Incredibly PISSED off RANT.

Yeah, I was in the same situation! It is really hard to work and go to school at the same time...and especially maintain good grades and have a social life. That is if you are like me and actually HAVE to study, hah. I despise those people that make A's without studying. But anyways, would the work with you if you told them that your grades are slipping (even if they are not) and you Explain that you are a more productive employee when you have some time to yourself. Hmm...anyways, just my two cents. Good luck!

Tell your job you converted to Judaeism or some other such religion that celebrates the Sabbath on Saturday and doesn't believe in working on Sabbath. Then they are bound by law to give you that day off.

Just do what I did: Threaten to quit if they don't do what you ask. It always works for me.

i agree with geo, if its making you so upset i would be looking for somthing that will make u happy.

You should remind them that while they are you bosses, there's a reason they're paying you. You are doing them a service. If you are especially good at your job, then you should have the upperhand. Write your boss a letter of intent, which basically states the reasons you *NEED* time off. If they ignore it or don't comply with it, give your two weeks notice.

What's better, being happy with 7.50 and hour or being miserable with 9.50?

I just recently changed jobs for this very reason...lost my health ins,401k,took a small pay cut and it took me three month to find another job.....but I am SOOOO much happier, I love my new job!! I used to dread going to work,now I can't wait to get there!!
If you are good at what you do,have faith in yourself....you will find something else....Money isnt the only thing in life,tho it helps!!

I had a manger at one of my jobs schedule me for 40 hours one week while in school. When they hired me, I told them I could work up to 30 hours and no more and that I would rather 25.

I told him I would work that one 40 hour week but if he did it again I simply would choose with days I decide to take off. He didn't do it again.

I think it's time to offer sex...
