You would think so, but no, i just checked them this morning, aside from the spot of decay on those leaves, it doesnt seem like its spreading, no bugs though (thank god). Would it be better for me to just let the plant heal itself? or just hack off the limb.

Soo today i went to my local home depot and picked up some supplies to being constructing my greenhouse. 2X4 8ft wooden stakes, some sheet plastic. The dimensions im using will be 7X5X7 , probably wont be finished till later this week, but if all goes well i should be able to eliminate alot of my concerns regarding the terrors of growing outdoors :-).
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Well it turns out i need more sheet plastic to finish :-) but you can kind of get the idea of what im doing.
The family is doing very well :) , the decay apparently went away, flies still a problem, but hopefully wont be once i get tent finished. It gets around 94deg far. out there in that field.
any ideas welcome! fucking hate flies..

MALE!!! BOOOO...
So one of my biggest subjects decided to start preflowering today.... multiple pods at the internodes... more than enough convincing after looking at other male preflower pics...
Im going to be moving this guy about 100yds away...
none of my others have started showing their sex yet.. but im praying for no more males :(

Well good news kinda bad news today.. more preflowers showing, have confirmed 3 females, 1 hermie (i did the same with the hermie as i did with the male, moved his ass far far away.)
4 of the other older ones still havent shown convincing sex yet. But more than likely ill know by next week.
Ill be posting pics up later, i wanna know when i should switch to my bloom nutes, seeing as how they are only in preflower stage.
Anyone got an idea let me know! :pimp:

No rush to switch nutes--think how it happens in nature:
Different nearby vegetation dies, rots, and fertilizes the soil from above as your roots dig deeper / wider and encounter different nutrients in the soil. Happens gradually as you move further into "season."
Probably the biggest difference the plants will notice is less available nitrogen when you switch to bloom nutes. As nitrogen helps a vegging plant get big and strong, you don't need to be in a hurry to kick your babies off the veg nutes. (If you had vegged the plants indoors at 24/0 until they were a couple feet tall and bushy, might make sense to slam them into flower when you stuck 'em outside, but that's just me.) Keeping the plants on veg nutes won't prevent them from flowering; the light cycle's gonna take care of that.
Some folks like to flush all the veg nutes out and suddenly change to bloom nutes when they switch to 12/12. Never seemed necessary to me. (I have to flush often enough just cause of salt buildup from hard water and nutes.) :(
Don't stress over the male plants. They're gonna be close to 50% over the long haul, obviously. Some say stressing the plants in any way (pot crowding, bugs, wet soil, etc., etc.) contributes to more males turning up. If that's true, it's another reason to try to do "everything right" when the plants are young. It does seem like the biggest, strongest, prettiest seedlings often turn out to be male, FWIW.
Odd you should get a hermie so young (although I guess I was only 9 when I started trying on my sister's clothes!) Be a little patient confirming the "maleness" of your flowers. Some strains produce new growth that looks a lot like "balls" at first, that then just develops into new shoots.
Once you have confirmed maleness, you're probably going to need to kill them. :chainsaw: Between breezes and insects I think those males can get your ladies knocked up from a hundred yards away pretty easy.
HTH. The plants are looking nice, BTW. Good work.
Hermie

 Thanks again for the info and support hermie :) , another update (i need to buy more batteries for my camera, will probably have pics up later) i finished applying the plastic sheeting over the frame, i think its still getting too hot during the day to put them underneath yet, or atleast till i can get it completely covered with another roll of sheet plastic.
I ended up pulling the male and letting the hermie grow a bit longer, still far far away from the others.. which are looking amazing, they are branching out very nicely, and no more male preflowers (not yet atleast) so im hoping to have atleast 4-5 mature ladies here soon :). Still feeding the older ones full strength nutes and 2-3 drops/gal of superthrive, seems to be working quite well.
I was wondering what the temperature threshold for the plants is, at midday the temp gauge reads 93 deg underneath the tent. which ill be using eventually when they start to flower to keep them out of the rain, and later sheltering them from cold.
And as always, i appreciate any comments or criticism!

Hey man looks like your on a journey:thumbsup: Man thats some bad heat ya got down there. If i were you the first concern i would have would be keeping them watered! I really wouldn't have that plastic out like that. It doesnt look natural. It will only draw attention and you really dont need it. Are ya going to grow them in pots or put them in the ground? Il be watching man:thumbsup:, but really, get rid of the plastic and keep them babys wet:rasta:
If ya put em in the ground they will not dry out so fast and they would be cooler in the ground, plus have the advantage of unlimited root growth:thumbsup:
Good luck:thumbsup::rasta:

Ah, well the plastic is only there for when winter rolls around here, sometime around january some years its dropped below 30deg far. but no less. But yeah, the ones in the bigger pots im going to keep them where they are, id be too worried about killing it trying to transplant in a clay pot like that. The soil around is way too acidic for any kind of real growth to occur (believe me ive tried), id rather try my luck with large pots
Temps here dont start to get low until early january so i think it'll be fine until then. The humidity factor out here is rediculous as well, somewhere around 70% today. But i make sure they never get dehydrated ;)
okay so here i've got a couple pics of the tent and underneath, obviously in need of more construction *and sheet plastic*, but for now it serves its purpose. Eventually ill get it ready for winter, for now they are starting to bush out, looking nice :D
