What the hell do i do?!?!??!?
My mom knows that I smoke and she isn't really thrilled about it but she tolerates it. Every now and then she will try to corner me about it and call it addicting. I take these opportunity to educate her about the positive benefits of cannabis and how it has directly impacted me. I've also educated her on the government's war on pot and their lies. She, like many others, was taken aback by the fact that doctors can legally prescribe Cocaine and yet not pot. I find facts like these that totally blow the lid off of the situation are useful to have under ones belt.
Coming out as a pot user will probably take some slow chipping away at the layers of propaganda your parents have absorbed. Don't give up and never get hostile. Come prepared with information, pamphlets, etc... This will make it less likely for them to think of you as a junkie which is an understandable reaction given the lies told for so many years.
Don't be afraid to be honest. My relationship with my mom is a lot better because she knows.
What the hell do i do?!?!??!?
I told her. She said she doesn't want me making a habit of it and only to use it on special occasions, but i think weekends only will be fine;) . She said she won't tell a soul and i trust her. I told her today cause my dad is out of town and i am so glad i told her. I don't have to be freaked out that she will find out. One wierd thing she told me is that when she was in high school that her friend who smoked a lot of pot actually burned her vocal cords. I think it was temporary but i think its interesting. Has anyone else heard of this?
Anyways thank you guys for encouraging me to tell her. It's such a load off my back now. You guys rock and i now declare cannabis.com forums my favorite internet website and online forum.
Happy Toking :pimp:

"Prep School"? You'd probably find more weed there than the school you're in now.
In my day, some parents sent their kids off to MILITARY school if they caught them using drugs. This is what happened to a classmate of mine, in my freshman year of H.S., who smoked. When his younger brother got caught, his parents blamed him. Even though he told me that he wasn't responsible, his parents didn't believe him and off he went. I never saw him again.
Anyway, there is new research that's coming out about pot, and young people.

From the above article: ??The brain of an 18-year-old college freshman is still far from resembling the brain of someone in their mid-twenties,? says Bennett. ??When do we reach adulthood? It might be much later than we traditionally think.?
The study was funded by a grant from the National Institute of Child Health and Development.Dartmouth College
You'd probably be better off to wait a few years.

Haha!
Prep School my ass. That's a nice way of saying "Residential Behavior Modification Program".
Look up the Aspen Group or WASSP, and find out what I'm talking about.
