small government and low taxes is my motto, like Thomas Jefferson.
if Obama gets in you're gonna see the biggest tax increase in history,
despite what he says.
and, Uncle Sam will be in charge of your health care too, now that's a scary
thought, lol they don't call it 'socialized medicine' for nothing
Didnt the Republicans have control of congress and the White house for a substantial amount of time since 2001? if he knew about it in 2001 why didnt they take care of it when they had the chance? democrats couldnt stop anything during those years.
so dems were protecting wallstreet based insurance companies, that sounds republican to me. gotta make sure your buddies are as rich as possible, right?

EDIT: sorry, i forgot we had evildoers to find so I guess the rest of the countries problems can wait till the last 6 months of office time.
Fannie and Freddie are NOT THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL!
There are a LOT of lenders that aggravated the problem, and they were only two of the many causes of the crisis.

I'm not saying she is totally correct but it sounds similar to what McCain stated in the 3rd debate.
HE HE !!! I believe that she was speaking sarcastically, but I agree straight talk would make a point much better!!!Quote:

Taxes: How did this get turned into take from the privileged give to the poor? What Obama is proposing is increasing the tax is on the Individual people that make over $250,000.00. Not Businesses, Our taxes go into a giant pool that is then divided up by congress. He is just shifting the burden.
Now for the business taxes: It is said that America pays some of the highest in the world. On paper this is true. But in reality there are so many loopholes in this tax system THAT IT IS SICKENING. I know small business owners and majoir corperations that use the loopholes to buy personal items and then claim them as business expense's. Sure you can say it is stimulating the economy. But wouldn't we all be better off if they stopped this practice and used that money to benefit us all. ( we have a failing infrastructure, roads and bridges, water and sewer systems, etc.) If we got rid of all the loop holes we could then lower this tax significantly.
I am no economist but IMO the only real fair way to tax us is to completely redo the tax system to a flat tax! Which neither candidate is proposing.
