Question about my ban and my thread
So, he got banned agian for seeking an explaination and giving feedback in the feedback forum ? Sure some of it was rather repetative but he wasnt getting an answer. Some goot points feastonthisshit and I noticed that none of them were adressed.
Looking for reason is futile. There is no consistancy and no real rule base that is used to measure behavior.
Its largely personal opinion with little concern for facts and posted policy.
Some mods are great, and do a wonderful job keeping it clean and fun, and fair.... while others are triggerhappy and totalitarian and create an unfriendly environment.

My suggestion is for admin to pay attention to the climate of his own site or just watch members forced out and canncom turn into baked.com.
Not everyone getting the boot is an ass. And not everyone leaving without a ban is either.

so far, everybody I've seen banned was an asshole that needed banning, (and a bunch more that should have been banned), in my humble opinion, of course :D ... there are a couple of mods here, that dont take any crap, and ban quickly, and I also have agreed with their actions ... I find it remarkable that so many people think they have the 'right' to tell a website how to conduct their business ... this website is a privately-owned object, it is like telling someone what color to paint their house ... it's not our place to demand anything ... if you don't like it, leave it ... if you have thought of a better way to run this website, make your suggestions, and then, get on with your life ... if they use your suggestions, well, good for you ... if not, so what ? ... go build your own website ... (one pain-in-the-ass member here, got so mad, he went and made his own website, which failed miserably, and he apologetically returned here ... seems this website business isn't the piece-of-cake it was thought to be) ... either way, relax, go with the flow, and "learn more, to grow more" ...
actually, my only complaint with the website is the growing population of people giving grow advice, that have no idea what they're fucking talking about, which gets new growers off on the wrong foot ... if you don't KNOW, don't POST ... :smokin:

Yes a lot of "assholes" have been banned. But , I maintain not all banned people acted like assholes. And, not all assholes that should be banned get banned. There is a lack of consistancy is what I was saying.

Yes, feastonthisshit seemed to go on and on and on and gave the impression of bitching more than seeking answers and giving feedback and suggestions. He did however make some valid points and some logical conclusions. Those were ignored.

Yes it is a privately owned site and what admin has laid out as groundrules should be respected...by all members regardless if they are mods or not. That said, rules made up as people go along or according to one persons feelings should get posted so people know what the rules are. Asking some members to be held to a different set of rules than other members are tolerated to get away with is not right. Asking members to read minds regarding what each mod determines to be violations of the rules creates an unfriendly environment. In most cases its petty, but when it leads to member bans when they ask for clarification it goes beyond that. Trying to understand policy is not something someone should be banned for.
The feeling of community is dying. Ive read it time and time again, and watched respected members leave due to it.

Yes, tokosan was an ass. And, his forum was like tokosan world. Not a place I preferred, however some did. He had a strange sense of humor that guy.

And once again, most moderators do a wonderful job. SOme are down right sweethearts and/or solid guys. SOME, not all.

Ya see, when people that are new put in bitch posts and mention folks that haven't been on this site for a LONG time it makes us wonder what is up. We then proceed to check over I.P.s and cross ref. to ban lists ONLY to find out that the bitcher just happens to be member that got banned a day before the bitchers account was activated AND that the I.P.s match.
Just a heads up.......if ya get a perm. ban then manage to sneek back in, don't play the fool....stay low and play it mellow, like ya should have done in the first place.
