No offense, but anyone who falls for that junk deserves what they get.
Yeah, the same thing has happened to my dad with Ebay, but he knew it was fake. With Ebay, they get you to give them your username and password then use them to get free shit.
No, it really does look real. My dad said the link took him to a site that look EXACTLY like Ebay. For someone who doesn't know about stuff like this, it is pretty easy to fall for. Myspace has people doing the same thing, but just for advertising. If you think you have been phished, just change your password for whatever account you have.Quote:

I guess if you're new to the internet and shit it is possible to fall for it, but other than that...cmon you gotta be pretty gullible.
Got one a week ago that stated my paypal address had been changed to someplace in Florida. Immediately sent that SOB to paypals fraud dept. (as I had been burned once before). Within 5 minutes, they sent a reply stating it was a phishing fraud. Fooled me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...no fucking way!
I would love to get 2 minutes with these jerk-offs that pull this computer shit.
Some of the ones with Ebay pages are scary real looking... Just for fun right click the links in an email and see the properties...
