1st Log, closet grow
I got around to making the 85 watt cfl fixture today. So that its mounted up in there was well. So now i should have a good 30,000 lumens
oh the new cfl is color temp 6500k.
I will post pictures in 2 days or so, so i can update progress. The plants really love the new light, and picked up a lot of speed in development.

Eb
i would definately hang a thermometer in there just to keep an eye on real temps.

Rock.

I have a digital one, which is mounted in there, temps are in the lower 80's.
The hps actually doesn't put off as much heat as i thought it would, the 85 watt cfl, puts off the same amount of heat really.
The room everything is a rather cold room, outside temp is in the lower 70's in the day, and upper 60's at night. That is why i installed the temperature probe in there, the day of the hps install.
So temps are in check :-). But i have noticed that it is much warmer in there with the addition of the hps, and the 85 cfl. I will have to keep a eye on the temp, on the hot days outside.

well they seem to be doing well, loving the new lights.
Buds are forming, and they are really growing!
Good news is that My other plant which i thought to be hermie has not showed any signs of it and is growing buds only!. I named it Marli
The one who was transplanted (conner), is showing signs of stress, but has started to perk up alot. I gave some 20/20/20 nutes because i was seeing some yellowing of the leaves. so a little more N in its diet right now should help it out.

Eb....the plants are too hot. That's why they look stressed. Do you have a fan you can aim upwards towards their leaves and blow on them. I think your new light may be too close to them even with your room temps being ok. Try pulling the plant farther away from the light if you can.....that will help the heat too.
Ps.....Easy on the N in flowering because it can inhibit blooming. :)

well the one is doing just fine.
I think its because of the transplant. I installed another fan yesterday. I will prolly be adding some more. But yes temps yesterday peaked at about 89 degrees.
I will have to monitor it, its been hot outside these past couple days.
which light do you think is to close. Because i can move it up.
as for the n, i don't think one feeding will hurt it. Next fert will be 5-30-5, instead of the 20/20/20 i just put in there.

I don't think one feeding will hurt either. Eb, 89 is too high for your plants. Try to get things down below 80 because if they get above it it slows down the growing process (according to my hydro man.....who knows ALL!) also put your hand next to your plant near the light.....does your hand feel hot after a little while? If so move the plant back away from the light......if not, you're good. ;)

quick update for today.
temps are now at a steady 80 degrees, with closet door open, And 83 degrees steady when the door is shut. Humiditiy sits around 40-50%. When i put my hand in the grow area by the tops of the plants, it is slightly warm, Temperature probe is slightly higher than the tops of the plants. You can see it in the one of the pictures, the bottom half. (its one of those indoor/outdoor temp and humditiy things. I just installed the outdoor probe in the grow space. So i get readings of ambient temps and grow space temps.
ambient temp sits at around 70 degrees or so, night time gets a bit chilly at 68degrees.
Still have some red in the stems of My untopped plant conner, i dunno why. The other seems to be uneffected, but still show a little red in the stems. Anyone have any ideas. I am thinking mg def.

I'm sorry I don't know enough about soil growing to help you with nutrient problems in soil. You have a very nice bud starting there though.
Good work getting your temps under control. ;)
