If you only like matrix, LOTR, Star Wars, type movies thatâ??s fine, youâ??re a #4. But if you like movies like Capote, Munich, Syriana, Million Dollar Baby, etc. etc. but still try to say a movie like Brokeback does not interest you, you are a #3!!
This is very interesting though, its reveled a whole new class of people â??
Homophobe-aphobes!! LOL People that are afraid of things about gay people but are also afraid to admit they are afraid of things about gay people!!!
I guess you are right!!
#5 is I donâ??t want to see Brokeback because I donâ??t want to see a movie about gay guys but I also donâ??t want to admit that that is the reason I donâ??t want to see it!!
Youâ??re a #5!!!
No wait, that Good night and Good luck flick is up too. Well I haven;t seen that one either so you can bitch at me about that too. ;)
BTW WTF is Capote about? I know what the others are but nothing bout Capote. I suppose I could look it up but I'm lazy. :stoned:
You can't even carry yourself like a man.
No "good night and goodluck" was nominated instead of Syriana which I do not agree with!! I have seen both.Quote:

simple you dont like cowboy movies! or maybe you dont like the director, the actor whatever, that doent instantly throw you into number 3, or any other one for that matter!Quote:

Capote is specifically about how Truman Capote wrote his book "In Cold Blood". Not about Truman Capote as much as it is about the specific writing of "In Cold Blood". VERY, VERY good. But it is the slowest moving of all the movies up for best picture. If you donâ??t have patience for a good movie, donâ??t go see this one!Quote:

But that does not make it a single bit more intellectual than Brokeback!!
Their wives were hardly a part of the story. They were almost background really. I'm not saying it was a bad movie, I think everyone should check it out at some point. I just don't think they should run out and see it right away.Quote:

If people took the time to venture out of their mental boxes, they just might learn something and more importantly, learn something about themselves.
As for the movie, it was great and the acting was second to none. It deserves the props it is getting.
So open your minds and go see the movie. You just might like it. :)
Just because someone dosn't wish to go see a movie dosn't mean that their either too stupid to watch it or that for some reason they hold some prejudice against the theme of the movie.
I haven't seen an awful lot of films including this one and I'd like to think I'm interested in more genres than action films and its certainly not because I have some underlying hatred of homosexuals.
I call it bareback mountain
Why does one have to be narrow minded because we don't want to see two gay cowboys in love? Not my thing but hardly makes me narrow minded....to me trying to force someone to accept your way of life when you put down theirs is narrow minded.Quote:

Thats why their movies are all earning like 10 times what they were 4 or 5 years ago. It's Great!!
I thought It was boring boring boring.

In this part of Texas, all the cowboys are redneck Christians or just plain rednecks, who are more than willing,to beat the crap out of gay folks and probably, especially, gay cowboys. We don't take kindly to drugstore cowboys or gay folks who like to dress up as cowboys.
To me,this movie is more of an attack against folks of Faith who believe that homosexuality is a sin,and against Texas and the rest of fly-over country, that liberals love to hate and make fun of.
Have a good one ...
it's not really an attack at anyone, it's just a story, and not a very good one.
I haven't seen it because it looked really slow to me but I'm sure I will when it gets to DVD. Calling it an attack on heterosexuality and Christianity is just silly. Yet another case of Christians being "persecuted" because the whole world doesn't unwaveringly accept their point of view.Quote:

I did see gays, dressed up as cowboys,on the strip outside the base in Chicago,I almost messed up and actually talked to one of em,till I realised whom I was dealing with. My company was comprised of rednecks and traditional values folks and we got rid of them in short order,as well as the worst of the prostitutes. . before we did, they had been preying on drunk sailors and marines and no one was doing anything about it,till we came along.
I no longer believe in physical violence towards gay folks, but I will certainly oppose their agenda's.
Have a good one ....
I still refuse to vote, there is a grey area, and I will not conform to your fascism BASERSX
