There must be a reason for any such actions you speak of - some folks do better to avoid the chat room, if they find (and/or are informed) their chat conversation is coming across offensive, etc to others.

If you still have absolutely no clue, then try contacting a mod *privately* (you can do p2p in chatroom) and discuss the matter further - no guarantees, but you may be able to work things out.

The way I see it is that you can pay £15 ($30.30c) for a dvd that will keep you entertained for 2 hour's. Or you can spend £10 ($20.20c rounded up to $20) to contribute to a site that you can learn from/enjoy for a hell of a lot longer than 2 hour's.:D

I don't care what you charge. I joined awhile ago and I get so much great info for all areas of the site that it's the best 20 I ever spent. Makes me so happy that I sent a bucket of dough to American Red Cross tsunami relief also. It hurts a little....but it's a good hurt!

Ok so I paid for it with my credit card and it allowed me in for about 10-15 min. Under my name it said CAfe Member. I recently logged in again and whoops I'm back down to REGISTERED status. What happened and how can I get back in. I know this is basically a donation, but I would like to at least check it out.

Your subscription was processed and recorded in the message board system just fine as being active, but for some reason didn't fully activate for you to actually use it.

I've corrected this and your cafe membership should work fine now.

It appears there is a bug somewhere in the message board software - I suspect likely a time / session related bug.

When viewing this message, take a look up at the address blank towards the top ... in the web address, do you see anything like "s=435eds445addffff33321fcc" ... basically, a long series of numers/letters preceeded by "s="?? I ask, since seeing an "s=" followed by a lot of numbers/letters in any web address on here means your web browser is likely blocking cookies. Things should still work, but asking to try to narrow down the bug ... you're the first person so far here to run into any problems like this; I just went through all cafe member subscriptions to be sure.

Also, if you don't mind me asking, what web browser are you using? MSIE, Netscape, Firefox, Opera, etc ... if you don't know, that's fine ... just trying to narrow down what the bug might be.

Please feel free to post feedback here anytime if you should experience any further difficulties.

Where are your servers, are they in the US? ); 2 - what exactly are the goals of this site? I know this seems picky but if its just aimed at smokers of cannabis then it isnt gonna do much to influence those who arent already drawn here; 3 - Is that $20 a lifetime membership or annual?

I know Im bein a bit of a pain in the arse and I fully appreciate the quality of the site, however I am a born sceptic and a cynic, just seems to me maybe you could do more with that money, perhaps get seedbanks and headshops that advertise here to agree discounts to cafe members (in exchange for a reduction in their advertising costs or something similar). Just an idea!

Anyway, like I say, I'll be cougin up the cash (along with some fresh organic green ;-) ) hopefully in about 49 days, on the basis all my q's are well answered!

Cafe Membership fees help supplement revenue, which allows us to add/improve service faster/better than we could otherwise.

Interesting idea ... a few advertisers already offer discounts to Cafe Members, but they don't receive any discounts for doing so. Demand for advertising is high and thus we offer very few discounts except mainly to those advertisers who pre-pay for 3 months or more in advance; most pay month to month.
