you will probly need to take them inside nightly as it gets into late nov as though it does not frost until december (not freeze) but there does get surface frost it does get too cold for too long over night, day temps should be fine, maybe an occasional cool day

One good thing about the colder weather is less bugs.

hey brother id you havent got to crazy with your tent yet i would like to suggest using 1/2 inch or 1 inch pvc and the connectors you can get online cheap they will last much longer and you can take it down and move it easily if needed i will post a little sketch up and a price list in a lil bit so you can see if you like it but im tellin you youll be much happier using pvc than wood.,

as promised took me a bit longer than i expected to build this in my program but it came out pretty good its the same dimensions you originally stated 7x5x7 feet and a 6 foot tall by 2.5 feet wide door. materials list to follow. best this is you can use a variety of dif methods to attach the plastic, you could use velcro for the door or a tarp zipper. if you are interested let me know ill throw in some ideas anytime.

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
ok heres the parts list-
17- 10' 1" schedule 40 pvc pipe (2.06 apiece)
12- 1" schedule 40 tees (.59 apiece)
10- 1" schedule 40 3-way corner t's (around 2.35 apiece)
2- 1" schedule 40 elbows (.48 apiece)
if you want it to stay together forever get some pvc cement to and you can glue it altoghether and that shit will never come apart or rot. if you want all the exact dimensions let me know so you can cut the pipes all the right size. this doesnt include any of the outside this is just the frame the plastic and however you decide to attach it to the frame is differant and is very simple.
anywho the total cost of the frame is only $66.57. all the stuff except the 3-way t's can be purchased at home depot for the prices i listed. GOOD LUCK!!! let me know whats up. you can get the 3-way corner tees on ebay.

Its a nice day today :) no clouds 70 degrees full sun. My plants are feeling the vibes  ive already started naming my girls, they just look so pretty. I didnt get a chance to get down to the store yesterday so i placed a pickup order online, they got amazing prices. So im still feeding them the same formula until sunday when i flush them and then monday its off to the races :D
Thanks for the tips secret! ill think about it, for now my tent is holding up just fine, plus i just went out and spent 50$ on flowering nutes, more soil etc.
I got bills to pay too ya know :) gotta work that budget in the best way.
I really like how my grow has turned out so far so i'm gonna be getting some Primo seeds to start next year. Ill be putting pics soon.
Now off to go get smashed and watch college football, later!

Yeah i was thinking about going with attitude bank as well, ive seen alot of good reviews from everyone about them.
So yeah its supposed to drop down to low 30's tonight a freak of nature cold front is moving through. but then itll be back up into the high 70's on monday (praying that weather forecasts are somewhat accurate). Should i be worried about covering my plants for the night? Or just let them tough it out.
My blood is way too thin for this weather.. lame:wtf::wtf:
Anyone got an idea lemme know!

I just checked your forecast, looks like a low in the mid-40's for your area. Your girls should be fine uncovered in OK FL!. Good luck.

Okay so heres some new pics! Everyone looks great, Tallest is 22" (dubbed first lady), smallest 13" (dubbed ugly bitch) <- i know not so creative, but she is rather ugly.
You can see the fly in pic #5, theyve been around since the plants were just babies, and i suppose they arent doing any harm so w/e.
Lemme know what u think! :hippy:

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Okay ,so! After careful bandaging and taping my injured mommy is back on track! i figure she needs another week with the supports on her tip before i take them off, other than that shes back in action. So im still trying to figure out the indica/sativa'ness of the plants, im damn sure that only 2 have the same genetics, the other 4 are completely different. Ie. The plant in pic 4 seems like it doesnt want to branch out, unlike the others who are booming with bud sites.. Assuming that its going to take about 10 weeks to finish flowering, i figure they'll be done right in time for Xmas
I've been using the fox farms lineup (Big Grow Big Bloom Tiger Bloom) and was wondering if anyone needed the support of nutes like Botanicare Sweet or molasses etc while flowering.
I planted some tomatoes and banana peppers as well earlier this week, they just sprouted and soon moving into my Gtent!

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
So i did my daily checkup on the garden this morning, the ladies are looking stellar calyxes are in the early stages of *fattening up* crowns are looking purty.
I found a couple males among the newborns, not even 3 weeks old and showing pods. So instead of my usual throwing of him in the trash, i thought it would be fun to watch my cats eat them, low and behold they love it! i could never get them to eat any other form of vegetable, but they sure do love fan leaves
-
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
I was wondering if it would be ok to give fan leaves to my lizard's(bearded dragon's)but thought better not just in case, be careful your stoner cat's may get a taste for it and rip your grow, lol.
I had a sample from my plant and it was mostly leaves but very sticky (never bought weed this sticky before) been in flower for 63 days and still hoping calyx's will fill out , heard they fill out the last 2-3 weeks (fingers crossed).
-
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Okay so now i feel bad today :( my cat got sick from eating the fan leaves, something obviously didnt sit right in their stomach. *probably the clorophyll in them*. The jokes on me cuz i had to cleanup the puke :wtf:
As far as bearded dragons go DMC thats your call, my friend has some leopard gecko's and a bearded dragon, fed them a fan leaf on top of crickets... Honestly, i think animals should stick to their diet, and let us humans be the test monkeys :stoned:
Today is feeding day and im adding 1tbsp of grandma's unsulfured molasses on top of 1 1/4 tsp Tiger bloom 1 tbsp big bloom per. gal. Im only going to be feeding them molasses once a week. I was noticing this morning a couple branches were going purple, a possible K deficiency, not really a big problem (the rest of the plant looks fantastic) so i just figure they'll sort that out.
Im very particular about hating insects, and im getting good at spotting/eradicating them. Yesterday after recycling the soil from the male plants i was scooping it out and in one scoop there were a bunch of lil' white squirming maggots (EWWW). I tossed them to the wind and then dumped poison on them, lol. I have a feeling that its an isolated infection, as i didnt see them anywhere else. I also like to check for spidermites (yeah theyre a problem) I found one webbing inside the top cola of my pretty lady, a couple squirts of my plant spray and sucker was dead.
I really wish i didnt have to worry about bugs ruining my plants, but... i suppose it comes with the territory of growing outside.
If anyone has any recommendations as far as all purpose bug removers go, im listening :).

Okay so im gonna line up the pics in list / description
Pic. 1 : This indica just refuses to bush, but is coming along nicely with her flowers. She looks like shes just going to have one main cola running up the entire plant, aside from the internodal fan leaves, the side branches arent really extending.
Pic. 2 : Taken at night, im not 100% sure but if i had a guess id say shes a sativa.
Pic. 3 : This is the biggest of all, started flowering about 7-8 days after the other 5, Fan leaves are almost twice the size of my hand.
Pic. 4 : She's the smallest of the group, has the look of indica, dark green leaves, only 14" tall compared to the 25" biggun.
Pic. 5 : Canopy shot of the injured girl, Bandages and supports came off today and she looks to be doing okay, no real signs of stress @ all. Flowers are coming along quite nicely, for everyone that is.
-
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Looking good , its amazing how a snapped branch can survive with a bit of tape, my plant snapped the top 1/3 of the main stem and a side branch and I just wrapped around a little tape with a splint (straightened out paper clip) and my plant showed absolutely no ill effects.
Are you sure that first pic is a female? it looks a little like a male.
Good Growin.

Hey man its not a good idea to take pic's of your plants at night, because the flash can mess up your light cycle of the plant and you will get male/hermy:wtf:
peace and lookin good:rasta:

Good Growin.
lol definitely sure, i guess in the pic you cant see, but the branches at every internode are swelling up with calyx's. Shes just going to have one main cola running down the entire plant from the looks of it. She's been given the same treatment as the rest of them, but as ive said, all of them have completely different sets of genetics. Sub for 2 which i believe are from the same bag.
Thanks LetsSeeYa, i didnt really think about that, the only other light they see at night is from my lighter, i dont usually check them @ night, but, i find its a good time to look for buggers. so far its just the aphids and spiders that i find mostly.
Ill be posting more pics up sometime next week. Thanks for your support everyone!

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Okay so im gonna line up the pics again, everyones doing great as usual.
Pic. 1 : This is Bertha, shes pushing 3 1/2 feet and is only 2 weeks into flower. Giant fan leaves and bushiness tells me shes a Sativa Hybrid.
Pic. 2 : Top Cola of the mommy behind Bertha, i love searching for bugs, and then smelling the dankness on my fingers :stoned:
Pic. 3 : Top cola of the previously injured mommy, obviously shes back to full health. She has 8 budding branches around her, which is gonna look rly nice when shes finished :).
Pic. 4 : This is the bushless Indica, you can she shes swelling around the internodes, very healthy, but.. instead of multiple branching cola's shes just going to have one running down the entire plant.
Pic. 5 : This is what i believe to be about an 80% or more Sativa, about 6 inches smaller than Bertha, about 3 weeks into flower.
So aside from the 2 big sativas, the other 4 are about 3 1/2 - 4 weeks into flower.. and should be about done within the first 2 weeks of december. And then the Sativa's i gather will finish right before XMAS
Also i wanted to point out, on one of the indica's and the injured mommy, fan leaf stems are getting red & purple mixed in amongst the grains.
Is this a nutrient deficiency or an overnute problem?
Holla back! :hippy:

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Since i was doing updates i figured id get a 360 view and inside group shot of my tent.
Also i found another big fucking grasshopper sitting on one of berthas giant leaves.. hopefully now that the tent is almost fully enclosed, bugs wont be as bad as they were. I'm gonna have to go out later and give them a dose of bug spray.
Anyways.. if you got a comment, lemme know!

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
They look great man.:thumbsup:I see your green house set up looks much better, good job man:thumbsup:And your plants look healthy. Red stems can be a N def. So a shot of ferts with lots of N would help i think. Just dont over do it with the N later in your grow, cuz your weed will taste bad, mine did:wtf: Grow and learn though. Give em a good wash before harvest will take care of it too.
Later man:rasta:

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
I was going outside to water everyone, and then smoked a j *its nice having room for a chair in there for when i dont feel like standing while trimming*
Found a ladybug on one of the stems, pretty cool i thought, seen a few lately since i sealed everything off. which brings me to another awesome thing, no bugs/andor bug damage seen in the last few days.
Im throwing in a couple bonus top cola shots too, lol...
Im pretty relaxd right about now.

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Hey secret, you damn right im a plastic luvin Floridian. works well for me, so far atleast. I've since weighed down the sides with more staples nail's and bricks at the bottom.
DMEFC -- thanks man, a few of them started flowering earlier than the ones in the back. They still need another good 4-5 weeks , the taller ones i dont think i'll be harvesting until late december.
I cant wait to see them all finish filling out, i thought it was pretty neat that every single one of them has different genetics.
I'll post some pics up next week sometime, until then
:hippy: and love

so i was feeling a lil naughty and stole a couple nug samples off the indica's... oh.. man. im :stoned: just ... i cant wait after trying them out till they finish here in a month. Still got 4 others waiting to be sampled :D
So yeah just felt like id share a smoke report :) bout to pack another bowl.

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Okay so business as usual, pics of the 2 bigger ones in the back, and cola shots of everyone else, yay!
Also my massively fruiting tangerines are almost all ripe ready to be eaten.
Which brings me to another thing, the sativa on the right has like a lemony citrusy scent to her, she still has a long ways to go before i take anything to sample.
Everyone else besides the 2 in the back has like... 3 weeks left give or take.
I smoked a Gram j from the bushless indica yesterday, and i got a cerebral head high followed by a body high that lasted a good hour.
Later! , TK
-
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
:) not much to say other than everyone is just about at the finish line, im giving them another 6 days of nute's / water and then flush for about 9 days. then harvest. Atleast thats the plan for the 4 in the front, the 2 in the back still have another 4-5 weeks left till they're finished.
Im lazy and dont really want to put up plant pics, soooo im putting up a nug i got curing :) off of one of the indicas.
-
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Just smoked half a J from the previously injured lady, Soooooaring atm, very uplifting high, ill put some pics up after this thanksgiving holiday is over. They should be almost done by then

South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
So here is one of the last pics i'll be putting up before harvest.
So far ive been a naughty boy as far as sampling goes.. i imagine ive already smoked atleast a ziplocks worth. Bertha and sativa bitch are untouched however, but since they started a week later in flowering they're getting 2 more nute days then start to flush.
Just as well, to make my money back from the investment from soil etc. I sold ugly bitch to a friend for 80$. He says her branches are looking to be atleast a 1/2 oz, on top of the main cola he should get a nice loot.
As i do not have a jewelers loupe. That same friend does, i brought him a sample of the other 3 to test and inspect. They were about 1/2 cloudy 1/2 clear a couple weeks ago.
The same 3 in the front are now about 15% amber 85% cloudy.
Ive been flushing them for a little over a week now, i suspect they should be ready for harvest in another week.
So heres the final lineup. sub ugly bitch.
#1 Is sativa bitch, she has a pungent stink and although i havent sampled her yet i cant wait to see how she smokes.
#2 This is Bertha, i didnt really have space to show the rest of her and get a good closeup so this will do :). Shes going to be a provider, already it looks to be atleast 1 1/2 or more zips.
#3 This is the top of the bushless indica, Through the cold or genetics im not sure, but her leaves have been purple for a month now, still healthy and green underneath. Her trichs are more amber than the rest. atleast a 35/65 ratio.
#4 I never really named her.. but shes got a skunk like no other, another week 1/2 on her and shes done.
#5 This is the previously injured hybrid mommy, She has a top cola that alone i suspect will be a 1/2o, her branches are nice and fat too, probably a little over an OZ left on her.
So thats it! Ill report again in a couple weeks with harvest pics!!
Stay fresh everyone! peace :hippy:

Oh yeah! almost slipped my mind and wanted to ask, but im sure i know the answer, is it normal for fan leaves to yellow up and fall off? Ive been noticing that for a while. But the buds and the budleaves are all still very healthy, i just wait for the leaves to be able to fall right off the stem before i prune.
Either way just wanted to check.
-
South Florida Newbie Outdoor Grow Log :-D
Okay i figured id put a couple pics here to show you the size, this is a branch i cut a day ago off injured mommy, shes fat and thick :).

Hey man looking great:thumbsup:. Leaves fall off as they age and the plant matures. The purple you see iv heard comes from Afgani strain.
I have been over in the indoor section growin, so iv missed out on the good part it looks like. Good job my man:thumbsup: I had a bud like that big puffy one ya got, in fact looks just like it. Im smoking the branches of it now, lol.
Check it out. Cant wait till the harvest, il be back:rasta:

Thanks much for the vote of confidence LSY :)
Yeah weather for the last couple days and the whole next week is looking like cold weather and lots of rain, so yesterday i pulled the purple indica and the skunk with the big fat puffy bud.
Previously injured mommy is getting chopped on sunday, and the 2 in the back still need a couple more weeks.
But the high i get off the skunk is incredible for a wake & bake. Smoke one nice fat bowl and im ripped for a good hour or 2. :stoned:
Either way ill post some harvest pics this sunday, what an amazing journey its been
