Cafe Membership is primarily intended for folks wanting to use the PM system and/or socialize with other Cafe Members while understanding the bulk of the annual membership fee is used to help us cover our costs and add more features - for example we have spent $10,000 in the past few months for all new quality content (to be posted later this month) for the CANNABIS.COM website that many folks have been asking for.

Meh. There's really nothing special there. Instead of paying 20 bucks, we could just use an IM client for free, and still get pretty much the same kind of features. But that's just me...

Limiting PM access to Cafe Members greatly reduces PM spam and other nonsense - that alone is a big benefit of limiting it to paid members.

However, with that said, yes there are numerous free alternatives to communicating, including the messages boards already here.

So if it helps, think of Cafe Membership as mostly a donation of sorts.

if i ever get $20 ill sign right up but ive had some stuff to buy lately and although this site is deffinatly not on the bottom bugget spendin' list(it dutin exist yet but by tomarrow morning =P) its also not on the top i have a few important things to get(not weed =P) so in about a month or so ill sing up as a contribution to this site and all the great advice/people here thanks for organizeing this site and makeing it a possibility 1000 thanks mr.bennett
