Reaper turned me onto these ppl. inadvertenly when I made that lil clone veg cabinet a while back . This 1 is like 4 3/4 in. square and moves 106 cfm for $18.00 . They move much more air than the inductors we were all talking about too .

HIJACK !!!!!!!!
Rhizome ,
Does Nat. Garden Whol. not deal w/ gen public ? I couldn't find prices on the 6" in. axial fans . Our 6" in. inductors on a 15 on 15 off schedule already n moaning = about time to bury it . The axials do make more cfm / or the inductors are rated w/ your furnaces blower in behind it = false adv. / fine print ? :stoned:
Can you get them or carry them ?
G/B you and yours

And has crossed the (sharp :D) finish line. Due to few things to come up in the last week (healthwise here and there) I went ahead and harvested the quickie.
I will try to get some pics out tomorrw. I'm thinking about 3 oz....;)
This plant was DEFINITELY finished.
What ratio milky to amber did you end up with on the speedracer? I think I have the same phenomenon going on right now.
I'm sure you told me but are you growing MK's MVP? I ended up with about 30% amber and the rest cloudy. I'm very happy with the buzz of these as well....nice and relaxing without having to drag my ass off the couch like with those white rhinos.
LOTS of lovely trim as well.
I have 2 MK in hydro and 2 former MK moms in dirt. The hydros are really sugar coated and the tops look swollen but triches just getting cloudy and no amber yet. They look and smell beautiful though.
Mine kind of did the same thing.....the one that finished anyway.....stayed milky for quite awhile at the end then all of a sudden started to turn quick. All that sugar you're seeing on there weighed out VERY nicely for me after drying.....the MK is good stuff but just too unpredictable.
PS...my other MK is still ambling along....its definitely going to be awhile before that one finishes.
Who's MK are you running, anyway? The Sensi stuff usually doesn't have a whole lotta variation cross the strain...
Got yer e-mail. ;)
Good Rhiz about e-mail...;) ......the company doesn't specify but based on that statement alone its probably not sensi then.....
I'm REALLY starting to see the importance of good and stable breeding..... And I honestly NEVER thought I would say that but I AM finding it to make a difference. :wtf: :)
Iff'n it was House of Sensi, they'd be letting ya know...
White Label ( Sensi's budget line) MK's an F1- sounds like somebody ran it off and released the F2- if you paid less than $7 US per seed, it's a knockoff...
If I'm right, yer seeing classic pheno variation in the F2 gen-
Should point out that the very nice individual that you've already cut would not have existed in the F1- F2 is often the gen to select moms from, if you're in a position to flower out (while retaining cuts) enough individuals to find the very special freaks:thumbsup:
But if ya wanna know what yer getting before ya even get the seed wet-
Not so much.
I'm always kinda skeptical of seed vendor/ breeder claims- Only a very few of the older houses breed on a scale that's going to provide any kind of stabilization. Given the relative grey area of the feild in terms of trademark/IP law (people who are already breaking the law of whatever country they're in rarely care about trademarks, and customers rarely sue for damages), there's no good reason for folks to be honest.
F'rinstance, actual MK from Sensi/WL is going to be the progeny of two individuals who have been chosen from a large population and worked in a multiple (100s) cutting system, assuring consistancy. MK from, say, the Rhizome Super Seed Collection is going to be the progeny of whatever I happened to be working with ( certainly not the two parents that Sensi uses- they spent a bunch of cash developing those, and they're not giving them away- unless I'm a real @sshole, and physically stole cuttings from them ( which has happened:wtf:))-
Maybe some MK that I bought from Sensi-
Maybe some MK that I bought from somebody else-
Maybe individuals from the populations that I thought MK's parents hailed from-
Maybe I just have a bunch of labels already printed up that say MK, so I'm just slapping them on whatever's under the couch...-
It's all about the breeder's rep, and how important that rep is to them...
Anyway, long ramble... No offense meant to small breeders, just saying that the nature of small populations makes for difficulty in stabilizing phenotype...Lotta great stuff comes from small houses, but for rock solid repeatability it's hard to beat the folks who work on hundred acre seedplots...
On the other hand, the really crazy elites that get shipped about as " clone only" are almost always from smaller houses- that's where they shine...
Well I think I have to agree with you as far as stability. Part of my problem is that I'm a VERY paranoid soul about buying things off the internet.....and frankly I'm not really talking about seedbanks. I'm talking about your GENERAL ordering off private companies or E-bay or whatever. As a rule that kind of ordering sucks (which is a REAL bummer since I live 1/2 hours's drive away from the nearest supermarket...) so I tend to go with what I know (online) and have had success with in the past.....especially when, as you say Rhiz, your ability to have ANY control over your seed order is pretty nil. Now I am coming to the point that you are talking about where good breeding and stability are becoming a much more important factor for me which is going to make things tougher. Before I just wanted to try all the different things out there (and still do) but with a smaller garden going I don't have the extra plants to grow off in weird directions....I want my grows to be more.....predicatable.
Now I have to go learn about all the breeders........
WH, did you happen to take cuts from the speed demon before she came down? Or are you gonna try to re-veg her? Sounds like an interesting possibility... and you know I like clones so no surprise in my commentary. It would be cool to have a Speeder, or very special freak as Rhizome called 'er, that could flower in 45 days or so...
I gave that some honest thought when Rhiz first suggested it but I rejected the idea based mostly on the fact that I'm just not ready to put together a setup of ANY kind for another plant and am just not willing to do the work involved. I DO like the MK.....but not enough to to create the situation needed to keep the plant or clones. Our house is SOOOO small......and I've already got plants popping out of the spare bedroom AND the living room so I decided I just had to let the opportunity go. :(
Well it was a great experience to live thru (vicariously), so now its a fun story to tell while sitting in front of the campfire passing one around... gone but not forgotten :)
I am still looking for my perfect "baby." I'm dying to try the power plant and ww feminized I've ordered and just wasn't ready to "commit" to one......sigh. i know my hydro guy thinks I'm crazy ("you still grow from seeds? EVERY time?") but I'm just not ready......
My Black Domina is such a beauty, she is my "baby". All of that said, the Super Skunk is less than 2/3 the size of my MK's with at least the same amout of buds...
I think the skunk would be a litte too "smelly" for me but I'm still DYING to try that Black Domina. Got any pics?
Whats the flowering time on that strain and whats the high like?
The BD (early harvest, aka the self harvesting bud) is heady and intense with a little body that creeps. I got 4 oz. off 2 plants barely getting it right. They are such forgiving little girls. If it went full tilt to 80/20 cloudy/amber it would probably be really heady AND medium-heavy body. My next cycle is gonna be all BD with my ph/ppm/temps all in alignment so it will be a great harvest. I always have leftover cuts and it breaks my heart they are such beauties! You should get in touch sometime, check my siggy or myspace page....
If we head to So Cal I will remember you......sounds like a nice plant. Am I correct in thinking that the yield was lower on that then some of the other indicas?
Have you ever seen one called the spirit of 76?
So one of my SNL x NH was getting a potassium def.....same exact look as on the rhinos. The are only 1 week into flower. I'm growing in 2/3 higromite rocks and 1/3 hydroton (had some old broken in stuff so tossed it in) and the other plant looked perfectly fine.....no problems with it all.
I already had a set of side holes drilled in buckets but I went ahead and added a second line of them; then flushed both plants with ph'd water. On the plant with the problems the runoff went in at 5.8 and came out at ph 6.3....with a ppm of 105 (starting at 15). The second plant came out pretty much the same except ph was 6.1.
Since flushing and improving drainage the k def has stopped on the affected plant and (i may be imagining this) it seems to me that some of the newer plants sections are actually losing their yellow spots and returning to normal......JUST on the last affected leaves but I CERTAINLY take that as a plus! (older leaves look the same and i'm not really expecting a change there)
I feel GREAT about working that problem out....it was driving me CRAZY and to see it start right up with the new set of plants just about sent me through the roof!!
I have to hand it to Rhizome for this one AND to X-C who taught me that a power drill can be a hydro grower's best friend. ;)
thanks guys.
hmmm, hydro (water) and power (electric) drill, yeah, this is a combo:wtf:Quote:

Crispi
Hy Weedhound... what about the power plant seeds ???Have they arrived ???
No and I AM starting to wonder. I've ordered from these folks several times before and always had very good results from them so I think if there is a f*ck up somewhere it will be at customs.
I DO live in BFE so hopefully its just that...;)
X-Crispi.....you are one sick pup. :D
The Black Dominas yield is pretty good, on par with that of other indicas I've grown. In my case I am limited by a couple of issues: Growing in a closet with a 400 HPS, and this last time the Blueberry took up space that the BD would have used better. Also I had heat issues when it was 95-100 during 2.5 weeks of late flowering. I didn't top or prune either, so lower growth was poor.Quote:

BTW - Spirit of 76... What is that?
I can't remember how to shrink these damn pics so its only lettng me upload one photo per post......GROAN.....:(
Looks like all the Northern Lights went to one plant and the Neville's Haze to the other.
Hard to believe these came from the same batch of seeds, isn't ? :wtf:
I threw this one in just because I like it. Had to resize image though (I figured it out....Thanks Rock.) so I figure everyone else should suffer as well.
My God.. awesome pictures Weedhound...i love the voodoo you do...
WOWZA MOMMA:jawdropper:
Those MKs look just gorgeous. I hope mine turn out half as nice!
Thanks you guys. I'm somewhat kicking myself now because I wonder if I should have revegged that quickie but this beast is coming on pretty strong!
Question: Don't suppose there is any way I could clone this plant at this late stage? Rock got me to thinking about it but it's probably way too late right?
I've cloned during the first couple of weeks of flower with no problems, and if it were me I would give it a shot to see what happens. Pick a bottom shoot cuz they root easier than the top ones. Plan to take 5 cuttings for every 2 that make it at this late stage. No guarantees that any will survive but take several to increase your chances.
I am amazed what happens when I just try something that seems impossible... When I cloned my Super Skunk it was vegging but the preflowers were so big it look as if she was 3 weeks into bloom - now she has roots and it ready for dirt. Yes, I said dirt - she's going to be a mum!
Rock mentioned snipping off all the buds. Do you use a cloner or what? I'm VERY clueless about cloning.....how would you go about it....especially with the plant this far along? I did get the part about bottom cuttings...will do there. Thanks ;)
