South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D

The following pics are pre and post transplant, the last pic is the 2 that were transplanted last week.

The soil mixture is purely organic, used a combination of:
1part Peat moss
1part perlite
1part Vermiculite
The soil itself is not miracle gro, lol... no extra unwanted nutes for me :-)

I just started feeding them full strength fox farm nutes, 1/2 strength for first 2 weeks ( they are 3 1/2 weeks old)

I was also wondering, seeing as how its so late in the season, how long they would have to veg (frost is not a problem here in south fla.) before i can expect them to start flowering, seeing as how we are in autumnal equinox.

Any comments or criticism is welcome!!!!

Was also wanting to start applying the FIM technique , anyone who has experience doing this before have any tips?

how's the winter over there? how cold does it get because you will be going well into January most likely :thumbsup:

They will start to flower as soon as they are mature enough if the lighting is correct

well more like mid south FLA, i may have to keep close watch as last year we had record lows of about 29 degrees.

If all goes well this winter should pass by with the lowest of 35 0_o

As of now it might as well be 12/12, the plants themselves get about 9 hours of direct light a day

Im also planning on starting an indoor grow as well soon.. seeing as how these are just bagseed, id like to step up my genetic game and get some real beauties. Gonna be ordering the Nirvana Chrystal, looks yummy :-).

I'd say hold off on that. Your plants are probably about to start showing flowers. :thumbsup: Unless height's a real concern (like if the neighbors can see 'em) you'll probably hurt your yield by fimming or topping so small, right before flower like this.

You need to get 1 plant in 1 pot ASAP. That's a much bigger concern.

You should also beat back that undergrowth around your plants, unless you're trying to hide 'em in there. You'll get more bugs, etc., and your plants are having to compete for light, space, resources with each other and the surrounding vegetation.

And "organic" is overrated, IMO. FYI:

The largest and oldest vermiculite mine in the United States was started in the 1920s, at Libby, Montana, and the vermiculite was sold under the commercial name Zonolite. The Zonolite brand and the mine was acquired by the W.R. Grace Company in 1963. Mining operations at the Libby site stopped in 1990 in response to asbestos contamination. While in operation, the Libby mine may have produced 80% of the world's supply of vermiculite.[4]

You can grow year round outdoors in Florida, and now is the perfect time down there.

BTW, pic number 4 is an Indica.

I'd say you're high, those are a May/June harvest according to the pics. The light cycle in Florida is perfect for an early outdoor grow.

Yeah ive noticed the pests are becoming a slight annoyance, i have been using Safer Garden spray on the plants at night, but theres still little tiny flies that like to run around them as well as some tiny tiny spiders starting webs between pots, i went out with a chemical pest spray and sprayed around the area. But yeah, trimming the site down was a thought i had, thanks for the support!
