Incredibly PISSED off RANT.

GRRR I am sorry if you don't care but I am so goddamned pissed I need to get this out.

I used to have Saturdays off at work, which worked great because I go to college full time.

Well they changed it..and I dealt with it...nicely requesting a weekend day off before I go crazy.
(Mind you these weekend day shifts start at 6am)..

..so here I am going to school 4 days a week..and work 4 days a week(including working at 6am three days a week).

So I have no days off in between.

This has began taking a large toll on me, while I have still been patient in getting that weekend day off

So both my managers say they can do it, and I get ONE weekend day off-ONCE!!! (I have been going to work and school nonstop, no days off since April 1st-no days off in between EXCEPT last Saturday). Then they start not only NOT giving me a weekend day off, but I am NOW schedule at 5 days a week!

Having that Saturday off was sooo nice and I felt so much better about my life and work in general. I brought a better attitude to work and everything else..rather than hating it all.

I just typed up a long ass letter and brought it to my manager..and he basically was this HUGE asshole and gave me noooo compassion/empathy whatever..all he would say is "You are the only one to work on weekends." so here I am thinking, well wait a second theres a million people at my work and none of them can work weekends? I understand some people need weekends off because they do ya know, I feel I am one of those people! I am just asking for one goddamned weekend day off...how come he will accomodate all these other peoples needs??

I have worked here 2 years, been a manager and all...they appreciate my work and think I am a good worker..

...I feel I have to find another job and I am just downright pissed. I can't believe how terrible my manager just treated the situation..

..I was crying so hard I was hyperventalating.

I don't know what to dooo.

try asking your manager "do you want me to quit?" no threats to quit, just a simple question. start looking for another job and don't try to hide it from your boss. up to now you seemed to have been relatively happy at this job, but if they are going to take advantage of you then maybe it's time to move on.

I'd probably be looking for another job too. At least one that is a little more considerate since you're their weekend savior and all...Quit and see who he's got to work weekends, that bastard...

if it was me i would just say "this is the days i can and will work......" and if there were was no change i would just tell them to shove the job and id try to find another one.
thats just me though.

You shouldn't feel any way about work. You're hired to do a job so you must do it or quit. Since quitting doesn't seem like the thing Ms. Tallulah would do, I'm afraid you'll have to stick it out and get your damn name on the list for weekends off!

See thats the thing, I had Saturdays off, up until like Mid-March. Then all the sudden my schedule changes, and since the day they changed it they agree to changing it back. It has literally been like a daily conversation with both of my managers since the change.

I just absolutly cannot handle not having a single day off for months on end. It is killing me, I cannot work at 6 am on Fri/Sat/Sun nights being a 21 year old college student. I want a night to go out and have FUN and to get up the next day and be able to do my laundry..or clean my house..or go to do WHATEVER.

At this point, I have been getting off work and either moving my shit/cleaning my house/doing homework..basically doing crap you have to do that sucks.

I rarely sleep on weekends, and I end up in bad moods.

It has taken a toll on my relationships with other people Being tired and bitchy quite often really REALLY sucks. I am often easily irritated on edge.

I think basically what I need to do I guess is look for another job. This is a really good job though unfortunatly, so that will suck...but I really can't live like this..

Maybe it is time to move on and get a job that is more flexible to your schedule. If not, then you probably just keep on working Saturdays till whenever or burn it down. BURN IT DOWN!:rambo: BURN IT DOWN!:rambo:

You're right!-You can't sit idly by while your house piles trash, clothes pollute the air, and mind dims to darkness, but it seems you will have to for the time being anyway.

I just have worked at this place for over 2 years, and been in school the whole time...and they have accomodated for me fine before.

Full time doing both.

All I want is 1 freakin day off between both. They seemed to have understood before...but now they are just screwing everything up....

I even take classes that are extremely easy to schedule around.

I make good money too...dammnit.
