You'll be fine. Definitely unneeded stress, but it's not the end of the world. NY is pretty leinent when it comes to this.

This is an important lesson. The lesson is - dont say anything to the cops no matter what. The cops act "cool" so they can get you to say what they want you to say. Ever heard of "good cop, bad cop"? They write down every little thing you say in the police report and it "can and will be used against you in a court of law" - hence the expression. I know this from experience - my brother learned the hard way b/c he didnt know to shut his mouth. You are still young and the charge is probably just a slap on the wrist but now you know for the future. The police are not the friends of weed smokers. Peace.
hospital? weed? god damn you is a minor. cops and 16 year olds they just seem to always cross paths. wonder if theres a connection
awww *hugs* that sucks. Thats why I dont smoke with anyone whos like that. I cant stand people like that.
if the DA is being a dick and looking for a heavy sentence... you could always plea bargain.. as stated you kinda already tied everyone's hands on wiggling you out of it....
This part of the story seems VERY sketchy to me... Drug overdoses, no matter HOW severe, are always handled in a private and discreet manner by ER nurses and docs. Unless cops took him in for being publicly intoxicated, there is no way ER personel would EVER ask for 'names.' I've seen countless ODers- even underage- in the ER, and never have I once witnessed an ER staff 'ask for names,' as it's a violation of HIPPA, which ensures patient privacy.Quote:
