well, to put it simply, variety or a change in surroundings.
So before rethinking your moral attitude towards cannabis you should think about whether you're blaming cannabis for something that you are causing.

I disagree with all of you. Weed does make it more difficult to learn. Maybe not so much as an adult, but I know that when me and my friends smoke school is much harder. But after about a few days, I feel fine again. Plus, when I'm stoned I get really detached from myself and feel bad about what i'm doing with my life. But weed has plenty of problems and spreading all of your pro-weed propaganda makes you no better than the government you protest.
This is going to sound wierd...but my gpa actually went up when i started smoking...It was directly because of the pot though...I think its because I wanted to proove a point that it dosnt make you dumber so I started working a little harder...
